The Blessings of Prayer

Like a gazelle springing from left to right
Your prayers come winging through perilous night

Making swift haste to my ill beating heart.
I was amazed at how many took part,

So deeply moved, there are tears in my eyes.
Dark thunderous clouds have moved to clear skies.

My gratitude floods to poetry friends
I’m humbled by your love as my heart mends.

The Dove In Your Eyes

How fast to wiles I fell my damask rose,
awake from slumber slept untold ages.
To gaze so deep in ocean eyes repose,
and print whispered prayer on mind's pages.

Your soul in gleaming shadow found complete,
a thirst no other want or wish contrived.
Nor cherry grown upon the branch so sweet,
without cold and dark of Winter survived.

What heart loved without a madness looming,
secure from injury sure to tarnish.
Unbroken, though lone in sadness' glooming,
and held away from love's fruited garnish.

How true the dove devoted in flight still,
that lasted in love, more than ever will.

To Pray On Your Flesh

I want to place my final prayer
upon your plush velvet neck
murmuring my needs warmly
on that expressway where the crossroads of love and lust unite
focusing the steam of my soul there
confessing wholeheartedly
that my heart cannot move without you,
with my thick, steady hand rotating around your priceless grail
feeling the communion of our desire come to life
as your mouth becomes the chalice that holds my heartbeat
in this moment that confirms our sanctity -

Prayer For Her, This Wounded Heart Healed

Prayer For Her, This Wounded Heart Healed

Please keep this dream in my lost life
remove painful sting and life filled with strife
Let her dance and sing another sweet tune
as I hold her under this, merciful God's moon.

A Gift From God - a Sonnet

I am a wish, a prayer, from mortals lips
That reached heaven and touched God’s fingertips
And returned to earth wrapped in flesh and blood
A gift from God’s unconditional love

So love and cherish me as God does you
And guide and teach me well in all I do
And together, a garden we will grow
Filled with the fragrant beauty of the rose

And on the day I reach maturity
And feel the need like leaves to leave the tree
To show the world the colors that are me
Rejoice in all the beauty that you see

For I am your child the gift that God gave
No More than a wish and a prayer - away.

The Treasure of Birth

It's hard to describe
that true sense of pride

that comes with the worth
of your babies birth

A child takes your heart
right from the start

and wills you to sow
a love destined to grow

From dress ups to cupcakes
from boo-boos to heartbreaks

it's all worth the pain
from the treasure we gain

Time spent together
can only be measured

in memories we hold
as part of our soul

God keep this life
from turmoil and strife

give it love and care
and blessings to share

For all that we ask
is that we're up to the task

and do all that we must
to honor your trust.

Do Angels Cry Too

The curtains on a somber evening fell
as weeping angels hush and pull me near;
assurances of love they softly tell,
to calm a soul who lost a love so dear.
Like ribbons on a memory I reach
to tie them all together in a bow,
now wrapped in every prayer that I beseech
and warmed within the heaven's lovely glow.
But, why are Cherished stolen from our midst
before we have a chance to say goodbye -
regrets for one last time we could have kissed
or even one last time we could have cried.
Yet, still through angel tears that damp the dawn,
I can't accept the thought that you are gone...

I Need Your Help Daddy

I’m tired
I’m Physically and Emotionally tired
I don’t want to be the strong one anymore
I can’t this time
I don’t know what to do Daddy
I need your help down here

I can’t get back in control of my emotions
I’m having a hard time dealing with your absence
I’m having a hard time standing by myself
I need your help Daddy

I’m broken and lost without you Daddy
I need your will to want to carry on
I need your strength to over come this
I need your strength to stay standing
Your courage to fight back again
I need your help

Please Daddy I’m at a loss
How am I suppose to do this
I need your guidance
I need you to guide me back
To whom I was before
I need your help Daddy
I need your help

Prayer

One more morning, after one more night,
One more thanks for keeping things right,
One prayer to bed,one as you rise,
Good morning God,thanks for another sun rise,
Prayer is the fuel that keep us going,
Through troubled times, pray for strength keep rowing,
And without fear step out, face the unknowing,
Although all around negativity blowing,
Every day, even one positive seed, try sowing,
Within my veins,God love is flowing,
God is my friend, the devil, not interested to know him,
Here comes the garbage truck, over there throw him,
Don't just say you love God,pray show Him,
Remember prayer keeps us,spiritual growing...

Wrap Me In Your Comfort

Wrap me in your comfort Let me melt inside your eyes Kiss away my salty tears Embrace me where you lie Undress me with your passion Sooth me with your song Tease me with your tenderness Drive me crazy all night long Be my pillow when I need one Blanket me with your loving care Cradle me in your arms of satin Be the answer to my prayer

Candle Light

The sun sets..
Darkness surrounds..
There is a candle burning..
Candle light ..
A flickering flame..
A tender flame that glows so lovely..

Peace and quiet..
Silent and still
Only the sound of a slight crackle..
By a warm glowing candle..

In my moment of silence..
In my moment of serenity
I softly whisper a prayer of gratitude..
A heartfelt prayer of pure Love..

My entire being had been lifted by divine love..
The flame of the candle had died..
For I am now the flame of the candle..

Glowing with divine love and light..

Stand Guard True Angel

As we worship, bring the silence in gracious peace ring down the day. Stay the light that's stained with violence, deliver calm, pass ill storms away. Send to us your guileless servant, pure of faith and stainless heart. Confer to him a truce so verdant with joyous love and hope impart. Stand guard against faults that rage and spare less fortune from the cold. Lift these hearts, fallen, fled with age and never loose us from your hold. Share with us your saving Grace with harmony that men embrace. 08/06/2018 Rhyming Poem On Angels Contest Sponsored by Emile Pinet

Nameless

"A mother's love is made in heaven." Quote Written By Poet

She was a young and beautiful bride,
then her handsome husband died.
The fast car came out of nowhere,
there was nothing left but prayer.
Life was about to take her on a wild ride,
but she could not go and hide.
A precious baby girl was born,
she was told to be happy and do not mourn.
For now she is dressed in pink and is nameless,
lying in the hospital crib blameless.
Loving adopted parents would come,
and save her as she sucked her thumb.
Somethings can start out bad and end up good,
our new name is parenthood.

My Mom

My mother was your average country mom
She wasn't gorgeous. Some might call her "plain"
But had the patience to diffuse a bomb
Her eyes grew narrow, when I caused her pain

She never raised her voice nor slapped my face
Still taught me right from wrong and not to lie
Made sure I bowed my head when dad said grace
Encouraged me to find new things to try

And even though she worked, twas not for greed
She took great pleasure from the "simple things"
She told me, "Faith in God," was all one needs
That real love doesn't come with any strings

My mother was as gentle as a dove
My prayer this Mother's Day, she knows she's loved

Please Give Me Wings

Wash my heart and make it clean
Remove the grime from where it's been

Take my idle hands make them yours
Use them to open holy doors

My cracked lips long to sing your praise
Be my Mistro the rest of my days

Guide my calloused feet along your path
I wish to know Love and not your wrath

Take my arms place them around the poor
Help me realize I need less not more

Plant your precious thoughts in my mind
Change me from selfish, make me kind

let me see your face with my eyes
Remove my ignorance make me wise

Apart from you I cannot be whole
Thank's for this reconditioned soul

One day my life will end, I know it's true
Please give me wings, so I can fly to you

- Heavenly Hugs -

Unique is the discipline of love
Understanding God's law
Faith holds supreme commander

Sometimes we have to fight
our way through a concrete jungle
stone cold dreams nightmare evaluates

Rocking the cradle unworthy desires
no peace or rest for the wicked deeds
in order to find the answers to hopes prayer

Truth pointing us directions
within our code of moral conduct
which supports us in our voyage

In the walk of life chaos grips hearts consumed with hate
Without faith our souls identity will become dust
Needing hugs from heaven to survive

New Years Resolution

Love more, when it is hardest to love.
Show compassion, always.
Be kind when deserved or not.
Be patient, when you are at the end of your rope.
Smile, when you are saddest.
Pray when you are at your lowest.
Thank God when you are at your highest.

A Silent Prayer

On silky sky, a silent prayer for God and love and stars live there. In light of sun and milky moon, in depths of dark and crests of dune, where sunlit gems meet farthest seas, where rainbow’s hues meet gentlest breeze, to love on high His majesty, to fully bask in His glory, to greet the clouds and welcome rain, to hear the joy in thunder’s refrain, to know this love resides within, so once closed hearts can share, opened. A silent prayer on silky sky becomes a song to God on high.

Imagine That

If there was no crime
No hurry for time
No genocide
No homicide
If there was no mothers burying their sons
If mankind didn't invent guns
If schools still had prayer
If everybody recognize Jesus Christ as our savior
If there was love and respect
No hate between white and black
No homeless
No loneliness
No wars
No rich or poor
No accidents or disasters
If man only served one master (God)
Imagining is good for all it's worth
Heaven is definitely not planet earth

When Darkness Falls

At night rapscallions in my head
Refuse the coal that scorches dread

And peace, however light the touch
Calms the seas where dragons rush

The crescent moon, my dreams aglow
With love so pure, pearl ivy grows

Hurried heart that once sought fame
Must kindle hope née shatter shame

Above the sky where angels dwell
My pealing bark in prayer reveals

A moment filled with His relief
When light grows dim

             doth vanquish

                                Grief

Brainstorm

From an insufferable, unceasing rain of disappointment, I try to hide my scars under the cloak of a smile. Alas, this master of disguise, fools but one. My dreams are like a reverent prayer that's lost its relevance to love. Shrouded in ominous clouds of deception, I am a refugee of doubt with no joy in reality. I wade through poems that never rhyme, from memories that never mend. I cower from this rumbling squall of loneliness and shrink from the shards of misdirected words. The mantle of hope escapes my ambitions, forever silencing my courage. I am drowning in discontent. Brainstorm Contest Sponsored by John Hamilton 10/16/2018 1st. Place

Him

I feel him everywhere
He's my savior and loving prayer

Let me tell you he's mighty fine

Smiling eyes to see me through
In everything I choose to do

The very best of humankind

My very soul my dream come true
Never loved anyone like I love you

God knows I thank him all the time

I feel him everywhere
Angels sent him I'm aware

I will love him till the end of time

Love Is the Force

Tender touch gently soothes an ailing soul
Wordless discourse greets eyes of love
A mother's hug comforts her child's ego
Love is the force that makes the world go

Kinder hearts ache sensing others' pain
A prayer mightily calls for suffering to end
Flowers of goodwill shed feelings of woe
Love is the force that makes the world go

Words of care resonate in any language
Noble deeds of strangers justly amaze
A message of peace triumphantly echos
Love is the force that makes the world go

Love received, gives, and regenerates
It multiplies, compounds, and propagates
Love is the force that elevates the world
