Dreaming and Wondering

Dreaming and Wondering

I often wonder as the day unfolds,
Will I find love…as the years make me old?

And when the sun sets in the sky
Thoughts of my past go a rye

Replaced with the vision of walking hand in hand
Through life’s gates, loving my man

And each time the seasons begin to change
My wonderment …goes free-range

Akin to snow cradled mountain tops
Nestled are next year’s healthy crops

A walk where blossoms soon will abound
I know that spring is coming around

I find myself taking in the view
Life’s inherent gifts … always new

Like on a sunny summer day
Watching children splash and play

My gosh the years went so fast
Youth…so far back in my past

Fall stirs my soul, beauty’s all around
Leaves artistically paint the ground

Once again the chill is back
Deer’s are making their snow tracks

As another season unfolds
With restless winds I’m getting old

Evening casts a new shadow down
Thoughts once more go full round

That my soul mate, may well be
 Dreaming and wondering…just like me!
