Sunflower Serenade

I’m singing honey-
rinsed sunflower serenades
twirling with corn rays…
and I’ll waltz through every fall…
to embrace his saffron warmth

Hyacinth Hymn of Healing

In a hyacinth bed of seven stars, winter fairies waltz in pearl elegance~ a token of faith engrossed amidst scars, while skies drizzle rain in fruity essence. Angel of sleep seeks through frost's icy thorn, fallen feathers soar towards jasmine moon, when lotus light within soul is reborn, listen to the tree of life sigh and croon. Somewhere between daisy dusks and rose dawns, seeds of sun unfurl promises in gold, sowing herbs of hope across sequined lawns. In the realm of healing, love I behold.

Golden Leaves of Autumn Delight

Golden leaves of autumn delight
Where season flaunts hints of romance
Blazing passions of smitten sight
As themes chromatic swirl and dance.

Charming dreams of romantic eyes
Golden leaves of autumn delight
As twilight blushes on mauve skies
Lauding missives of zealous night.

While amber notions waltz in flight
Spurring thrill of flaxen meadows,
Golden leaves of autumn delight
As tunes of love heartbeats compose.

Crimson motifs gelid winds blow
Twirling, whirling, as they alight,
Where gilded canvas glints on snow
Golden leaves of autumn delight.

Cherry Blossoms

atop worn weathered concrete
pink petals gaily gather
entice lovers strolling
fingers touch  mittens vanish.

blushing halo canopy
highlights cool rosy cheeks
tiny buds whisper passion
newly awakened  long sleep.

sky gleams dreamy hues
turquoise shyly taunting
button noses cold   rub
lips plump  part  wanting.

kiss  two hearts waltz
more kisses  sweetest tune
cherry blossoms dance
sprinkle magic  love blooms.

Sunset Serenade

When the sunset queen sings,
jinxed Jasmines wither, and~
primrose willows quiver,
unfurling clemency
in ivory sliver.

When the sunset queen sings,
wailing waves pause in awe
sea-fairies waltz through haze,
twirling to tuscan tunes,
flipping turmeric rays.

When the sunset queen sings,
nightingales sigh and trill,
as moon pearls soar above
cinnamon glazed ripples,
ferrying psalms of love.

When the sunset queen sings,
first star of twilight bleeds
flaming lilies of heart~
inking dusky dreamscapes
with mellifluous art.

Dance With Me

Writing is dancing with words...
     a titillating tango with verbs delicious...
          a sultry waltz with rhythm and meter...
               a hot rumba with randy adjectives...
                    a forbidden dance with unnamed nouns...
                         if this has not left you wanting more
                         then I shall dance with words no more.

Poetry is a pure passion play
     of alliteration and words dancing in line,
           a quick-stepping, twin-tapping salsa,
		a seductive rhapsody in rhyme,
		     moving metaphors, measure and time…
			   my love is wrapped in this poetry
			   so will you please come dance with me?

Unfettered Love

Beneath the lasting hours of nightfall within our private dwelling;
naked feet waltz about the harmonized
silk petals eleven steps
onward to that of
the flat-bottom
vessel.
Unclothed,
laying
in the
clear
crystal foam
accompanied
by shadows
of flickering
scented
flames
and two
wine glasses
teem with Champagne.
The temperature arouses
both temples, allowing entry for torrid love.
Precipitating...Evaporating indiscriminately...Sigh...Our hearts now set to rest.

My Dear Valentine

In the depths of the night I swear I saw your halo
Drifting above, when my thoughts were calm
Ornate but simple like the humble daisy
Lovely and stunning from flower to bulb
Oh how I dreamt that you could be mine
Vision of beauty as the belle of the ball
Enchanting the evening as we waltz to and fro
You had my heart and I knew it was luv
O my beloved, my truth, my valentine
Until death do we part, my love to you I bid

Close Your Eyes

Close your eyes and think of us

as we journey across the sea

take my hand and waltz with me

in the shadow of the moon

Close your eyes and think of us

listen to our hearts

take a chance and stay with me

in the comfort of my arms

Enter in my dreams tonight

we'll spread our wings and soar

float amongst the clouds with me

at the foot of heaven's door

Be the sun that wakes me up

the breeze that keeps me cool

be the rain that keeps me fresh

the one I can talk to

Close your eyes and think of us

when something's right you know

come and be my partner

the one I won't let go

Winter Widow Wordplay

whimsical windswept whiteness
wedding weekend wanderlust
willowy wonderland waltz
wrongfully weathered woe
wintry wishful whispers
wrestling woodland wintertide

welcome waxen wallflower
weeping wheezy widow
whimpering wholeheartedly
wrangling worthless worries
wanton wretched wrongdoing
wedged within wickedness

Christmas Waltz

Soft
songs in
tunes
know of
Christ child's love
in praise
that
pure dear
notes were sung,
as Kings bend low
with gifts of
gold and
oils
to bless
God's sweet son.
Christmas,
we
share His
love.

The Wonder of Jesus

Tell me why oh why

Why birds do fly

Why clouds drift by so slowly

How in sunny skies

Flowers spring to life

The earth and sky our glory

Pray tell someone so right

Would bloom to blow away

Why memories dance the waltz of love and hate

What tomorrow will be

May sadden me

Why do I feel love

when I hear his name~ "I'm Born Again"

Many Lifetimes

Incarnations of many lifetimes
sweep before me...
Liberating my soul's chants
As universal notes of music
Float on vibrant strands of color,
Phasing purple, pure and light,
In violet vibrations, swirls of
Incandescent glitter shimmers
Drawn by gravity in downward drifts.
Flaming candle's smoky essence
Mixes with incense of sandalwood
In a wafting waltz of vertigo.
Past and present intertwine
Lacing love with pulsing pain.
Effervescent breath is shallowed
By visions from the living dead.

My Christmas Love

My Christmas love has eyes as warm as cocoa sipped by a cozy fire. A candy cane smile draws me to him. It is a treat to taste sugar plum lips so sweet! Written Dec. 19, 2015 for Kim Merryman's A Christmas Waltz Wave Poetry Contest

Dreams

I have dreams
Where our hearts dance
Along with our bodies.
Hands touching hands,
The sweet intimacy of a
Silent waltz.
In these dreams,
We are one
Our souls fuse,
And we are infinite.
We are floating
We are magic
We are a flickering flame
In a land of eternal night.
We are apart from reality,
Every background noise
Replaced by the sound of
Two synchronized heartbeats.
I have dreams where
The melodies in our head
Combine to create
The perfect song,
And flowers bloom with our every step,
Filling our bodies with roses and lilacs
So that if in that moment we were to die,
We would bleed bouquets.

Death, Where Are You

Afar I can still see a glow
Of lights dimmed to low
And sounds echoing hollow
                             Death, where are you..

Sway of lone pine tree
In a forlorn waltz by the sea
Begging you to set me free
                             Death, where are you..

Robbed of my only true love
Emotions raw on the wings of a dove
Breathless cries high above
                             Death, where are you..

What of destiny
And the arms of infinity
Have you forsaken me
                             Death, where are you..

A Viennese Waltz

~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Viennese waltz, seamless and sublime... We move as one, adrift on heaven's floor; and, though my knees go weak, sky-high I soar! Each measured stride defies a need for time. Within its reign, we actualize our climb... impassioned flames, no longer keeping score, now steal their way through paradise’s door, and hardly contemplate this choice a crime. But, in this blissful state, subdued yet free, I've come to fear the thing that I love most for flames still threaten to devour me; and I, alone, am dancing with a ghost. Each dream, concrete, then sheds all certainty; alive, fulfilled, I'm left an empty host… ~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another Year, Another Dance
Another year to say goodbye.
Another dance for us to try.
Another step--another tune,
Another waltz--another moon.
Another chance to get it right,
Another kiss--another night.
So let the music softly play.
I've nothing planned until the day.
Another year--at midnight new--
But ah, the dance, is never through!
"moon Lit Dance"
Our slow dance under the stars and moon...
The music in the background plays our tune...
The sand on the beach is our dance floor...
Your hips move slow and have me wanting more...
The glow of the sky is our crystal ball...
And this secluded ocean front is our dance hall...
We blend into one as the song plays on...
A waltz across this stage to a sand dune where we bond...
The grooves are slow the motion seductive...
This dance of love is a gift that we both live...
Embrace the Line
Embrace the line
   it flows straight yet narrow
   guiding the eye and the hand along its edge.
Behind lies the blanks waiting
   hoping for some beatific message
   to be filled in along the emptiness.
Focus and see the ink
   flowing from the pen
   in a cursive calligraphic display.
Words and phrases wrapped around a vision
   that waltz dances on the page
   then springing forth in calypso imagery.
Hears it, feel it, see it give birth
   in poetic prose and rhythms felt
   deep in the mind, heart and soul.
Embrace the line
   it draws attention
   and unexpectedly,
poetry is born
   right there
   with love, inspiration and deep emotion
revealed along the lines.
Wind
I spring alone with forgotten memories and shattered letters, I waltz through every landscape, I leap unendingly, sprinkling imprints of my fondness as rippled dunes and filtered secrets. I am passion and chaos, beauty and power, I jog in hair ice and frost flowers, stroking my lover jealous. I pour out shields of ideas and inspirations, gently on your soul when I fondle through her arms. And when we clash, I become a dust devil, I swirl like Turnado in heights splashing debris into your eyes leading to tumultuous storms.
