The Rose

Once bloomed a rose so young and fair
With dark brown eyes and long black hair

Beside her be a tall dark tree
Whose branches stretch to smother thee

Too close beside the shadowy bark
That soon begins to leave its mark

She cries for help, but none shall hear
Her thorns too sharp, who’d dare go near?

To save this rose, who’d risk their life?
With naught to gain but pain and strife

Alone, afraid, she lays to rest
Her heart beats low inside her chest

And with the hour growing near
She sheds her final grieving tear

And so the rose soon falls asunder
Her final day, eternal slumber

She lies beside the old dark tree
The only one who mourns for thee

Beauty of You

Engaged in the beauty of you a lilac scent of splendor sent drowning my every thought in the ripples of your rush Float deep into my western sky grab hold of this fluid destiny and smother my spirit with your demure simplicity and innocence Laisse mes lèvres sur ton cœur

Ruled By Emotions

I will not be
ruled by my
emotions,
Thus I shan’t
love,
I can’t hate,
I won’t live,
I shall
obliterate,
Like spoken
word with no
debate,
You and I are
no duplicate,
My body shall
be a suitcase,
Organs packed
like folded
clothes,
Just like an
open shoe you
see the toes,
Thus no friends
and many are
foes,
No happiness
only woes,
Because that’s
the way the
robot goes,
Neither smile
nor tear must
flow,
Not a fright
when appears a
crow,
At full power
alone do my
eyes glow,
To get no love
and give none
back,
To obey, serve,
To torture my
humanity,
And smother my
substance,
For everyone
else? For
nothing?

A Stepmothers Love

Hug him,
Comfort him,
Nurture him,
Her guise a sweet yet cunning ruse.

Break him,
Twist him,
Ruin him,
She was my fathers own to choose.

Hold him,
Calm him,
Kiss him,
A joyless game to play.

Drown him,
Choke him,
Smother him,
I almost died that day.

Breath taking,
Promise making,
Seraphim,
Two minds two worlds apart,

Soul faking,
Heart raking,
Psychopath,
I saw this from the start..

Some Men

Some love too little, some love too long,
Some laugh and others cry;
Some do the act with show of tears,
And some without a sigh;
For some men kill the things they love,
Yet each man does deny.

Some kill love when in their youth,
And some when they grow old;
Some smother with the hand of greed,
Because of lust for gold;
The evil use their tongue because,
It takes love where it’s cold.

But men who kill the girl they love,
Have a story to be heard;
Some do it with a callous look,
Some with a bitter word;
The tyrant does it with his fist,
The weak man with a sword.

Hold Your Breath

If your breathing - better learn to hold your breath,
the waters deep and we're going for a swim,
the deep dark cold, it always creeps on back in,
to watch me, to smother me, why does it love me,

its love is suffocating, doesnt it see its a death trap,
the cave is dark and shallow and ready to fall in,
the deep dark cold, ready to trap me in its depth,
If your breathing - better learn to hold your breath

If it enters me, and you cut me, stab me in the heart,
ill bleed black, and my blood will just pour out,
the oceans deep, and we're going for a swim,
the world cant see that we're going in,
if your breathing baby - better learn to hold your breath...

Embrace

Given the chance to settle karmic scores, we cheerfully mother our soul brother, opening for all fully, our heart’s doors, that repressed feelings no longer smother pulse of love transmitted by our Father. This life’s so short, why then carry baggage? Let’s quell fires that in estranged hearts so rage, for in truth we all are God’s bliss essence and fleeting earth life is merely a stage, to reveal soul’s vibrant luminescence. 06-September-2022

Springtime Affections

My love, your breath, fresh as a spring breeze,
Caresses my face, with a wondrous tone,
As your sweet lips, approach mine, we moan.
For expectation, of such pleasurable tease,
For there is no time, for emotions to please,
Our brief moments, are barely, only a loan.
For passion delivers, future beautifully alone,
Our ecstasies of movements together, appease.

After spring, before the heat of summer time,
Our ardor grows; grows within each heart.
Our touch, Heavens blessing, to each other,
These moments, hours, days have no crime.
Together forever, our souls, never part,
Our spirits are free, to love; never smother.

Why Tie That Knot

Some like it hot,
                       some like it cold
                               While…
some p*** on each other, still some smother,
               under a blanket together...

                                 by

                 some strange, fatal plot,
                        they fall in love

Two Sides of Color

Who doesn't love a clear blue sky
But if you're blue, then you're sad
A blood red sun can bring a smile
But if you see red then you're mad

In the green means you have money
Green with envy wants that of another
Purple might mean that you are royalty
But a purple face means you smother

A yellow cab can take you on home
If you are yellow then you are scared
If you're in the pink then you feel great
Get pink eye and bad habits are bared

Some things seem shiny and bright
Consider that they might be duller
If you happen to see the flip side
It might be a horse of another color

Listen To Me- Never Mind What I Say

Get out of my space.
 Don't walk away.
 Listen to me.
 Never mind what I say.
 I need you close.
 Leave me alone.
 Get out of my life.
 Please come home.
 You can go now.
 I miss you so much.
 You smother me.
 I need your touch.
 Don't ever leave me.
 I've got to go.
 Yes, my dear,
 the answer is no.
 Get out of my space.
 Don't walk away.
 Listen to me.
 Never mind what I say.

Black Tie Affair

I say to you good fellow
if you do it do it well
trash all your morals and send them to hell
chase anothers woman
cherish her fantasies
make her feel like she's the only human
bath her in attention
perform so well and receive a honorable mention
don't daly or delay
for you have a message to relay
dress top notch at any chance
a suit with black tie for her romance
make her forget her man and come to you
smother her with kisses til she turns blue
once you have her heart
from her sight shall you never depart

Get Betta Soon

YOU’LL BE FEELING FIN-TASTIC IN NO TIME!

Let us not have fears
Or unnecessary tears
For the chastising of one another
Dear poets maybe best to not smother
Let's get us back on track
A handful out of 4,600 not bad a smack
How I wish you would hear
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year!

Hopeless Inside

The face as clear a memory as a glossy picture, The words sting my heart as snakes would, I remember, I remember, I remember. Each day I seek to understand why, The past trailing behind me, Trying to smother me with a pillow of darkness, There were two of us, but it only matters to me. Dedicating my thoughts to this being, Oblivious, simple, ignorant, Waiting to find his replacement; Another cold-blooded reptile in this swamp. Sipping sharp liquor from cheap glasses at night, Clutching the pages setting out the tale, I seek to forget.

Erato’s Liar

Oh Geez,
Not yet another,
Oh Please,
That song’s been sung ad infinitum ad adnaseum,
Love Poems smother,

ME! With cloying sickly sweet annoying
Toying with
My mind
Please muse,
Send me… You Send Me
A spirit of another kind.

Why

Amazing love begs perception,
wide the fields' uncertainty,
deep the valleys of depression,
Why me, Lord, why tragedy?

When difficulties we embrace,
is accident on purpose?
Seeds produced by misfortune's grace
lie just below the surface.

Roots of hope with blooms that rally
smother buds of pain and doubt.
These are lilies of the valley
turning breakdowns wrong side out.

Trust becomes our rose of Sharon
that is stayed by sacred sheath.
Watch the maze of weeds turn barren
as raring love springs thru the heath.

Tears

My tears fall down to my shoes
I'm completely wrapped in the blues

I miss my love for she has left
Does my sorrow begin at the clef

I carry the notes around with me
They are there for only I to see

'cause my heart aches from pain inside
every day I just want to cry

Maybe one day I'll meet another
But for now my troubles smother

Beauty Dances

With normality seasons flow,
Every moment new rays glow.
Nature stands as  our mother,
Green veil she ever does cover.

While rain comes, washes pain,
Spring comes to give new gain.
Chain of love gives leaves of tree,
In relax mood sure all feel free.

Suffer we do not in joy we sing
Beauty dances mind wears ring.
Bringing laws God ties up  love,
Obeying this in sky flies a dove.

Beauty dances, life is smother
To watch ever says our mother.
With normality seasons flow,
Every moment new rays glow.

Not Just Today, Valentines

I went to find you a gift
to show you how much I’m in love
But…
Had a hard time searching my phone wearing a glove
So I couldn’t find a dove,
or flowers I was in awe of.
I didn’t want chocolate everyone is trying to shove
or any other trinket that is unworthy of
the feelings I have for you.
So instead of finding something to buy
I’ll just stick with what I know I can do
I’ll simply stare at,
smile with,
dream of,
hug often,
kiss daily,
hold tight,
smother sometimes,
annoy frequently,
frustrate at times,
await your embrace,
and tell you I Love You with all my heart
each and every single day!

Haiku and Senryu of Winter and Love

waiting now, anxious
lest the cold white invasion
smother all our hopes

a man and a woman
sculptured in snow, the snow shines
they melt into one

snowfall strikes silence
wind sings hosanna on high
harmony in nature

the earth turns to mud
love plants itself, furrows deep
into the thawed world

even loneliness
must shed its heavy coat, now
sparrows are heralds

ice covers the earth
cold, resolute, beautiful
only the sun shines

so many snowfalls, so
many buddings in spring, so
long to claim one's life

Dabbling In Life's Treasures

My poetry is created in my dreams,
Dreaming of loves that should have been.
Dabbling in life's pleasures,
Expounding on nature's treasures.

Reliving the past by rearranging the ending,
Developing snapshots of happier results.
Stretching the truth to fit the mood,
While utterly reliving my youth.

Tranquil settings help to escape from chaos,
Calm the upsetting moments that linger.
Replace them with emotions that smother,
The bad times that engulf and clutter.

When I awaken from a dreamy sleep,
I am able to translate to paper.
The ramblings and emotions that played,
Their part while I was dabbling in life's pleasures.

Autumn

Lazy clouds, dark and oozy,
Smother alpine views,
Wet with the residue of
Convection, as autumn
Scrapes the senses.

I love the dancing light,
Landscapes brought to life,
Skies blow by and
Nature yawns, fertile,
Ripe and exhausted.

The womb is full, fetal
Folklore foments us
With bounty, beauty,
Bird songs sung by all,
On the glorious path…

Someone Kidnapped My Heart!

My soul has been stolen!
My innocenece has been torched!
My mind has been corrupted!
My deviousness has been ignited!
My wild side has been unleashed!
My imagination is being toyed with!
My heart has been torn from my chest!

Tragic victems of this so-called 'love'
Only to be knocked off your feet
Only to have your mind poisioned..

Opening yourself up to love only leads to tear and blood shed
Allowing someone to know the real you
They throw your kindness to the ground and smother it until it's killed

We all know deep inside that most love never lasts long and we're just setting ourselves up
for banishment and hurt..

So why do we take this undying chance and leap?
