A Life Not Lived

I am not remembered in any form or way
Undeserving of their love and respect.
I understand, and yet I grieve.
For myself.

For what I lost
Ignoring the ones who could have
Showered me with love
But did not
Because they knew me not.

I reserve my place in the cosmos
Of ignorance
Recognizing truth and love
once again upon the throne of death
as I enter a kingdom I do not deserve

The angels grabbed me and gave me
what I had sought on earth in the form
of lust, not even my biggest mistake.
My soul cries now
At a life not lived.

A Prayer

As lilies are arrayed,
So might an angel
Bestowed upon me
May delightfully be.
That her wings will
Be softer than silk
In my calloused and
Undeserving hands.
That her beauty may
Bloom as a field of
Sweetly scented flowers.
As a rose that wilts not,
So shall the gentleness
Of her loving embrace
Be forever felt upon
My beating chest.
As the fluffiness of
White hydrangeas,
Pedestaled, enthroned
In a palace of gold,
So shall my queen—
Elegant, wondrous—
Be loved.

All These Things and More!

Alive today, in this time, undeserving, yet, I am blessed…
By His divine mercy
By His eternal love
With a resolute faith
With a loving family
With special friends – a few
With hands yearning to heal
With a gift of verse -sometimes
With a gift of stitching - therapeutic
With a spirit for sharing
With a penchant for nature – no reptiles
With a special love for roses
With a beautiful smile that welcomes
With great fondness for the sea shore
With an incredible love for books and music
With a heart that loves unconditionally
With eyes that still see some good
For all these things-everything and
More!

L-O-V-E

Not truly audible, visible, olfactory or tactile; Icy; Undeserving; Complicated as usual; I have faith that he is protecting me; Wheat and stars; Until I die; No matter how close I get I still want to be closer; Nobody can help me but me; L.O.V.E.; Never to be possessed; A rite of passage; The will to live; Present in a fantasy; Cold as the endless winter of the tundra; Not lustful; A mental peace that endures forever;

Undeserving (For Trudy's Hopelessly Devoted Contest)

She is the most demanding cat who ever shared my home.
She stares at me so balefully till I do what she wants,
And yet I love her more than any other cat I’ve owned.

She tramples on my feelings as she tramples on my plants
Then stalks away with nothing more than a disdainful glance.

Some people say of pussies, that you can’t tell them apart …
I treat all mine as equals … but Pandora has my heart ...

No More

Married fortieth year, now alone in despair. Home after an argument, sees his wife on the floor, breathing no more. Drops flowers brought. He is an old fool, his first thought. Feels undeserving, with sorrow, fear, and guilt; a culmination without vindication."I'm sorry. I love you,” can be said no more. Calls 911, then he drops to the floor.

Unworthy

Unworthy of your wondrous Love
I survey your blood stained cross.
In awe, I am overwhelmed by the gift
Of your life to save mine.
I, unloving and undeserving of such a great cost.

That you who were perfect and sinless
Could humble yourself, and come down to Earth,
To save a sinful wretch like me,
I am amazed at my worth.

Why, O Lord, did you care for me,
Who am so unworthy of such care?
That you could hang on that old rugged cross,
And die for me, and for those who put you there.

Home Wrecker

Because you never had a dad who cared, a dad to dance with, a dad to wipe away your tears,
you think that my child is undeserving of that...

Because you had a mom who pawned you off to the highest bidder,
you think that my child is not better than that...

Because you had friends who used you "on the ends" then behind your back they say you are on crack,
you think that my child will not see through all of that...

You with your alluring looks have turned many men into crooks...
You have taken more lives than the gun, all in the name of fun.

Undeserving

On special days throughout the year
I feel most undeserving.
Of the love and favor sent my way
from the blessed God I'm serving.

[Birth]
At Christmas time I pause to think
Of Jesus' virgin birth.
he had no place to lay his head
while living on this earth.

[Death]
Then after some thirty years
at Calvary it was willed.
Upon a cross to hang and die
that prophecy be fulfilled.

[Resurrection]
They placed his body in a borrowed tomb
his final resting place to be.
But the grave could not hold him
He arose to set m en free.

[Hope]
The very fact that angels came
and rolled that stone away.
Gave mankind hope of eternal life
to reign with him someday.

Dreams Vs Reality

vast jungles of flesh
 giants of monotony
 these intellect crushing beasts
 disguised gardens of deceit
from a petri dish poisoned by mutant chemicals
what's left of the beauty transforms to become wings
sometimes I wonder if I should speak of these things
 who could be listening in?
breathing the thick air of lost opportunities
crying heavy tears of expired love
witnessing a higher form of intelligence
 undeserving of humanity
 and my frail sanity
 who could be listening in?
time to destroy the evidence and move on

When My World Collapsed

I stand in front of your grave
You were so bold and brave
Death unexpected so full of life

Undeserving fate
My timing to late
That last night I saw you we had a fight

Guilt ridden struck me these past 4 years
I still occasionally leak tears
It's still surreal to not have you here with me and my sister

If there is a heavan please look down on us we need you
Were not doing great
I'm angry and full of hate

From losing you the prettiest mother
My distant father
And my other baby sister

Lost forever burried six feet under
Free are suffering soul
Fill this expanding hole

To my lost family rest in peace I will forever love you

December 26

December 26

You Are Here!

Amid morning stars and waning moon,
Our Savior coos.
‘Neath scent of mhyrr and gold’s glittering,
You sleep, Your tiny arms now resting from their blessings.

Little One, now we are in the light of Your love,
Undeserving, only waiting, glowing,
With earth’s father and mother’s marveling,
Amid morning stars and waning moon,

You are here now born to Save.

Feelings

Feelings fail us frequently,
Even when we think we see,
Eventually draining our deepest passions,
Leading our souls to forget to ration,
Ill equip and constantly moving,
Never patient, they are always pursuing,
Going beyond what holds to be true,
Selling our hearts to an undeserving fool.

A Man's Desire

Give me your love, a man desires it all
Even though he is undeserving of
Your thought, it’s to your heart he makes his call
So, standing here I say – Give me your love

Or shall these words be lost, never heard of
His heart thus left into the pain and fall
Beneath the skies with only stars above

Your answer, then, can make him small or tall
His soul in your hands like a lost glove
As I say the words that give you my all
Give me your love!

Prayer

It's time for
you
to kneel down before
me in worship

There is
nothing I care
more
about than your
devotion, while
the sound of you breathing
nails my soul to my
body

The honor of being
in your arms
undeserving of your
reverence hypnotizes
me prompting
to beg for
the unthinkable

It's time for
you
to kneel down before
me in worship

A Loving God

I will enter the last day without fear Knowing my Lord will happily be there Ready and waiting with his arms opened For he is a loving and joyous God One that loves me unconditionally He offers salvation for just my love And his grace and kindness, given for free Knowing I'm undeserving of such gifts I'll work harder to earn my salvation On my journey to repenting my sins I'll willingly share the Lords love and joy With any and all who want to listen For you'll never be misled by God's word And when you accept the Lords warm embrace An endless bond you'll forever cherish Along the path to bask in Gods glory 6/25/2017

The same can be said of my heart,
and the people undeserving of my love.

Out of Reach

You went away and joy went with you
Sound became a screaming in my head
And my eyes drowning in sorrow;
Saw only the emptiness of life without happiness;
     Brroken love often spreads;
     And written emotions often seem;
     Previously penned;
But empty hearts, they live in infamy.

You’re back;
But I find nothing of then.
I can’t reach you; but I stay close;
And unguarded I can only cry.
           Maybe it’s me;
           Perhaps I am undeserving;
           Completeness beyond my reach;
           Maybe I owe.

ATONEMENT

I APPRECIATE THE LOVE YOU GIVE
ALTHOUGH I AM OFTEN UNDESERVING
YOU STAND BY MY SIDE AT WILL
MY LOVE, I AM RESERVING

KNOW THAT I HAVE CONTRITION
ALTHOUGH IT MAY APPEAR LAME
YOUR LOVE IS OVERLY SUFFICIENT
WHICH IS WHY I CARRY YOUR NAME

IN SPITE OF MY POOR ATTITUDE
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN YOU KNOW
BUT I HAVE ISSUES TO WORK OUT
WHICH CAN ALTER MY LOVE FLOW

MY BEHAVIOR IS NOT YOUR FAULT
THOUGH YOU MAY OFTEN THINK SO
WHILE I WORK OUT MY PROBLEMS
MY LOVE FOR YOU STILL GROWS

SO BE PATIENT WITH ME, LOVE
TOGETHER OUR YEARS ARE LONG
IF I HAVE TREATED YOU UNKINDLY
FOR THIS I WILL ATONE

What Will Be Will Be

You didnt know
You couldnt see
how blind she could possibly be

You stopped and stared
and constantly glared
at the beauty of her smile

You opened up and loved her
for all that she was
trying to treat her the way that she deserved

But the smile was filled with pain, hurt and shame
she felt undeserving of your love
and would constantly blame
herself for not being all that you deserve

She wants to be apart of your life
but she cant help think
will that girl be your wife?

He Knew No Darkness

He knew no darkness for eternity before
No separation from the Father and the Spirit in unbreakable accord
But freely out of love for the children of the fall
Such an agony and horror through the holy wrath of God on the sin of man outpoured
In his sinless undeserving perfect manhood without murmuring he bore.

Now full of splendour eternally he reigns as Lord
In exultation with the Father and the Spirit incessantly adored
The mystery of grace shall ever be explored
The wisdom and the mercy and the boundless love of God in the spotless Lamb
	declared
shall be wondered at unceasing by the angels and by new creation evermore.

One Day I'Ll Reach His Eyes

Undeserving of his gaze.
Unending are his eyes,
He taught my heart to love again,
One day I'll reach him.
One day I'll be able to tell him,
To show him how I feel.
But today I'll just remain still.
Unable to be without him.
Unable to express the joy
His eyes give to me.
One day I might reach his love
And give it in return.
Because in his eyes
I'm finally beautiful.
