Defuse and Compromise

Not one to run when I hear an alarm,
I have no desire to do others harm.
I try to defuse the stress with my charm,
And use wit and patience as I disarm.

No reason to sling arrows or try to be curt,
For lies and harsh words will only hurt.
There’s no need to rub faces in the dirt,
Calmness and peacefulness we should assert.

Be open and mindful to find common ground,
Solutions to problems can soon be found.
Both sides of the issue, both should write down,
Compromise will make a plan that is sound.

No one that’s mindful really likes to hate,
God gave us senses so we can relate.
It will take effort, don’t rely on fate,
To patch up the errors with your soulmate.

So, focus on love and all that you share,
Forgive one another, try to be fair.
Defuse and compromise, show that you care.
And life will be filled with little despair.
