Eternal Promise At the End of the Rainbow

I wonder if this heart will ever reach
A rainbow's end upon a golden beach

I'd slide down multicoloured lovely ride
Feeling the warmth of sunlight as I glide

There in my fantasy I long to be
As long as my sweet love is there with me

Together we will stroll upon the shore
Knowing the truth that less is truly more

Feeling the water lapping at our feet
Seeing the place where sky and ocean meet

Our life begins in place where rainbow shows
The gentle breeze of passion quickly grows

For I know I have found my gift of gold
Within these arms my sweetheart I do hold

The magic I experience with my eyes
I've come to know the truth and realize

Each of us is offered a rainbow gift
Search for it's magic let your spirit shift

For in the place of love and fantasy
Colours are as vibrant as they can be

Couplet for Eve Roper's Rainbow Contest

When I read this to my wife I asked her what I should title it.
She commented that Rainbows are temporary to which I responded.
"Rainbows are an Eternal promise." Hence the title was born.
