Love Poem: All Over Again

All Over Again

Lonely tear stains
A naked heart is drenched
by a torrent summer rain
Promises poured down the drain
How does one ever get use
to such intense emotional pain
Harsh words exchanged
Why did you both resort
to calling each other names
Assigning the blame
No one ever feels that they're guilty,
just cause invoked sharpens the aim
Love loss is freedom gained
Counting the cost lets you know
that the grass ain't always as green as it claim
Molten desires will change
Time will temper the exasperation,
in the future you won't be the same
Begin all over again
Take another underground trip on the night journey to love;
moving through the darkness, searching for the light at the end
