I Got a Love

I got a love that's never gonna die
Your love has breathed new life into me,
has filled my heart that was once empty
I got a love that's alive and spry
A fragrant violet voice has revived the old bones,
turning back the clock is a good thing
Gave me a pep in my step, a soul zing
Your love rekindled the flame that was long gone

How could you know that you would affect me so,
make me to rise up from my slumbering deep
Go walking to the garden of orchid waking dreams
A shower of kindness make the seeds of your love grow,
blossoms of smiles move my undressed heart to weep
My love for you will never die, for it has been redeemed

A Venetian Honeymoon

A gondola floats o’er romantic tides
as you and I caress Venetian skies
laced deftly in exalted stars applied
by brushes dipped in hues of lover’s eyes.

A kiss beneath Rialto Bridge in spring
feels like our first so many years ago.
On every breeze, O Sole Mio sings
a serenade in city lights aglow.

This hope of love rekindled miles from home,
could be our chance to dream and reminisce.
Enlightened by a full moon’s wink, we’d roam
down Grand Canal in gleaming nights of bliss.

Our renaissance, a second honeymoon -
to Venice, we could not escape too soon.

Strong Point

Evasion, the dagger's sharpened strong point
Slowly has pricked love's joy until now gone
Tedious the effort to time appoint
Verbiage to one who speaks from heart of stone

Fluffy moisture laden clouds float across
the blue sky, gentle breeze stirs heart's desire
Thus love's awakening to you like dross
Intimacy through deep channels expire

Can love's embers be rekindled to flaming
hot Tabasco Sauce, open up cold heart
Let in spring's whispers of love not blaming
Uncork the closed mind to thoughts uncharted

Let not evasion of thoughts and needs trap
Reach forth and receive all from love's tap

Where Do I Begin? Again

eyes wide open
but sightless in thought
held captive by gravity
but weightless in pursuit
of a love lost
so suddenly rekindled
this flickering flame
where do i begin? again

does she still feel the same?
it's more intense
than when the first time
i came
eyes wide open
but sightless in ecstasy
deep water
i'm drowning
my lungs fill
my eyes roll back
in my head
dead to the world
resurrection in her bed
is this where it
ended last?
how do i avoid
the recurring past?
where do i begin? again

Complete

See through my eyes
and the beauty they behold,
see love rekindled
from the flames of old.

Hear through my ears
the promises made new,
about a love that started small
but with time it grew.

Feel through my hands
the warmth of her embrace,
the tingle in my fingers
when I gently touch her face.

Taste through my lips
the sweetness of her kiss,
fueled with passion and burning with love
tell me... what can be better than this?

Fact and Tale

Between the lines, of fact, and tale,
a persons life, we know not well.
Some insight we have, but not all the truth,
between the lines, read by me, and you.
A release of sort, in our words of rhyme,
our therapy to calm, when we feel like crying.
Days will come, and then they pass,
bringing sunshine, and shadows that last.
Thoughts rekindled from yesterdays mind,
reading the words written from a poet in time.
Miles between, separate our face,
but words of wisdom we daily trace.
Explore the words from everyone here,
although very far, they are always so near.

Rekindled Flame

Regrets
                                               True love usurped
                                           Snuffed out like a candle
                                   Deathbed meeting, rekindled flame
                                 Unrested spirits’ midnight rendezvous
Searching for love once thrown away
                                         Foolish mistakes and pride
                                              Lives spent apart
                                                      Regrets

A Steady Drum Rhythm

The city in the summer nights,
Beats a steady drum rhythm. Slow

Living does RHYME with time.
Strange be a drastic decision
Proceeding without permission.
Bad luck? Nothing but superstition.

Lying leads to reprimanding in. The
Lime light to pretending.

Love letters lead to a romance rekindled
And some slow dance of remembrance
As a symphony orchestra played late
Into the AFTER THOUGHTS of midnight' s
Afternoon.

Worthy of a perfect dream to much to
Conceive, which gives birth to unbelief
And the RETURN TO REALITY.

The city in the summer nights.
Beats a steady drum rhythm. Slow.

Rekindled Passions

How dreams of our youth now tiptoe
Alluring endearment memories impart
Enthralled in ardent past still aglow
How dreams of our youth now tiptoe
Rekindling passions thwarted long ago
Enamored in rhythms of your heart
How dreams of our youth now tiptoe
Alluring endearment memories impart

Unintended

Unintended

So often the simplest expression
     provokes the deepest thought.
Sometimes without intention
love claims a place in our heart.

And as the rising of the tide,
washes the sea upon the sand,
wiped away are tears cried
by the touch of a gentle hand.

The most innocent of words
     will stoke flames of desire.
Sometimes a desolate heart
     is rekindled with raging fire.

Unintended, though his motives may be,
He passionately touches every part of me.

Forever and Eternity

Plan to be together forever and eternity
When one passes the other will wait
Meet again in Heaven, never to part
Life fullfilled from vows ages past
A remembering is felt of love and a time in this life we were together briefly in youth
Our first kiss was shared and love started and never died out
Rekindled, we both love and lost and children born
He waits for me across the miles for the first adult kiss
A relationship built over the phone celebrates two years of face to face days in nights out of love forever and eternity.

The Day After Night

It seems to me my life,
since a time not very long ago,
has somehow been restored.
That again my world is bathed in light
though I had seen the sun disown me
beyond some distant, dark horizon.
And it seems that blood's warmth has been rekindled
where frost's hard grip was slowly tightening,
that belief has resumed its unpretentious way
where doubt's destructive forces once had raged,
that spring is flaunting blossoms sweet and new
where wintertime's expected gloom impended.
And, where had idled uncharted regions of my soul,
there is you.

The Piper At the Gates of Dawn

The Piper at the gates of dawn held dear Rat in thrall,
Distant notes touching his inner being, his soul;
Beckoning him to come, come to me and pay your
Dues at my feet. So your messages sing to me
Their song of hope; each word invitation to dreams
Of rekindled love, meanings the children of desperation
To be in your presence once more, supplicant to love,
Imagination building castles of candyfloss truth.
The Piper washed clean Rat’s memories, that awe
Did not dull his vision and pleasure of the world;
Nor loss bring despair and yearning.
But I have no Piper to give me a kinder fate,
Nor soothe my fears that all is fantasy; only
The memory of your past farewell.

Her

not a night goes by
without her smile
her laughter, her dancing eyes
drifting languidly
through the sea of my mind
riding the waves of my psyche
en route to the isle of my heart
a paradise lost
a fire rekindled from her spark
blue crush
hot lust
volcanic ecstasy
creating new spaces
to love

Carol

Carol........I've pined for you my whole life.....

You've been the object of my affection and my desires the entire time in high school......

Having you back in my life after almost 16yrs of not knowing where you are or how you're
doing, it's rekindled all these old feelings....

I want to kiss you, hold you, pick you up in my arms and carry you.....

Carol, after 16yrs of not thinking about you, you're all I can think about again.....

Carol, I've told you how I feel about you......

I'm just not sure if I want to find out how you feel about me......

The Embers of Yearning

I feel rekindled of yearning the embers.
So lovely you appear to me
I believe I yearn for her.
of love I feel my heart burn
as the flames of Hecate's torch
which me from within do scorch
as a land set ablaze
with nothing left after the graze
except a heaven that remains
in the aftermath of the dancing flames,
a paradise which I call passion.

Timeless

In the dawn of our love you searched my eyes
And found my trembling soul in ashen fire
You washed over me like a warm sunrise
Rekindled my heart with your desire
In the noon of our days, you held me tight
Shared your yesterdays in the softest tone
You sought the answers to what was right
And found your lonely heart was not alone
In the evening of our love came passion
Found our desire and needs one and the same
Danced with life in a lover's sweet fashion
Then surrendered our souls without shame
We crossed life's clouds like sparrows in a storm
And fought strong winds to find a love that's warm

Resurrection Rain

Two old flames took a boat one April day
out on a small lake as dark clouds formed above.
The woman had a question which unanswered lay
as heavy as the clouds which they took no notice of
until, at last, the woman heard the truth from her old love. . .

In silence they drifted, each one yearning to regain
the passion lost, and then the sky spilled tears for longing’s ache.
All at once, there was a ring of sweet laughter in that rain
as a resurrection with the torrent came,
and then, their burning bodies, drenched, rekindled the old flame.

A Jaded Soul's Redemption

Forlorn innocent, Darkness engulfed.
Bolder it grew, emotions it quelled.
Darkness ruled him, casualties it amassed.
Amidst the agony, benevolent souls befriended.
Light’s genesis, faint emotions it rekindled.
Yet Light by its lonesome stood frailly.
An enchanting partner it awaits longingly.
Alluring in sight, vehement in presence.
A celestial Shine, with then Darkness yields.
Will thou empower the Light and be my celestial Shine?

Her Regret

HER REGRET
For all I had was to return your love
Your affection, your time
You never really asked so much
Yet I never cared
In times when you had all eyes on me
When all you did was for me
And I regret my ways
My decisions
My friends
Who really couldn’t let me go,
And now that I realize that I love you,
I know it’s too late to touch your love,
Your heart,
Your affection,
I can’t tell how much pain I feel

And if only I could make you smile
That smile that once shined like the sky
Perhaps your heart might open for me once again
Your love for me could be rekindled once again
You’re worshipping
You’re trust
I am so sorry
Yet am afraid it’s all over now
