Finding the One

to find one's soulmate
one needs to listen to their heart

some set out for the big quest
the truth is your soulmate is nearby

your mate’s destiny is to find you
strange how serendipity works

while you keep busy being
the best person you can become

your soulmate will hover around you
like a bee to a flower

it will happen when you least expect it
when you're at peace within

you’ll recognize your soulmate
you just need to listen with your heart

I Disappear

wake up to serendipity
ignorant and unknown
shaken and not stirred
blond can be bond

Reality, metaphor and cliche
cheesy juvenile decay
Love, care and hate
past the use by date

of fights and torment
and well deserved lament
salute to the solitary reaper
with Metallica... I disappear

Serendipity

And there it was
in all its glory…

Magical
glowing
in endless motion
graciously
lazily
putting on a show
just for me
content with my admiration
drawing me in
enchanting
in sync with my soul
communicating
somehow
a message of
love and peace
of harmony
entranced
time magically
standing still

The Language of a Rose

I listened to leaves rustling the other day; talking in a dialect of tree
As I lived in a waking dream; that evening, their words became filled with clarity
They spoke of the woman; who had arms around me, a human singularity
Someone glowing bright; with life giving light, in the color shade of serenity
Whose touches; provide happiness, in reflection, back to her radiantly
As I learn the language of a rose, a season evolves; of remarkable serendipity
All I know, there's no way to measure; the time spent with you, in units of mere positivity

Starting a New Journey In Life

I am starting a new journey in life,
a journey of love and hatred,
a journey of mixed feelings,
  a sweet journey of life,
fused in the chains of caution,
fused in the chains of intuition.
On my high way I might see doves of white,
on my lone way,I may see, dreams of light.
It all bores down to a journey.

I am starting a new journey,
a new dimension,
of life in life,
of pain in caution,
for I need not a life of sorrows
I need not a life of tears.
In this journey I an treading on,
In this meticulous journey I walking.
There is no need for serendipity
no need for demeanor, for I HEAD
I am starting a new journey in life.

A Day In a Town

Evening. A harbinger, the breeze is redolent with petrichor. Soft rain begins. Across my bucolic demesne, I see My erstwhile dalliance’s town Ephemeral it was But such passion lives on That day A willow tree Where serendipity Turned propinquity to romance The epiphany of our love brought not Open doors, but a higher fence. Ancient love eons old Recalled from my wheelchair. Jade eyes Chocolate skin Casualty of hate. Granddaughter rolls me back inside Efflorescence crunches under the wheels Her eyes flit to the ebony Young man down the road Perhaps times change. Hope lives. 4/10/16

The Petal

The petal has floated into a new vast world
The wind of harmony uplifts the petal
The petal is drifting with serendipity
The petal is in love

Bliss is all I see, floating on winds that freed me
Dancing with others in a swooning flurry
How long will nirvana last without my tree
Time, please do not hurry

Pity the perennial
They are isolated from winds of passion
Never taking a chance, never will they see unknown beauty
Why are they watching us while we explore all of mother nature's creation

Fading, the sun relinquishes my mortal soul
Withering away, the earth is reaping me
Crumbling, winds spread my ashes into the sunset
I am ready, sweet death

Mayte, Autumn Child

Mayte, Autumn Child

She'd rather when the season changes
from humidity to serendipity
to make discoveries at a turn
when the autumn leaves
fall to the ground
creating a tapestry of colors
in an unbroken sequence
A chorus of red, green and browns
blending together in natures song
as in a round
to greet the new weathers chill
She is galvanized by the change
of gaiety and glee
but it's not just for her
it's also for me.

A Kiss Under the Mistletoe

As our lips touch, slight and gentle
Passing under the Mistletoe
On purpose or accidental
Staring upon the Mistletoe

All of a sudden we stare
Looking up at Mistletoe
Our lips caress with care.
Urged on by Mistletoe

Kiss which will amaze
Under hanging Mistletoe
In sixty second gaze
Mysterious Mistletoe

Forty year bond
Invited by Mistletoe
Another kiss spawned
Serendipity in Mistletoe

Sweet sixteen now
Caught under Mistletoe
Oh my word, wow
First kiss below Mistletoe

An Ode To the Soup -What I Like Most of Poetry Soup Contest

Fate...Serendipity...Chance
Is what led us to this site
Where camaraderie and wisdom
Unite us every night
Words are as pearls
Dripping from our pens
Eager to garner respect
And dazzle our new friends
We are ecstatic to be here
Doing the work we love
In this welcoming atmosphere
There is something here for everyone
I'm so happy that I'm here!

Serena

Serendipity, sun do smiles
European titles in mind
Royally, I was at Garros
England, Wimbledon, my crowns
Nigh, the glory from Aussies
Arthur Ashe, the home in honour

When honours came calling
In contrast to their aims
Love the game, win to claim
Like Masada, majestic in beauty
In its flowers engraved my name
Angel, egg, the game I play
My hands the world is laid
Serena, my name is the game

Unbreakable

Unbreakable

This honesty allures a heavenly melody
An orchestration of profound serendipity
Deeply engraved before time immemorial
A perpetuation of unique legacy
Untouched by the numbness of life
Innocent, unscripted by a writers’ own
Perfect enchantment of darling buds of life
An extenuation of a ray clustered demeanor
Poised by divine intellect
Immensely sculptured by noble footprints
Blended together, never to be broken
The power of umbilical cord
Perfectly knitted for a winsome pattern
A vivacious embroidery of caramel falls
An inevitable bond spattered trail
Yes, the eternal glow of a twinkling star
Some things are forever

The Delectable Treat of Serendipity

I tore a collared shirt hopping a gate
and lost a button shimmying across the peak of a roof
just so I could cuddle in privacy
oh, life, what heights to climb just to float down kindly
on clouds or surfing crowds
the things that bring together others and fill with pleasure
the very emptyness in the sense of experiencing such realities
alone, they say we die alone, but someone told me to fear not
deep thought, carried on with a walk uphill, to find a peaceful place
before the sun showed its face
oh, life, what great fall to take
when tripping on my very own heart strings
playing a soft melody, lulling me to focus my attention
on the things that matter, beyond simply just matter

Haimish2

So fishy to wish upon the forcery star-

a daze un-far,

to be so alarmed...

Falling car,

no weed-

but then we spar,

to the denial part,

to the serendipity,

to the dark.

Serendepity

A serendipity of grace
Still laves with love my fearing face;
Though I was blind, such moments free
My soul for sight of you and me.

Yes, I believe in healing tears
Of joy and hope that cleanse all fears
And when baptism can be done,
I see the wordless world as One.

Serenndipitous Reasons

Will you sway with me if I stay
Will you sing for me if I start listening
Will you smile to me if I jest for awhile
Will you love me if I show you why
It's not simple as 1,2,3
But I just want you to see clearly
That we are not meant to be
But our hearts chose you and me
To the idea of destiny I lack faith
That a force exist that conceals our fate
The path I chose to trod lead me their
And I walked a promenade that we had share
I can't believe we'd come this far
That we were remnants of crossing stars
I was not looking for you and your were not looking for me
It's just that we were victims of this blissful serendipity

Serendipity

From the beginning of time,
some souls are paired from their origin
Though two life's separately led,
like twins, a supernatural event
caused by destiny

The feeling of one another's pain, health,
goodness and accomplishments
A soulfulness of realness,
a confidence never to be broken

Divine grace has brought two mortals
together as angelic friends;
bestowing an awareness
of a heavenly being

as they watch over one another
without speaking -
yet knowing
of the others quandary

A kind, quiet
love of graciousness
and serenity

Lemon Scent

Sitting here, waiting for a clearing breeze ,
in my forest of endless trees,
and responsibilities.
It never came, the restless surge,
from deep within, the stormy siege
that blows the top off Carpe Diem.

A cup of tea and a magazine,
the traces of her lemon scent,
that rises aromatically.
I never thought to look for that,
Within my maze of discontent,
A kind of serendipity.

The little things, that’s what I meant
Like the traces of her lemon scent.

Admirable Country of My Dreams

Deep in slumber, walked through the cave
Evolution of mankind I could witness & shape
Admirable Hovel and shacks build with pride
Transparent Barter culture with love revived

No race for money, power or greed anymore
Humane soul united like a monolith stone
Honesty again becomes the best policy
Love and care are the more valuable bounty

Live in admirable country with hearts clean
Dream to be among good and all serene
Progressive for all, by no serendipity
Wake up one day to witness this as reality

Love Poem

She said
Last night I had an epiphany
I just know its serendipity
Perhaps written in antiquity
Our love in all probability
Will last till eternity
We have such magnetic affinity
After such ecstasy I cannot bear mediocrity

He said
Responding with alacrity
My dear, delectable Felicity
You’re a current of electricity
My heart beats faster in your vicinity
You’ve such charming eccentricity
An intangible mystery
My mind has lost its sensibility
In fact all rationality
I must take this opportunity
To propose in all sincerity
Will you marry me, Felicity?

She said
Overcome with empathy
I will dearest Timothy

He said
Without a hint of irony
There is no I in matrimony

Am I the One

Do you wonder if I'm the one
Who'd calm your raging sea
Who'd be the one
To discover a path
To your true love serendipity

Am I the one
The effervescence of your soul
Igniter of flames
Fueling your desires
A chemistry of which
No other could acquire

Am I the one
You passionately desire
Secretly as it may
Tucked conveniently away
Inside your mind
I truly admire

Or will I be
Your almost divinity
The one who got away
Another love missed opportunity

In that case I'd truly advise
With words you may admire
To find my kiss you know would inspire
Your love to finally transpire
