A Little Blue Dress

An evening on the shore
Where two people were made one
But became something more
The night of fun had begun
But there was more instore
A little blue dress had won
her smile had left mine floored
A sweet laugh that tied my tounge
Eyes that let my mind soar but
Before I could take a breath,
 my heart had plunged
deep into a sea of uncertanty
I was Wrapped up in a dream,
Relations seemed to be something I had yet to feel in a while
A distance in between not emotions but miles
Years of built up blockades eroding at a rapid rate
Resesitating my ability to trust another mate
Her words that seemed strong as oak had me hanging on by a rope
Lured me in with a sweet false hope
So I poured my heart and her response was to choke
Pokin at the fact that Im the one who has to cope
Little did she know it was more than my heart that just broke
Now Ive lost it, trying to proccess these lies are making me naceous
Next time be more cautious my mother said,
Its becoming a grind to deal with these losses again
And even though I feel as If I fell apart and landed flat on my face
God showed me I hit the ball out of the park and now were winning the race
