Finding Love Despite Me
In through all of life's many circles
round and round our steps find the way
never in a straight line goes our life
many bruised bumps for this feet of clay
In early years of my teenagehood
socially inadequate unable to converse
lovely ladies made one feel so uptight
hadn't gift of being poetic in verse
thought often of totally giving up
but my destiny would not allow
up there in heaven plan was set
didn't know then it would be now
Then in mid 20s met first love
soon got wed but short was time
my love left this earth soon after
held my faith believing it no crime
After being alone for nine years
found again real true blessed love
now together past silver wedding
thanks to God He knew it all above
