Agony and Ecstasy
Cascading waves wash ashore
tickling our toes as they ebb and flow;
and moonbeams set a thousand jewels sparkling
on the shoal.
Smiles summon sweet emotions
as we stroll upon the beach
hand in hand, under a starry sky,
pausing to build castles in the sand.
And in this state of blissfulness,
two halves of one soul unite,
for all eternity.
Our hopes, our dreams, and our tears
we willingly share;
trust opens our hearts to the intimacy of love.
And yet, love offers so much more,
facilitating fantasies
and fulfilling dreams.
Agony and ecstasy meld
within each passionate kiss.
My heart feels as though consumed by fire,
having never felt a love;
as intense as this.
