Carmen

Can a child ever forget, how deep a mother’s love abides

All those days since birth, till now I’m grown she guides

Remembering her smile, so tender, so warm as her embrace

More than soothes away my pain, my fear of failure and disgrace

Even in my dreams she comforts, her voice, her scent would stay

Never will her being mother stop, till when I’m old and gray.

Your Love I'Ll Ever Bear

I want to word my very Love for you
though as a shy child, I start to stammer
a beloved Mother, my sole bijou
as I am of your prime Land enamoured.

A rose breathing the scent of your terra
born and bred knowing no other home soil
how can I bear the burn of your Summer
anger and worry within my chest boil.

I want to paint my very pride in you
with drops of my blood and ivory star
then draw your nature and beauty anew
how would my poetry meet who you are?

To my dear mother, shall I, You compare?
TUNISIA, Your Love, I'll ever bear.

Nature of My Poetry

Let us embrace
like twilight kisses the sun goodnight.
Indulge in hues of scarlet, crimson and lilac,
until the salutation of stars .

In the nothingness of silence,
our souls will whisper sweet symphonies,
as we flow with sensual tones of night.

Tenderness of touch will compose a concerto,
along the nakedness of your innocence.

I will hold you like a violin,
feel smooth sensations of your strings.
Pulsate like a passionate pianist,
caressing silky ivory and satin ebony keys.

Upon the first scent of dawn,
I will watch your heart sigh,
as you lay breathless in my arms -
and become the nature of my poetry.

The Sea-Man's Return

Swept away
the last colour
of sunset,
Ocean in his eyes,
winds and waves
the sea-man loved.

Forever gone
the late-song
of night birds,
crushed corals,
sand and rocks
the sea-man loved.

Blown afar
the harvest seeds,
Flowers in his heart,
Petals in bloom,
Pale-pink blossoms
the sea-man loved.

Found and lost
the light of stars,
Alone He sailed
through narrow paths,
to mountain'shadows
the sea-man loved.

In hope to smell
the scent of her hair,
In hope to wipe
rain off her lips,
In hope to taste
her roasting- chestnuts,

to mend regrets
with just one kiss.

My Love She'D Lent

~ MY LOVE SHE'D LENT ~

I followed her where'er she went
Lured onward by her fragrant scent

She clasped his hand, a handsome gent
How could she know my love she'd lent

I died one thousand deaths inside
Choked back my tears with wounded pride

How long such anguish could I bear
My heart asunder to let tear

The hour had come to make my move
My love for her I had to prove

Unsteady I, and quite unsure
Just how to break the news to her --

My tongue was still despite I tried
'To ask her this: 'Please be my bride.'

My Love

My love is gone, but he has not gone far.
I see his golden locks in waves of wheat,
the blaze of his blue eyes in each bright star;
in dewy blooms of red, his lips so sweet;
his smile in morning sun I rise to greet.
Oh, whether it be day or night, I swear
I see my wondrous lover everywhere!

His scent is with me too, for I inhale
him as I walk through woods of tall pine trees.
I taste him in fresh rain, and I can tell
that he is near me when a summer breeze
caresses me; my mind can be at ease!
For though he’s gone, I know my love will be
In beauty evermore surrounding me.

Lemon Trees

I know the land where the lemon-trees flower.
My love met me near them, to linger an hour.
I kissed him, I hugged him and smelled the sweet scent,
And prayed it stayed with him, wherever he went.
The day was so perfect, the skies were so blue.
The fragrance entrancing and love was so new.
He broke off a blossom and gave it to me,
And promised his love for an eternity.
My friends were so happy to plan bridal showers
And my wedding bouquet was of lemon-tree flowers.

Place In My Heart

The scent of fresh baked cookies filling the air Sounds of Andrea Bocelli ringing in my ear There's a pep in my step and a feeling unfamiliar My heart pounding, craving one night, one taste one look, one touch Words dancing off your pages speaking to my soul entwined in romance etched in my heart tying me in knots My heart has been opened welcoming you in No longer vacant it longs for your warmth your kindness your presence your whole Mind blown. heart owned bringing fantasy into reality walking hand in hand to the beat of the band For tonight in the stars it has been written there is a place for you in my heart

Dreams Hued In Cherry Blossoms

She walks underneath the pink sunshade trees dressed in flowing antique white bridal gown. Un-dissuaded heart, to laugh, love, a peace drawn to fragments of leaves rustling around. The start of spring; radiant glow of pink. A fountain of cherry blossom petals trace down to the ground dressing the green. A wink of amorous scene of warmth of her grace. Enthralled by sensation of sweet scent tease, gold sunshine rays' columns stand and solemn. Poetic strokes of emotions to please, a life draped in dreams hued in cherry blossoms. A blank canvas rich in true color spun in glaze memories not to be undone.

One Brief Moment

In one brief moment
you saw me as I am
without a word spoken
palm open for my hand.

Nary a harp string plucked
silence graced the air
silhouettes became one
my heart I laid bare.

Candle wicks were unlit
full moon a distant past
my emerald eyes glowed
your love echoing back.

Fire our skin to skin heat
scent unique unto us
not a flower in bloom
our souls we gave in trust.

In one brief moment
you saw me as I am
the memory of each breath
my bliss I'll always have.

My Song To You

Come to the meadow just you only,
Where autumn weaves her spell;
On hills and purple moorlands lonely,
Where the magic of her presence dwells.

Beneath blue sky and fields of heather,
With soft humming of honey bees.
And I'll hold you, just us two together,
To share the scent of autumns leaves.

We’ve time to share asters in the meadow,
With all that we love best;
With the swallows wings and your shadow,
And summer's grass that built the nest.

To hold and hear the soft wind singing,
To see your hair tossed and blown;
And meet the bluebird softly winging,
Through heaven and earth, we too fly alone.

John's Aramis

Intoxicating was his scent Many hard-earned dollars were spent To evoke his bliss Give him Aramis Young and poor, we were newleyweds Memories linger in my head This scent was so strong But to him it belonged And through time I travel today When e’er Aramis wafts my way Sad tears gently rise John’s scent fills my eyes Another dimension I seek Longing to hear my husband speak We'll meet again one day Faith brings hope my way

It's Quiet Now

It is quiet now
-the sun moves up the ridge

Honey crisp scent of freedom
 -hovers and engulfs the air

Pangs of pleasure peal
 -the primrose bows her head

Yellow paints the morning
 -the fields are all aglow

Beyond the Stars

Dulcet scent of jasmine wafting through the air
As moonbeams daub the swaying trees with silver hue
Luna's glow prescribes romance, the twinkling stars
make love a happenstance, as the wind whispers passion,
perchance ecstasy will ensue.

I see her silhouette in shapely form moving
with the rhythm of the trees, my heart flutters
as she gets nearer, then she falls into my embrace
and our lips meet, and our passion blazes.
Was it folly to believe that our love would last forever
or would it sink into the dank realm of heartbreak
But that thought perished into the fire of our passion
as we blissfully drifted beyond the twinkle of the stars

For Only a Moment

Did it have to last for only a moment,
our love withered before the flowers you sent,
white carnations, a pure love they meant,
a relationship so newfound and innocent.

Our love withered before the flowers you sent,
your early departure I could not prevent,
a relationship so newfound and innocent,
a memory lingers on like a sweet scent.

Your early departure I could not prevent,
white carnations, a pure love they meant,
a memory lingers on like a sweet scent,
did it have to last for only a moment.

Beauty In My Palm

You are the wild flower in my palm
With no stem to keep you anchored to this covetous earth
You are the fragile thing I dare not cup,
As your petals whittle away under the wind
And flit unfettered in the air;
Exaggerated fear leaves my fingers numb
Hungry need leaves my fingers twitching
And my hand is paralyzed by turmoil
As every breath of wind takes another petal from me
And brings to my lungs, my chest and my heart
An overwhelming scent of need-

You are the wild beauty in my palm
And I dare not hold you to my chest
For I fear to crush you
To know first hand
That caged beauty, is beauty no more.

I Dreamed a Butterfly

I dreamed a butterfly in golden days when buttercups lay in the fields ablaze. It fluttered to my cheek, sweet love to bring. My heart was wont to burst and wont to sing. In breath of morn was scent of bluebell sprays. On blossomed blankets of the fields we’d laze, and into one another’s eyes we’d gaze, my love and I, as April had her fling. I dreamed a butterfly. Our bliss was as the spring, a fleeting phase, and brief’s the beauty of young lovers’ craze. As cruelly as a wasp, he left a sting - and all the lovely plans we made took wing, leaving mere memories of golden days. I dreamed a butterfly. 2/21/13

A Song of Seasons

I sing a song of springtime.
The earth is green and fair.
Life comes again with scent of rain,
and love is in the air.

I sing a song of summer.
The sun is climbing high.
We laugh and run and have such fun.
How blue becomes the sky!

I sing a song of autumn.
Trees wear their brightest gown.
It’s trick or treat, then bittersweet
as leaves are falling down.

I sing a song of winter.
I sing it soft and low.
The days grow dark and short, but hark!
We bask in Yuletide’s glow!

Sundown In Paradise

My blessing basket is heavy with heaven's gifts,
Tomatoes the size of my fist, eggplants so cute,
And fresh heirloom beans bursting with pride.

The sun, orange on the horizon, frames a pair of
Snowy Egrets above, wings folded in glide descent,
Angling towards their roost.

A solitary Cricket, at home in the cabbage patch,
seesaws a hypnotic greeting, then hushes
As I pass.

A Monarch Butterfly wisps past my head, enjoying
Nectar from scattered flowers. The scent of herbs,
Blossoms and love settles softly in my heart.

I know life can be hard, but this moment, just
This moment, I'm filled with such Grace from
God I only stand in humble gratitude.

Angel's In the Wind

It howled down the canyon
Like a wolf on a ridge
No longer invisible
As it rocked the bridge

It came with a chill
It came with a bite
I remember it hit me
Just before night

I stopped to listen
For I could hear
A voice from my past
One that I hold dear

It carried a scent
I’ll never forget
Along with a memory
That I’ll never regret

As it blew through me
Sweetheart I knew
The wind carries angels
Ones just like you

Still Love You More Than As Before

Thousand years! Thousand years it is
Long living like the undying breeze
Deep down my self, deep down my ease
In the thick bark of my heart a love does exist
Thousand years ago
There exist for my mood, a flower that glows
Regulating my heartbeat and blood flow
Raising my guts up and down, in rows
Making my emotions like trumpets blow
Thousand years! Oh so long many years
And I can still feel the pricks of her lovely spear
And the scent of her placating presence, like roses very rare
Oh thousand years, and the love still exist, yes!
I still love you, till forever nonetheless

To Never Cry

The mist from love found drifting in its realm.
Lifts only when the sun begins to rise,
And clears away the mist, to overwhelm,
In elegant colors it will revive.
To still the heart, to dwell in paradise,
And bathe in splayed soft light two lover's form,
With lover's wings so gentle they entice,
To merge with kisses soft, tender and warm.
Love's a heart that welcomes with consent.
Between the flowers fresh with morning dew,
And purifies the garden with sweetest scent.
They welcome sun's cascading light that's new.

How true the love that's born beneath the sky.
To love the purest heart and never cry.
