One World

Love is not a color,
No hue, neither a race.
All of our blood is the same,
That runs deep within our veins.

If we could lift up each other,
And know that we all care.
If we help our sisters and brothers,
There's a bond that we'll share.

Viagra Falls

There once was a man from Niagara
whose wiener's so long it would stab ya'

but when it got little
his pills became skittles
until he O.D.'d on Viagra

Autistic

A mazing child full of life
Unconditional relentless love
Touched by angels through the strife
Insightful blessings from above
Struggles with communication
Tries with joyful anticipation
Intelligence beyond the norm
Child of God within the storm

Imagine That

If there was no crime
No hurry for time
No genocide
No homicide
If there was no mothers burying their sons
If mankind didn't invent guns
If schools still had prayer
If everybody recognize Jesus Christ as our savior
If there was love and respect
No hate between white and black
No homeless
No loneliness
No wars
No rich or poor
No accidents or disasters
If man only served one master (God)
Imagining is good for all it's worth
Heaven is definitely not planet earth

Sometime Instead of Pink I Like Red

Sometime instead of pink, I like Red
Sometime instead of playing with children,
I want to go on date

Sometime instead of Fishes, I like Swans
Sometime instead of T-shirt,
I want to wear Gowns

Sometime instead of Social problems,
I like to read Love story
Sometime instead of cute girl,
I want to look beautiful lady

Sometime instead of chocolate,
I like to receive Flowers
Sometime instead of meeting him for minutes,
I want to spend Hours

Punching Preachers

two bible-blabbering, prattling pastors

   from two denominational sectors

      ended up in stitches and bloody plasters;

those around said it actually began

when one yelled, "faith alone can save a man!",

      the other screamed, "only charitable acts can!";

swinging bulky bibles, shouting curses,

they whacked each other's eardrums and noses,

      bludgeoned and bloodied their righteous faces;

so ironic, how they maimed each other

for faith, for charity and didn't bother

to heed the Lord's words: "Love one another."

Lament of a Battered Woman

Bruises disappeared, cuts and scratches gone
The scars inside will never heal
The roses are beautiful, your promises empty
You'll never know the way I feel

Self esteem removed, dignity stripped
Emotions drained, each day the same
How pathetic can you be to think
Somehow, some way, I might be to blame.

A horror story not fully told
Nowhere to run, nowhere to go
A love so warm, now so cold
To be so high, then sink so low.

The battle rages on, each day the same
Our dreams and plans have turned to dust
Why is the pain greater, also the shame
When it's someone you love, someone you trust.

Questions

Who is more righteous,
The pious man who watches in awe,
Or the faithless man saving those in the blaze?

Who is stronger,
The man who lifts a ton with one arm,
Or the mother of four on her own?

Who has lost more,
The man who has lost his money,
Or the man who has lost his love?

Who is weaker,
The man who can't fight back,
Or the man who won't fight for him?

Who Is more savage,
The man who doesn't know right from wrong,
Or the man who doesn't care?

Who is wiser,
The man who has the answers,
Or the man who asks the questions?

Thank You Lord

Thank you Lord,
for another day of health.
More social distancing,
accompanied by vigorous stealth.

I'm thankful for you,
and your life that you gave.
Thank you for living in my heart,
and protecting me from life's deprave.

Please give me strength,
to carry on in these times.
I pray oh Lord,
please hear me in these lines.

I know I'm not worthy,
of your love that you give.
Thank you for another day,
and this life I now live.

Buried Secrets

where the seagull dies
stringless origami cries
loneliness of soul

koi fish suffocate
colors fade in Bonsai trees
island in distress

words not understood
shadows grin tricks on rice walls
tsunamis in eyes

geisha of the world
love is lost in illusions
freedom is her dream

men with cold fingers
whither blossom of her spring
harakiri end

in the seagull's grave
origami secrets kept
chicks learn how to fly

The Godfather

I’m a man, just simply a man;
once a child with no other distinction.
I am neither your first son, nor last.

I cannot alter what God has planned,
nor stop sun to shine,
nor stop the rain he’s cast.

So, I seek a solution to the paradigm
of angst and joy of life,
of the person I should be now.

Though life’s full of mystery and of misery,
you were there to give me hope and dignity,
no wonder I always love to be with you.

But, when God decided...
we couldn’t say, “No!”
You left me with his everlasting glory.

As time passes, I realize the greatness of
love and joy on the day of my friend’s son,
I became like you, a loving godfather.

Emilee

Leave the broken in the past, Renew the beauty with sun-light; Nothing's ever meant to last So won't you make this moment bright? Dwelling on who causes pain, And feeling guilty now and then Will only pro-long pouring rain, And damage who you are again. Whether it be self acceptance, Pessimistic points of view, Even social-tied reluctance Or seeing beauty through and through, See yourself for who you are, And love yourself for only that Before contentment strays too far And you can never bring it back.

Enigma's Calling

Extraordinary, I am
Craving for unusual thoughts
Endless exploration without boundary
Understanding the gift I shouldn't fought

Invisible drawings in my mind
Playing with the words in my head
My passion
The food of my soul

I feel so lucky
The random thoughts
A lifetime companion
A self esteem builder
A goal planner
Be my forever life saver

I write more
I talk less
I want to please
I chose to bore

What tickles me the most
Is to know what I'm for
Thinking is my love
When my mind goes empty
That's when I hate

My day dreaming lust
Organizing things in my mind
Playing roles of simulation
Where images of art is my vision
And words of attitude is my heart

No Cage For Me

I own my thoughts and feelings
I have a right to them
You can't control emotions
Or steal from whence they stem

If you should ever tell me
"Come on, don't feel that way!"
I'll simply have to answer
"You don't have any say"

You see, I own my feelings
I surely own my thoughts
I'm free to feel as I wish
My heart cannot be bought

Don't try to cage a lover
And make her soul your slave
For love not freely given
Is hopeless, then to save

Make America White Again

"Make America White Again"
Will never make any sense
Despite the tweets of "GENIUS" Trump
Or Republicans like Pence

Brown-skinned people filled this land
From one end to the other
And though they had their differences
"Eve" is everyone's mother

Though some are prone to cast a stone
Or ridicule their brother
What makes a nation great again
Is love for one another.

Tendencies

She'll be loved, a modest, pure and golden Love, but hers is lust . . A teenage dream of youth today Refraining from true trust; Explosive social tendencies to Decide her right from wrong, Human instincts not so human But a technologic song- It shall hum to her desire, In another whom she'll cross; Mechanic works inside her brain, Must force her soul a loss. Such a choice yet to be made, Though no pain inside shall pass. Due to social tendencies, Yes, due to social tendencies . . His heartache be her last

Broken Horses

We long for relationships
that know no borders,
in which hearts can roam free,
frolicking with each other,
and galloping at will
through fields and streams
in broad daylight,
and spontaneous affections
can nuzzle unrestrained.

Yet on our humble ranch,
it is the broken horses
that we so often ride.
Connections become curtailed
that once headed for the horizon,
by trial and error taught
to shield certain wounds
and mind necessary fences,
in many a peculiar pasture.

People Need People

Even islands get lonely

Like weaving palm leaves to make baskets
Like crocheting to make a pair of socks
       We need each other

The threads that connect us all
The webs that we leave behind
       As we meet each other
       As we befriend each other
As we spend bits of time with each other
As we are there for each other
Add us years, that hold us dear

Wake Up Call For Humanity

standing in line
at the local grocery store.

I stood there watching people
sighing impatiently and tapping their toes
while typing on their phones.

I was next, elderly lady ahead
was paying by check.

I saw her tremble
as her fragile fingers penned
away her social security check.

I reached over, held her hand.

said my dear friend,
"this checks on me."

an experience never observed
in "self checkout."

Words Whisperer

You’ve swallowed my misery,
My old self, just by a smile;
By letting me feel the mountains move,
You’ve freed me, just by a smile;
My twisted thoughts,
Have been untangled by you, with just a smile;
I offer my body and soul to you, O my words whisperer,
You’ve whispered me a new life, just by a smile;
I offer myself to you O, Jamlaila,
You’ve made me your man, just by a smile.

Unknown Providences

Lust so cold, love stays warm
Advice given is words forgotten.
Gifts that are free have a catch.
Hidden destiny, life so scorned.
Living high, lost in the dark.
Spirit lost, not ever free.
Falsified love, eternally angry

Grandpa Was a Carpenter

Grandpa was a carpenter
With his saw and hammer and plane,
He built houses and a church and furniture
So many knew his craftsman name, and then

And then he had to slow down,
No Social Security or pension had he,
But not one to ever give up,
He built flats for flowers from seed.

Lowly little pansies caught his love,
He planted his own flats ‘til faces would show,
With the peaches from his backyard trees;
This carpenter man sold all he would need.

His hands were rough, his eyes held a twinkle;
His hugs were so tight, my dress had a wrinkle;
I’ll always remember my Scotchman grandpa;
He gave me my dear mother, after all.
