Love Poem: Eros' Power

Eros' Power

From afar
I sense you.
I sense your desire--burning in you.
I sense your passion--burning into me.
Your essence closes the space between us:
floods the false reality that pretends,
and takes command of sense--our bodies
thus united, breathe as one,
intertwine as one, creating love and lust
as just mortality and the divine
could reach into each other once
and find a paradise.

Time disappears, and such a love
makes ridicule of history and presence--
nothing separates--your body hot,
my manhood searing it--
our endless closing and abandoning,
more real than any scene that might have been
in heaven or hell, and should we reach
the absolute, such climax would be incomplete;
such night would reign forever.

Here, my love.
Here is our night; no one may steal it away.
There is no coming day--just an eternal now.
Inside you, I am god.
Inside you, goddess, we are us,
and as I pound your body with my own,
filling it as you fill me with womanhood,
a new reality, incapable of death,
is ours!
