A Warrior For Love

I'm a Warrior

Don't bleed of fear

Armed and ready for battle

Anytime Anywhere

Don't look for trouble

But if trouble be

Skies of lightning and thunder

Strike my enemies

Am a Warrior

No one's too Big

To be cut down and defeated

By Grace of GOD they will

I'm the Warrior

Its win, Win or Die

Stand up for LOVE be not afraid...

Raise Swords up high

Jungle Love

Your sweet nectar
wraps around my senses
like jungle vines
steady drums beating
Your heart near mine

Your strong hands
hold me suspended
by my waist
Just enough pain and strength
against my supple skin
For my taste

The musk of your
sculpted body and the forest
has me going wild
But yet, the tender way you
protect me, reminds me of
Being a child

A safe familiarity
with a strain of animalistic
seduction
Your invisible hold over me
leaves me arrow poisoned
Unable to function

My long dark hair wraps you
with smells of coconut and ocean Sun
your locks full of mud and enemies
Blood
together, my warrior
We make One

A Zulu Warrior

Do you sometimes see a Zulu Warrior Staring back from the mirror in the morning! A nasty fierce looking bad tempered dude Obscenities flying out without warning Crabbing bout having to make a living But enjoying all the many accoutrements If it wasn't that, it'd be something else People just love to complain and vent A shower and shave, you're almost human Not one person will ever suspect That a member of the Zulu Warriors tribe Was a coworker of great respect Do you sometimes see a Zulu Warrior Staring back from the mirror in the morning! © Jack Ellison 2012

I Love You

I love you
I never kissed
I never touched
Yet I know
We are one
So now I hang my head
Alone
I am all done
Death becomes me more and more
Without you life has become a bore
I mount my horse and ride off
Into the mountains high
I am battle ready
A heart so scared
They call me brave heart, fierce and bold
I battle the infidels, behead em all
I am no brave lad, tiss for sure
If I was
I would battle you
For your love I long
Like spring flowers growing in battle scared fields
I have lost this war of passion I seek
You have castrated this warrior tall
Of Passions woes
I lie down
In graveyards sowed

A Love That Can Never Be

You stand before me proud and free
At first I thought you were a fantasy.
You're smile, your touch so real to me
I need to know what you want of me.
	I try to understand
Why you have come to this strange new land
So out of place in this land today
Yet I want you so to stay
I feel you are a part of me
I feel I need you here and you need me
I hope and pray I can find a way
To make you stay here in present day
My brave warrior proud and free
Take my hand and stay with me
Together a whole new world we will see
Let me give my heart and soul to thee
But alas you are just a fantasy
And a love that can never be

This Clerihew's For You

Don't cross swords with A Poet Destroyer,
pretentious jousts really do annoy her
Her weapon of choice: a crossbow or a saber
she'll Cupid your mind, turn your rhymes to confetti paper

Dedicated to Poet Destroyer for being the first one to welcome the Romantic Warrior to the Poetry Soup community. Much love to you.

Pearls

I don't need to be Hemingway...
Or anyone else....
I am comfortable being me
In lust with you....

My poem of a man....
A warrior...
Speaks all I can say
to you....

Golden curls and red lips
So excite me....
In my dreams
Pearls are my gift to you
As I sleep....So loving.

What's Next

From a child to a mother
Now a mother to a child.
From a student to a teacher
Now a teacher in every fight.
From a warrior to a sinner
Now a sinner with an open mind.
From a follower to a master
Light awakens the ambiguous blind.
From a victim to a warrior
With cuts leaving visible scars.
From a heart with love embracing
I will deliver until life parts.
Faith, serenity, hope and death
All lead to what’s next!

Oneness

ONENESS The heart of my ancestors beat not, but their love does, all in one accord, our drums beat for them, and our love always once again, beats our heart, we are united, warrior and peace pipe, in the light of the sun. Date: 08/31/2019 howmanysyllables 3,4,2,4,5,3,2,3,2,3,3,5,6,1,5

My Daddy Died a Hero Death

My legion whom I doth love well
Our future battle might be hell.
Fierce hostile enemy our foe
We’ll not fill our hearts full of woe.
Let’s not stumble, falter or sigh.
When we hear the Scott’s battle cry.
Let’s uplift each other with grace.
Show we are here to win the race.
Whatever happens on this day,
You want your sons to always say,
My daddy died a hero’s death.
Insanely brave ‘til his last breath.
Now please know what you always knew.
Forever I’ll be proud of you.

Be Fearless Wild and Free

You can be fabulous. Follow the butterflies.
You can be fearless and uninhibited. Land on marigolds.
A warrior who buries negativity into a wayside bundle.
Dance your demons away.
Share your angst with no one
Be a monarch, show off your polka dots.
Hide your pain in the depths of the pink roses.
No one appreciates your story.
We are too busy licking the sorrow off our own.
Twirl at twilight.
Enjoy her purple and pink ribbons of love.
Glorify your happy memories which no one can take.
Some may pretend to listen, they do not. Fly away from them.
Be fearlessly wild and free, flitting from flower to flower.
Prance your joy. You can be fabulous. Follow the butterflies.

Roses of Humanity

Burn the bush and eat the fruit.
Take everything you can from this life.
It’s not meant to last
And you came first
Rules of the desert
Leave the dead and wounded behind.
Bushman, atavistic warrior
Live by the spear and die by the machete
An AK47 by your side.
Sixteen years old
Never felt true love
Lying there in death
Bleeding from your mouth
The roses of humanity
Have left their thorns in your throat
You never cried
You never laughed
You barely lived
And then you died.

In War, Victory Kills

The Warrior On Top The Mountain
Swings His Sword Like A Legend
Though I'm Skilled In Combat
Let These Words Teach You A Lesson...
Some Avoid War Because
They Could Lose In The End
I Avoid War Because
What I Will Destroy Just To Win....
Defeat Dies.....
Victory Kills...

My Warrior Heart

How can
I live my
entire life
without being in
your heart

Being denied
your warmth
and light left
cold and in
the dark

Forever
without the
love and care
I’ve searched
for all my life

To have
my time end
all alone with
doom at its
climax height

My heart
it fights a
constant battle,
an endless
war inside

To look
in my heart,
is almost like
peering, into a
warrior’s eyes

Without your
love my heart
will die, for
without you
I have no shield

But not
even the death
of my warrior
heart can’t change
the love I feel

Jimmi Cannibis

Jimmi cannabis sweeps,

toward deepening feet,

doesn't call a river to wash me out of the Sea,

I’m deepening the beat...

Jimmi Cannibis leaks-
lie’s of the beast,

jumps out a door when you can’t feel my heat,

wait in the warrior horde if you’d love to hear me speak,

and adore the geeks,

streaking like tweets-

lessoning like the little,

blessings by an unholy fiddle,

crosses to manage the middle,

oh yes,
danger could be yours too ya widow...

Press For the Prize

Do love...not for prize or reward.... The warrior or soldier goes into battle simply to serve his or her country..... Like a tax preparer that never touches refund..... only putting in work just because..... and would reply, "look! we won!" Doing a deed from the heart..... is better than doing it for a charge..... The recipient doesn't need a receipt when an act of love touches the heart..... meaning the act was genuine and heartfelt..... A warmness that makes the heart melt..... That only comes from above..... The only One Who is Love.....and knows what love is truly..... is GOD

Song of the Earth

Like an echo to my voice, a smile to my rejoice..!!
Shadow to my stance and the rhythm to my dance..!!
She is god's greatest feat..She is nature's way to greet ..!!
Life's a chance to win her, she's the rose grown in concrete,
Trying to blossom the warrior within her ..!!
She isnt a mere song, she is heaven's symphony !!
She is the vibe that smiles accompany

A Wheelchair Warrior

Deep down within Diane is a warrior that makes her tough as nails...
And her battle and her weapons give her courage as she prevails.

Early in the morning, before you and I have stirred our coffee, she has already stirred
the heart of God...
And because she has MS, many times all she can do is smile and nod.

She's a west coast gal with a prayer warrior's heart...
And though she lives in a wheelchair, with joy and enthusiasm, she does her part.

Although MS only allows her to sometimes just smile and nod...
Remember, while you're having your morning coffee, Diane has already stirred the
heart of God.

Kinley Raine Evans

Little Kinley Raine warrior of light,
When you came into this world
You came in ready to fight.

Our thoughts were full of Prayers
hoping for you to have a chance,
Although we were on a mental coaster
We held our ground with a positive stance.

After a Month God decided it was to soon
for you to stay with us and bloom,
It's hard for all of us but we understand
other plans were in-store for you.

My little niece meeting you was a pleasure,
I wish we could've spent more time together.
Kinley we love you and miss your adorable
face, When you get a chances to sneak away
come back down here and give us a spiritual
Embrace. R.I.P Kinley Raine.

The Golden Shoe

The Golden Shoe

It derailed me on arrival, there was the golden shoe
A warrior who lapsed a portal, the prophecy was true

His name began to roar, who ran of rapid speed
And from another world, its told that he would free

He rushed inside my heart, he told me we were lovers
He’s to save me from the king, the prophet of thy runner

He’s lost his mother in the one, and found her in thee other
The Golden Shoe has come, they’re yelling in the gutters

A man who has no fear, if scriptures tell it right
Thy man who wears thy shoe, will strike its golden light

' My Shield, My Sentinel ... '

My Shield, My Sentinel
Savior Of My Soul
Guards My Path Well
… and My Footholds …

My Shield, My Sentinel
Lifting Up My Light
Even If I Fell
He Keeps Me In Sight

No Chicanery, No Treachery
Can Succeed In Stopping Me
Nor Can Lasting-Harm Me
Nor Forever Hunt Me

My Mortal-Soul’s Safety
Held In His Hands, Safely
Protector Of My Eternity
My Sentinel, My Shield Is Mighty

My Shield, My Sentinel
 Sentry Against Spells
Warrior Against Hell
My Guardian Angel

Pushing Far Apart
The Shadowed Veils
Floating Towards My Heart
Like Shipwreck Sails …

… and as Wind and Water Wail
And Rings A Warning Bell
And Thunder Truth-To-Tell
I Saw The Shield … Of My Sentinel
