Pardon From the Storm

Take my heart and carry me to where all dreams are born. Into loves arms, oh such a place that's always safe and warm. Away from such deceitful lairs where blackened virtues swarm. into a light where peace must shine and grants us pardon from a storm. High above the mountain tops or low as low can be. Makes no difference where we are a wondrous lyric calls to me. Singing of your splendor like a miracle performed. I'll stay with you to find the port that grants us pardon from a storm. Divine Song V

Idle my tongue remained, my Lord,

till the moment it learned how to pronounce Your name

But from

that moment onward, it never ceased singing your song

which has set my soul aflame!

Yearning for Spring

Spring is back.
For hark!
The Eastern Bluebirds have returned,
Flying in droves from tree to tree,
Singing to their hearts’ delight.
No wonder they symbolise
The joy and happiness
Of gardens with fragrance love.

Yet I also admire The Swainson Thrush,
Aspiring grandeur with its fluting song.
A sure sign that Spring is back,
A choir of music mixed with skylarks,
Achieving a harmonious symphony,
A feeling that adds to the joy of bells.

Sunflower Serenade

I’m singing honey-
rinsed sunflower serenades
twirling with corn rays…
and I’ll waltz through every fall…
to embrace his saffron warmth

Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad

Criminals
dance with slum lords
they shed fake tears
victims they shout
from Ivory towers

Mock and attack
they of dark cloth and deceit
possesses no real God
they whoreship only their prey
living by night not day

Some even screech praise untowards
sick is the mind who follows
dead morals and upended graves
they really are the bully's slaves
Yet their churches pew is full

Criminals all
singing love songs
sewing fear and anger
no wonder God got fed up
evicting them one and all

Mama Please Don'T Cry

MAMA PLEASE DON'T CRY

She smiled through the waves of pain
And held her mother's hand.
"Oh, Mama please don't cry," she said.
"And try to understand.
God wants me up in heaven now.
I hear him calling me.
There's lots of angels singing out.
It sounds so heavenly.

"Oh Mama please don't cry," she said.
"It's time for me to go.
You've given me your love and joy.
And Mom I love you so."
She wipes away her mama's tears
And looks into her eyes.
Then drifts into the Lord's sweet hands
As they say their goodbyes.

Now Mama hears her little girl;
"Oh, Mama please don't cry."
So brave and strong her little one:
The day they said goodbye.

My Song To You

Come to the meadow just you only,
Where autumn weaves her spell;
On hills and purple moorlands lonely,
Where the magic of her presence dwells.

Beneath blue sky and fields of heather,
With soft humming of honey bees.
And I'll hold you, just us two together,
To share the scent of autumns leaves.

We’ve time to share asters in the meadow,
With all that we love best;
With the swallows wings and your shadow,
And summer's grass that built the nest.

To hold and hear the soft wind singing,
To see your hair tossed and blown;
And meet the bluebird softly winging,
Through heaven and earth, we too fly alone.

Heartache's Milkshakes

On this merry-go-round

     Of breakups and breakdowns

Singing the blues

     In our ding-a-ling shoes

We take our heartache's milkshakes

     Spiked with itty-bitty pity

Before we tangle and wrangle

     In the rebound playground.

The Color Palette of the World Has Changed

The color palette of the world has changed.
Wispy painters brush clouds line a clear calm sky.
The day is dry and cold, powdery snow starts to fall.
Flowers have ceased budding and spilling over in the garden;
yet the passion, fragrant, rosebud cherry and amber
honeysuckle vine, twines round the wooden arbor,
inviting the few scarce bees to come to its nectar.
Forbearance wooden starlings and mourning doves
move on with their singing and coo-OO-oo throughout the day.
Warm breath onto the cold window, a traced note of love.

Sequins Of Savannah Sunset

I'm an estuary of ivy-furs, sleeping in monsoonal moonglades of love~ as the savannah sun of sunset blurs, slowly unveiling stars with golden glove. When russet- fairies twirl in a bronze lake, singing with springs of watermelon wand, an untouched summer unfurls behind ache, lacing twilights with lush wishes, so fond. Garden of grapefruit, doesn't forbid faith, exotic eyes paint life with a rare art, where hilly hues drape seashores ~ daisy-bathe, my muse weaves magic on the 'bay of heart'.

The color palette
has changed of the world .
painters wispy brush
clouds line clear calm sky.
Day is cold and dry,
Fine snow starts to fall.
Plants have ceased budding
bent, spilling over
yet passion, fragrant,
unadorned jasmine,
honeysuckle vine,
knit wooden arbor.
untiring starlings,
early mourning doves
move the day with their
inviting singing
and soft coo-OO-oo
throughout the chill day.
Ardent breath, note traced
of love, a heart shape
onto cold window.

- Summer Strength and Beauty -

The birds in the garden singing their songs

They tell their story with the heart of summer

A place of silence and aromatic flowers

Where hearts dance of happiness, passion and love

This sweet moment, with blue lilies growing in edge of the road

I can not find reality more beautiful anywhere else

It is a thought of escape from the world of realities

Where my heart is resting and nothing can disturb

Amazing Grace

The soul whom the Son sets free
is free indeed,
Unlocking the rusting shackles
of oppression,
Allowing life’s amazing grace
to shine with His embrace,
Transformation of soul’s darkness
to light’s brightness,
The uplifting revelation of God’s
truth of freedom,
His extraordinary and infinite power
shining love every hour,
Preservation and hope for life
His love abound, no strife
How sweet the sound—
Wrapped in His embrace
Singing Amazing Grace!

I Am a Poet

(reversible poem — can be read up or down)
I AM A POET Wild with intoxication Soaring high with the wind I become a song Singing sadness Singing happiness Dizzy from the nectar of life As I dance among the stars Of a somewhere beyond And hope to capture the twinkle Between sheets of white parchment Delirious, I bring you my treasure I AM A POET

Misted Moonlight

Into the twilight of night falling bewildered reflections
blowing within clouds form a grey question turning tides
passing winds whisper voices of one's soul form mirrored images

Whispering currents speak through the oceans wave bellow
faraway destiny cries with the seagulls echo through time
The caves unwrap lustre held between shells singing melodies

Footprints will remain always salted love verses hate struggles
each takes a step forward silently the bells chime midnight
under a chandelier of roses forever dances within misted moonlight

Soaking You In

Out back on that old tire swing drifting to and fro in the springtime dusk reliving childhood memories she swings and smiles free as the red breasted robin singing love songs as she soars from limb to limb in the that mighty oak tree her hair blows silently side to side dangling ever so softly off her olive basted silky smooth shoulders her caramel coloured eyes twinkle in the fading sunlight as the fireflies start to sparkle in the auburn sky I sit quietly drinking my freshly made ice cold lemonade soaking up all her splendor knowing I'll be holding her tight tonight

Que Seurat, Seurat

Like a Seurat painting
I view my life up close
and see a million tiny colored dots:
       eating breakfast
       driving to work
       writing a poem
       watching television
       playing a game
       singing a song
going to the park on a Sunday afternoon

You view these dots
from the proper distance,
blend them together
with kind, generous eyes
and you see art

(an ekphrasis poem after the pointillism painting "A Sunday Afternoon
on the Island of La Grande Jatte", by Georges Seurat, 1886)

When She Smiles

Now the birds are singing
And the sun is shining
And everything is going alright

But the clouds keep hanging
And it won’t stop raining
Because the clouds won’t stop crying until she smiles

Now my hands are shaking
If I look calm I’m faking
I’m as nervous as I’ll ever be tonight

My chest is aching
And my heart is quaking
Because it’s harder to breathe when she smiles

When Silence Speaks - POTD

Now you have gone away,
I have not much to say.
Remembering sitting on the bay,
even when the big clouds were gray.
I know you could not stay,
what I would give for one more day.
You went on your way,
no more running at play.
When silence speaks through a singing blue jay,
all I can do is now pray.

Little Song Bird

Little song bird in my tree
singing your sweet song for me
singing sweetly, singing clear
your song, it fills me with good cheer.

Little song bird sing your song
with all my heart I'll sing along.
A gift from God you grace the earth
there is no measure to your worth.

Little song bird, wild and free
when you leave, will you take me?
Together we could soar so high
across the endless, azure sky.

Little song bird, singing high above
your song, it fills my heart with love.
little song bird in my tree
with your song you set me free.

Lovely Things For Darren

Lovely little songbird
   looking in my window
   smiles in your eyes
   warm thoughts flowing
   with marmalade skies

Pretty little songbird
    singing subdued kisses
    come make me whole
    be my one and only
    peek into my soul

Time ticking on the wall
    starlit strummed melody
    daydream dancing again
    float alone in ecstasy
    along with my gifted pen

Night time serenade
lift me up with the starshine
    sprinkle tiny gifts of glee
    love spread so sweetly
    come drift away with me

Ataraxis

Tonight,
cicadas and crickets
are singing for us
the trees dance and sway
with their wind partner
a red sun listens behind her
sunset curtain
as your smile reflects
the last rays of twilight-
Your breath
brings the sweet summer breeze
to my neck
Your voice
like wind through
the grass
Your arms tangled with me
like winding roots
Your hand is a fortress
in mine-
And in this Eden,
the daisies and dandelions
blanket beneath you and I
A starless sheet
hangs over the world
but the fireflies around us
light our sky,
tonight.

The Song of My Heart

I heard someone singing your name My possessive soul travelled miles to find out who it is Tired, my body rested under a tree In the stillness of the air, I realised that the song is the beat of my heart.

Nature's News

The only news these days I need
Is sung by birds in high top trees
In the middle of the forest deep
That's the only news I need

Tells me all I need to know
Natures plans in rays of hope
All the news that's fit to run
Singing of seasons to come

The outside world can have its faults
No need for me to know them all
Only the good news that nature brings
That's the only news I need

Fireflies

if you and i
were both fireflies
singing to the choir
light up the night
put us in a jar
by the bedside
naturally we'd be
a bright night light
you and i
would dance in time
to the flickering beat
of our tail lights
the glow serene
a wonderful sight
if you and i
were both fireflies
