In a Vampish Way

In a vampish way, the moon erupts from the sea
pirouetting across white cap and trough valley
through an impassioned performance of love set free
	in a vampish way.

A persistent tease, she sets her mind to dally
with Eros’ desirous heart as her victory,
only to break it with her vigorous sally.

Darkened midnight skies find her in malicious glee
as she counts coup for a final mental tally
and she continues en l’air on her odyssey
	in a vampish way.

Victory

GOD,some laugh,some jeer,
But I know YOU are always near,
I walk this road called life, without fear,
Looking around does anyone really care,
Every love has it's share of hate,
Every weakness has a tot of faith,
Some will do anything to win,
Hurting others while they grin,
Be wise check yourself from deep within,
You can be victorious without a sin,
Hold GOD hands through thick and thin,
And your VICTORY will be EVERLASTING,,,,,,

The Positive Agenda

Be positive today and everyday,
You say what you mean and mean what you say,
Be positive, Be genuine too,
These two go together, to make a better you,
Be positive, keep thinking for yourself
You'll make the right decision, without anybody's help,
Be positive, in everything you do
Be good to others, it will return to you,
Be positive, show others the way,
Better to do more work and far less play,
Be positive and always be strong,
You'll strive to do right with very little wrong,
Be positive, that's the way to live,
Knowing how to love, showing how to give,
Be positive, this is the way to be,
Faith in God to guide you, will provide you, sweet victory!
You'll see!

Born of His Spirit

My life has been a winding road
of circumstance and clutter.
Yet my Savior takes my load
smoothes my soul like butter.

I dedicate my life to Him;
it's the least that I can do.
For He fills my cup to the rim
with mercy and rapture too.

He loves me even when I'm small
while His love washes me.
With Jesus I feel ten feet tall;
forgiven,clean and free.

I shall praise Him all day long.
I'm wrapped up in His love.
To Him I'll sing my victory song
and dwell with Him above.

Eleventh Hour

It seems so late,

on your answer we wait.

 Time is just an illusion,

we search for our conclusion.

 As hours turn to ashes,

in love, we see the flashes.

 The final hour is here,

fortold by the seer.

 In that hour we live,

the eleventh hour to give.

 Only heirs know that hour,

for in him we have power.

 In victory we proclaim,

the glory of his name.

Aftermath of Our Lord's Passion

You have sacrificed yourself sweet Jesus for our redemption

Yet we celebrated Hare's Day instead of Your holy Resurrection!

© Demetrios Trifiatis
        17 April 2017

* Although the poem that was chosen as POTD on Easter Sunday is a fine one as a poem, I find it most inappropriate to celebrate our Lord's Resurrection. We have to remember that Easter Sunday has to do with our Lord's victory over Death and not with a hare's sweet eggs.

It is not the case that I do not love the poet or the poem but I love Jesus more!

PS: I know this might cost me dearly but I must defend our Lord's Passion.

How I Need Jesus

Dear Jesus… I realize
how much I really need you!
  I want to honor,
love and trust you!

I know that others will
disappoint me…
I know that you’re here….
And will take care of me!

  Your principles of holy
living is what you taught!
Love, Joy and peace…
is what you brought!

 May I bring honor
 to your name!
Your message of salvation,
I need to proclaim!

Dear Jesus… You’re all I need!
 And so much more!
It’s you that my life
was meant for!

I offer to you, my lord,
praise and thanksgiving!
For all you’ve done,
 And the life you’re giving!

You all I’ll ever need!
The anointed one!
There’s victory in YOU!
Life’s battles are won!

Growing Old

GROWING OLD…
     (And We’re Still Together, Babe)

Growing old together,
We’ve mellowed
Like
Fine wine.
How
Much more
Our love
Is to refine
As we ride
The waves of passing time.

Neither sting-
Less death
Nor defeated graves
Can claim
The victory over
The sacred love that is
The essence of us:
Of our story.

Ah,
The children
Came and left
And now we’re all alone:
You, me
And the dogs.

Praise God!
The children
Are
Now in their own home!

Primavera

On this day, the light declares victory
The Sun’s unrelenting march
From its Stygian, icy fortress
Has at last dethroned the indolent dark

The pendulum swings into the black
The metronome ticks maddeningly faster
Life, the sleep sand wiped out of its eyes,
In love again in its giddy mania

Emerald mother unfurls to embrace
The fertile seed of the victorious Sun
A hint of pollen with each breath beckons, as
The world spins dizzyingly towards its fevered peak.

Life Lines

Life Lines

When I look at Grandma’s face
there’s a great deal I can see.
Every furrow shows a trace
of her family’s history.

There’s a line for every struggle
every victory she’s won.
There are tender lines for daughters
and generous ones for sons.

Beneath her eyes lines of sorrow
show how many tears she’s cried
yet around her mouth as many
show her laughter and her pride.

Grandma’s face is full of charm
and for every line I see
a gentle spirit revealed
in her love for family.

Let Who Is Athirst Come

Come, I say, let who is athirst come..
We are saying, His Holy royal name
and we are shouting out victory!, praise!, and
    triumph!, for the great King!

The joy of the Lord is our strength…
His love and mercy endures toward His own…

Therefore, I will sing praise unto God…
I will sing praise unto the Lord…
Jesus, Father and Holy Ghost. Amen..

    His kingdom is so sweet…
There are streets paved with gold…
    Where the sun never sets.
    The tree of life is there;
For the healing of my soul.
    I say my soul-o-o-oul,
    Hallelujah...

I'M Pushing

I’m Pushing
I’m Pushing,
I’m pushing into shadow bringing light,
Trapped in a prison of my own misgiving,,
I am living,
But every morning I wake up tired,
Because I am pushing,
Into a kingdom that awaits me,
Into a harmony that awaits my family,
Into a compassion that awaits my society,
I am pushing into shadow bringing light
Fighting with weapons of unconditional love,
Holding to the promise that by his stripes we are healed,
I’m pushing,
I’m tired,
But I will win,
For there is a man who holds the victory in his hand,
And he gives it to me freely,
I’m pushing,
And I will win,
Thank God!!

Love of My Life

I ponder these things transpired in my life
Us crossing paths, you becoming my wife
Affections so strong etch deep in my soul
Encompass my heart you already stole

Tough as an oak, you withstand our trials
Soft as rose petals, your victory smiles
The children, the stress, no getting you down
Those full, supple lips show rarely a frown

Near thirty-five years since we said our vows
Intimate moods you're still able to rouse
More than double our age since we first met
How you change my life I'll never regret

My darling, my bride, so much that you gave
A lifetime of love we'll take to the grave

No Guarantee

There is no guarantee
when it comes to the
heart...

though love released with
sincere eternity – our carriers,
though Homers of loyal wings
transverse a sky of hawks

There is no guarantee
when it comes to matters
of interpersonal love – only God knows
man's truest beats – for the mortal heart
is an aggressor
while also retreats

Love, indeed!~ is a campaign of sorts

armies of feelings going forth

entrenchment on both sides

love often hides

while never a victory without
two fond surrenders

Poetess

Feminine perception of spirituality disarranged.
Scroll,
Her bed quilt in the darken moments of the immortality.
Soften mental touch of her inner womanly,
Shoulder of tender hearten listening are all her begging tears request.
Only wondering twilights letter writings to weep upon into words.
Heart's trail with guidance endured by perfume ink of her soul,
How she bares her spirit womb in ungodly pain,
Naked to be heard in unloved screams.
Greatly needed in the reading of the opposite realm .
For we lapse daily in pride,
Yet?
In victory can we read and become greatly into the conquering of,
"The fall of man."

Flint Heels and Gasoline Streets

Grab the dark side by the waist
plant a kiss on its dead black lips
sow the light into the darkest soil
toss the halo and the horn
into the fiery pond of mind
when truth makes love to lie
set goals-come up just shy
intoxicate on the defeat
tap dance -flint heeled
on gasoline streets
breathe in the smoke
of the death of hope
savor the dew drops
of brief victory
then collapse

Victory Over Death

Christ came down to this wretched world Cent percent God, cent percent man His limitless love was unfurled To cleanse us, make us His own clan He chose to die on the cursed cross Bore that ultimate agony For us, He counted all gain loss Gave His life on Calvary's tree O'er death, He rose victorious Conquered the grave, satan and sin Now seated in heav'n glorious He's alive and we live in Him. 03.19.2021

Unconditional Love

Gods Love is Unconditional Love
It Comes From Above
Walk in his ways,
Before You Leave each day
Stop and Pray..
May he guide You in Your Walk,
and give You Peace, Patients and Mercy
Show others You care.. Offer to share
Go out of Your way
Help each other everyday
Stop, Think and be a Friend
Do Gods Command
That's to Love one another
Sister and Brother walk Hand & Hand
Help each other out, with-out a Doubt
Love is a Choice, even with Your Voice,
If You Complain, You will remain the same,
So, Let's Rephrase our ways
Let's Begin to Praise
Remember Edify Each Other.. Everyday
Love is the Key.. For Victory over
Everything

Gods Chosen One

Born from sincere love, under onyx skies
Is the righteous One of soft golden hue
This child is the world’s redeemer, its prize
Rescuer of men, His light will shine through

To deliver souls from the Hell fire
Jesus, selfless Lord, is God’s Chosen One
Settling men’s debts is His only desire
In sermons before His work would be done

He brought forth the truth of God’s Holy Word
Telling people of the Kingdom to come
Giving up His life; the cost He incurred
First, bloodied by thorns, he then did succumb

Let us rejoice in His victory won
Divine redemption by God’s only son

Your Grace, Love, and Mercy

Author Dana Redricks
February 2, 2020

Lord you have been so good
to me showering me with
your grace, love, and Mercy.
You opened up my eyes so
I could see the things you
have in-store for me.
Thank you for giving me the
victory. Lord you are Holy,
and worthy of all the praise.
Lord you are so awesome
and amazing. There's none
like you. Great is your
faithfulness each morning
you show to me.
I would be lost without you.
I'm grateful for your grace,
love, and mercy. Lord you are
so Holy kind, and true. I don't
know without you what
I would do. Lord, I'm so grateful,
Lord I'm so grateful,
and I'm so grateful.
