Love Poem: Death By Lust

Death By Lust

Impervious to love or hate, trapped beneath the skin
A symptom, fluid token with the temptation of sin
For lust reacts such potently, a blazing whiter flame
Destroys the heart and soul, the carcass burnt and maimed
Hate is an emotion, a reaction, a disease
Can be cured, can be forgiven, emits when you bleed
Far end of the spectrum is love and fluff and trust
There's cutesy bunny rabbits and reams of fairy dust
Between the black and whitened points, the flying and the falls
There lies the venom, there lies you, most dangerous of all
An eclipse of uncertainty and narrowing of eyes
Analysing, scrutinizing truth between the lies
Then only speak the careful words you think they want to hear
Dispose of them as delicate sweet nothings on deaf ears
Emotions are exaggerated, bi-polar and confused
Absconds at your most vulnerable, ensures you feel abused
