Completion

At the heart of my being
There lives a reasoning, a meaning
Flowing through my veins,
Lifeblood, the Creator’s gifts
Hope, faith and love… gentling
Relieving, freeing, easing…

At the heart of my life
There lives a feeling, a believing
Glowing brighter than the sun,
Reflecting the music, rhythms of soothing
Embracing my spirit, reassuring my soul
Preparing me to give generously
From the heart – gentleness, tenderness

At the heart of my knowing
There lives a serenity, peace within
Growing like the southern wind,
Stirring whispers of color, hues in vibrant
Truths, dreams and beautiful
Inspiring, insightful, impressive integrities

At the heart of my silence
There lives a memory, sensitivity
Showing the intensity of a fire burning
Away all the darkness, the fears
With laughter, hope, faith that cheers
Remembering the wonders, the stillness

At the heart of my kindness
There lives a wishful assurance, a hope
Blowing away the sands of confusion,
Filling the spirit with elation, exultation
Euphoria that reminds the music
To play on, the dance to continue….

At the heart of my desire
There lives a burning passion, a fire
Slowing the doubts, the struggles
With a promise of victory, success
That fills the life with a jubilant light,
Such an amazing sight, so alive

At the heart of my faith
There lives a miracle, His grace
Taking away all the guilt and shame,
The burdens that brought me so much pain
With their sins lingering beneath
The truth of His rising, His surviving…

The cross, where He left us with the hope
That is forever alive, smothering the past
With all its despair – reassuring the heart
That there is a new start, a new life – a new day
Where the love that abides in His presence
Is forever alive, always inspiring – saving eternally…

I am so grateful for this Savior who awaits me
In heaven, where I’m heading – when this life is over
And I’m finished with the present so that I can know
The miracle of His presence – forever in His peace
Where there is a completion that satisfies the spirit,
Gives hope, faith and love that completes – eternally
