Bittersweet Morn

Dreaded are the darkest nights inside Souls bereaving just before the dawn When new daybreak slowly appears On the horizon of a bittersweet morn, Comes the sun’s rays swift awakening Through bitter tears and restlessness To lie across a heaving landscape here Soon tossed aside to face another day, Despite the loss of joy and happiness In early morn before an alarm sounded, While I slept, she slipped quietly away And stole with her all my blissfulness, Afterward there’s nothing more to say.
