Love Poem: Beauty

Beauty

Without and within, more depth than the skin,
Pale with a substance and lustre,
A feast for the eyes, she fiercely defies
All descriptions mere language can muster.

Whether raven or fair, the glistening hair
Falls with a cascade of framing
A cameo face of cool elegant grace,
A beauty worth endless proclaiming.

Such body and mind, absolute womankind,
Invaluable emblem of splendour;
The sweep of her gaze and her firework displays
Brush away all the world has to tender.

Of loveliness speak, of an intricate chic,
I retire on a plateau of knowing
I will wish on a star and watch from afar
And reflect in her beauteous glowing.
