Greater Still (Condensed Version)

Your voice, more soothing than birds in song,
Your eyes, deeper than the deepest seas,
Your hands, more gentle than you are strong,
Your lips. more inviting than all of these.

For you I'd give up life in its own,
Or relive those years when I was tossed and thrown.

I wish you were with me, tonight at all cost,
If you are not mine, then all hope is lost.
The hope that subsided with fire and ice,
My heart has been broken up far more than twice.

And I fear that I no longer have pieces to give,
For I too need some fraction to live.

For you I would travel the world, climb the highest hill,
Because you are the greatest, and greater still.
