Lighthouse On the Shore

There is a lady all dressed in light, who stands above the jagged shore at night. To guide the sailing ships to safer seas and beg the wicked storms for calmer breeze. She ever shines her light across the bay, in hopeful search for love that sailed away. He left the land with plans to bring back gold, to ask her hand to wed, the story's told. When his ship met with tempest gales, the waves ripped the hull, wind stripped the sails. The lady waits at night for him on shore, as he still lays with gold on ocean floor. Sometimes you see her lonely light afar, it shines in the sky like a distant star. 12/16/18

Supreme Being

When you came to me the earth revolved then stood still
dressed jewel of purest sunlight circled in gold mere reflections

Through the oceans wings sailing inside waves embrace
we rise and fall drawing from a breathless air filled with Peace

Caught up within the sparkle lustre that sings from an echo returning
twinkling stars light warmly together ally an alliance between souls

Captured brightly the spirit of eternal beauty brings, under glowing beams
when we act together as one temple forever crowns the heart to Love

Love Is

Love Is Two hearts beating as one synchronized with the setting sun Two minds in a spinning spun kindled kisses on the run Euphoric ecstasy upon sailing the sapphire sea A botanical bliss spree Loves fragrance for you and me. - a Love So Great -

May the sun always shine in your heart - melt away winter's ice
Always look for beautiful colors - even if you never find the rainbow

Nobody wants to experience the towering and storm high waves
Adversity makes us strong - like sailing on the sea in storm

Open up your heart - take a deep breath
Dreams you will find among the stars - where peace prevails

Let your thoughts dance between the clouds - without a worry in mind
Bring your paint brush - paint the world in stunning colors

Our world is so endlessly large
A human so little, a love so great

Delight Is the Night

The moon is a curving flower of gold. Blue silk is the river below which gathers sweet Luna’s petal-face glow And mirrors it in a soft fold. Delight is the night as we - passion-souled - sail forth on the ribbon’s smooth flow! 2015 poem For Julia Ward's Sailing Contest

Will You Let Me In

Whispers at dawn I awaken near your yawn Will you let me into your heart? Dreams of passion I need your compassion This will be our sensuous start Falling in love all we need is a shove Will you let me into your arms? Breakfast for two your love I will chew I’m drowning in your lucky charms Side by side our love will preside Will you let me into your essence? Through forever always together Within warming skies of iridescence In circles of infinity we are divinity Will you let me into your soul? Through timeless space I will embrace Our love sailing in a black hole. Aug.16.2017 Let Me Into Your Heart Sponsored by: Julie Rodeheaver

I Love To Dream With You

I love to dream with you
Be with you…
Feel your warmth,
When we’re together

I want to hug you tight
With all my might
Feel our hearts…
Beating forever

Every day is your birthday
Every moment a chance to celebrate
I take a picture with you
Colorful rainbows on a carpet of blue

We’ll ride the clouds and soar Earth’s sky
Play on the moon
Watch comets rushing by…
Sailing the stars…
We’ll pass Jupiter and Mars
Then back to bed…
To wake up in your arms

I love to dream with you
Be with you…
Feel your warmth,
When we’re together

I want to hug you tight
With all my might
Feel our hearts…
Beating forever

Silver Whispers

One night I saw a shooting star
flashing golden memories
wishing for someone beautiful
just like you babe

Dazzling dreams each night
silver trailing thoughts faraway
looking at the moon face
over and back howling echoes
a soulful plea cries

On this cold winters night
your love is the warmth one needs
deep inside that breathes out
free wild as the breeze blowing
Winds in a thousand whistles speak

Utopia's everything whispers your beauty
one in a million star silently blinks
I have fallen under spells
casting on magic fell in your dust
sailing without wings loving you

Bridge Over Troubled Water

If my memory serves me well
you were once a friend of mine
need I remind you, pray do tell
a friend who overstepped the line
friend became lover became husband so fine

I'm longing now to feel your arms
Sailing amid memories divine
Right when I thought, I was over your charms
behind my eyes, beneath my skin, you twine

Like an almost forgotten memory
a song, your words combine
bridge across time, consoling me
over and over, our dreams align
troubled tho our paths maybe
water flows through sands of time, for me

I feel your love
Will you always feel mine?
ease the parting, herein-above
your gift, our love, define
mind and soul are thine.

Valentine Queen

Sweetly sailing through deep seas
building a castle from out of the sands
mirror reflections fluttering diamonds speak

From one little spark igniting light
becoming a fiery particle
burning from the glint within

Through the passage of time
flashing visions of a dream
when a moon kissed the sun crowns

Summer Dreams

Golden goddess up above,
shine down on me rays of love.
Summer dreams, they come to me,
bright white sands on the beach.
Rays of sun that warm my skin,
waves of blue come crashing in.
Sailboats sailing in,
summer breezes, summer wind.
Sandcastles along the shore,
summer rains, they always pour.
Summer dreams they come to me,
children playing on the beach.
Rays of sun that warm the sand,
couples walking, holding hands.
Baby blue summer sky,
summer dreams of you and I.

Ci

Sailing feathered clouds across the blue sky
Haloed sundogs clinging to white mares’ tails
Storied concentric glories way up high
I’ll leave a soft rainbow colored contrail

Sailing feathered clouds across the blue sky
Flying towards the sun’s healing golden crown
Come and sing when you see me sailing by
Let go the darkness and let light resound

Sailing feathered clouds across the blue sky
Shards of memories and rose colored ice
My love my love my love let go the sigh
Please remember me to the by and by

The Deadest Hope In the World

The Deadest Hope In The World

The deadest hope in the world to hold
To be truly youthful when one is old
To race about with eager quickened pace
Innocent smile upon a softened face,
Willing hands to love yet again,
The envy of many fellow jealous men
A finer vessel sleek, pure and true
Lady of charm dancing along with you!

Adorned with steadfast heroic words,
Flying free of earth like the birds,
Wandering into majesty of the clouds
Far away from teeming earthbound crowds
A God sailing alone in the night sky,
Enjoying a blessing, not asking why!

Boomerang Heart

Bent love never dies it just keeps bending.
Until it morphs into a burning boomerang.
That smacks you in the chambers of your half-mast heart.

I breathe inside a three-bedroom chasm.
Somewhere between happy and what ifs.
Saying hello to a twenty-six-year-old echo.
Of close calls and head on crash regrets.

You deserve a good life.... I don't.

You've taught me, after decades of decline, what unconditional really is.
It's that satin island that I've been sailing toward upon this broken ship.
Even though I screwed you into the rotting wood of my id.

I'm truly happy that you landed softly in a heart.
That gave you that elusive elixir called.
"What I couldn't give."

Sailing For Love

My love can part the oceans, But it hasn’t reached your shores… Sailing in the breeze with emotions, As my heart rudders and explores. Within the mist of heartaches, The thunder passes through… Shattering sorrows of earthquakes, Exposing the love I have for you. The deep sea swallows my soul, I’m drowning in ambient aquatic… Resurfacing amidst the Devil's Hole, A delusional drift by evil’s erotic. Sails are down the anchor thrown, A lighthouse dims of love unknown. Circles

White hot stars twinkling bright, in a black ink sky spreading night while pink clouds in heavenly space spread love from those who are circling above. Waves of green glowing, mysterious and beautiful through the night in circles of delight with blue moon circling round as we gaze upward at the profound. Fading in and fading out, the warmth of the sun’s fire encircles and feeds our desire. Floating, sailing, shooting, through space We live eternally together in a circular place. Cruise Wish

Elated by the thought that soon my love would come,
I sat on a bench admiring the cruise liners sailing by
Wondering when we could one day go on such a trip.
Then she arrived, and poor as we were, we uttered a sigh.

Within Loves Boat

Flying in
the Heaven's
birds softly whistling
sweet magical music
enchanting among'st
the angels

Smiling pouring out
from the petals
rising rose emotions
Straight in front
of me those eyes
golden sparkled
rising a sunshine
golden treasure

Listen to
the heartbeats
kissing you love
glowing warm beautiful
in the soul
sparkling diamonds
within a divine light

A flawless beauty
fills up inside sparkling
with Heavenly love
in your soul
finds the gentleness
of your peace
sailing on
deep ocean
blue waves

Ghost Ship

Sailing on endless seas
Lost to broken promises

Floating coast to coast
Captured by east and west

Rusting to shattered anchor
Rescued by time to hoister

Two hearts floating forever
In life, each other's lover

An elaborate tombstone
Of coral reef and limestone

When love was romantic
And being in love - fantastic

When a first kiss was poetic
We haunted the Atlantic

On our waves goodbye
Swem and learned to fly

A honeymoon married to the sea
On the skeleton coast's memory

Castles

She built a castle in the sand
Formed it in detail, it was grand
But when the waves rushed to the shore
Her castle crumbled, stood no more

So she built a castle on the rocks
That overlooked the seagull flocks
But the earthquake came, her castle fell
Carried out to sea in briny swells

Then she built a castle in the sky
Formed from clouds that went sailing by
But when the rain fell on the land
Her castle came tumbling to the sand

Her final castle she did revere
Built with all her heart and soul
She formed the columns from her tears
As each emotion played a role
And on each column she carved a dove
She built a castle made of love
                             ~~

Juggernaut

Veracious voices that come out to play,
Wandering words tell the tale…
Mending hearts in the mist.

Where secluded sacrifices submerge,
Whispers warming in their waves…
Sailing scriptural shores.

A man stands alone in the baneful breeze,
Watching the world decaying;
The juggling juggernaut.

This verse is inspired by & dedicated to, our brother poet Tommy (Son of Spock)...who is on hopefully, a short sabbatical...Live long and prosper SOS...lets show some love...

Jonah: Reluctant Prophet

To preach to Ninevah was not his wish -
So sailing west, the prophet disobeyed.
When God appointed wind and storm and fish
To punish, teach, and save him, Jonah prayed:
"I called out to the Lord in my distress,
I cried for help from deep within my grave.
With songs of great thanksgiving will I bless
Your name. You answered me - I know you save.”
Then preaching holy wrath, he watched the city
From low to high repent and seek the Lord.
God showered all with mercy, love, and pity
Then Jonah's faith he patiently restored.
Three days; salvation; grace; all intertwine
As Christ's prophetic resurrection sign.

Summer Sentinels

Sunflowers,
cheddar-cheese petals
surrounding seedy-brown-mustard centers,
stand guard over hot summer pavement
like mighty oaks.
Laughing children
run in and out the yellow forest,
slaying dragons,
rescuing damsels in distress,
then pretending to be astronauts
sailing across space
to a planet inhabited
by tall, green stalk-like aliens
with golden helmets.
Did van Gogh imagine such things
as he painted so many saffron blooms?
Did their sunny dispositions
have any effect on him?
Did he really love those festive flowers?
Look for answers in the pensive starry night.
