Closer, Babe, To Fine

Closer, Babe, to Fine
(lyrics with no tune yet)

Baby, baby, baby,
I think you’re super fine.
To be with you beneath the moon
I think would be divine.

There is just one problem.
While my mind’s on you,
I’m not even on your radar,
so I’m feeling blue.

Chorus:
Cause baby, baby, baby,
you don’t even look my way.
See me: I’m a feline.
By your door, I’d wait all day.
Catch me; be a canine.
And let me hear you say
you think of me at least now as
closer, Babe, to fine.

Baby, baby, baby,
how I wish that I could be
even close to being fine
like you are to me.

Just to touch your lips,
I’d be your glass of wine.
If I were a grape though,
would you pluck me from the vine?

Chorus:
Cause baby, baby, baby,
you don’t even look my way.
See me: I’m a feline.
By your door, I’d wait all day.
Catch me; be a canine.
And let me hear you say
you think of me at least now as
closer, Babe, to fine.

Baby, baby, baby,
may our destinies entwine
in a midnight’s starry, starry sky.
With you I want to shine!

Sweet boy, how I worship you.
I wish to make a shrine
and pray you’ll love me back
by giving me a sign!

Chorus:
Cause baby, baby, baby,
you don’t even look my way.
See me: I’m a feline.
By your door, I’d wait all day.
Catch me; be a canine.
And let me hear you say
you think of me at least now as
closer, Babe, to fine.
