Love Poem: Bring Me Your Rain

Bring Me Your Rain

Don’t hide your eyes
If you need to cry my love
Your weather doesn’t worry me
Paper dragons run for cover
Fearing the strike of unknown
But I’m a sailor
My stillborn sail
Sits adrift at sea
I’ve journeyed so far
Searching for a deeper channel
And a push of warm breath

I don’t mind your tears
Pour your lush all over me
Bring me your emotional flood
Let me wash my face
In your reflecting pool
Maybe I’ll see a better man
So long as
You can show me your starlight
When my nights are dark
We’ll weather your rain together
And plant a weeping willow tree
