Divine Song V

Idle my tongue remained, my Lord,

till the moment it learned how to pronounce Your name

But from

that moment onward, it never ceased singing your song

which has set my soul aflame!

Flowers In the Soup

I stir very gently my special soup
Stirring in more love just for you
Sweet and spicy aroma so uplifting
Sprinkling in some sunshine now
My soup has blossomed with faces
Friends who mean so much to me
Always there to help when needed
You are and always will be to me
"Flowers In My Soup"
Dedicated to all my old and new Poetrysoup Family You are "The Flowers In My Soup"

Love Speech

Please tell me about the existence of time
Is it meant for you or what I want as mine
Would you savor every minute meant for you
Will you compromise our life built for two

Come close, feel this heart beating for you
The only movement inside I compare to eternity
With every savoring minute, I make room for more
My love is proof of existence of time

Just a Note To Say Thankyou and Farewell

Dear friends/family,

I want to thank each and everyone of you for all the support you'd given me through these past eight years on poetrysoup.Every beginning has an end ,and I guess my journey on this site ends here. I want to thankyou for helping me grow both as a poet and as a person.I will remember each and every one of you,and pray for your happiness.I thank the first friends who welcomed me on ps eight years ago.If it wasn't for you,I would have never been here all these years.You know who you are..And I thank all those friends I met along the way.I love you all.

On the sand your lonely footprints

But somewhere in a distant land

I walk beside you.

Windwalker

I
knew a Tiger
who swam with dolphins
along the razor’s edge

and
meditated with a yellow bird
under his honey’s tree
in a west coast garden.

A
rare breed
from an indigenous
creed.

His
poetic wisdom
written with
zen.

He
sung his songs
in syllables:
5-7-5 and 5-7-5-7-7.

His
beloved’s last kiss
left him fragrant roses
when she crossed over.

Where
did our
Windwalker
go?

Lava
beads, sky lanterns,
and a beautiful
rainbow.

Is
he crying with Coyotes
to the moon or on
heaven’s Windswept Shore?

I
knew a Tiger
who walked
with the wind.

Favorite Poems

I had eight POETS honor me with my POEM "BrokenHeart"
But clumsy me, hit the wrong key and sent it of the chart

Then seven POETS chose my First POEM "The Aqua Rose"
Oh silly me, hits the wrong key; in cyber space it Grows

Six POETS chose my POEM "ALWAYS Together" as a Fave
I finally got the message, for this POEM, I DID save

Could YOUR Heart, hold all the TEARS; that Life has shed in LOVE
Would YOU Gallantly suffer, Sorrow, for the Memory of Eternal LOVE
Should YOU empty an Ocean of Tears to revive YOUR Everlasting LOVE
Does YOUR mind Reminisce, about the First Kiss, igniting the Flame of LOVE

Care Every Where and Much To Spare

Christ has so much care to share;
All over earth and was everywhere,
And His love,
From above,
He sent to us with much to spare.

Purpose

(Dedication: For my PoetrySoup friend Funom Makama.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Faith anchors well
Fond feel that tells
Hope knows a sight
Where faith casts light
Love hints and calls
In rise and fall
Dare find the way
To walk each day
It's plain to see
What yet may be
Dare venture far
With love on par
Let faith bring hope
Where love sculpts scope
Live journey trip
Dare fashion grip
All in due time
Chimes sync with rhymes
Poetry Soup Has Soul
PoetrySoup has illustrious wordsmiths,
	Helpers, counselors, encouragers. Human muses.
I jumped on this site with eagerness, not daring to hope for
			Even a partial bit of what I have received.
I took the leap of faith, joining right away,
	Without any idea how these new friends would soothe my soul.
And squelch my fears, and my doubt that what I wrote was actually poetry.
	If I die tomorrow, I go satisfied,
Fulfilled by friends I have only met on paper,
		Best friends who send me SoupMall,
Friends who have
	Embraced my soul, and lifted me with the purest love.
		Thank you.  Your energy is appreciated with awe.
Poetrysoup, a place to forget your worries
Where you can share freely your stories
Where there is no one to judge
For, no one harbors a grudge
It is a place where all folks are even
It is a solace, a safe haven
Where broad minds love to dwell
And charm each other with a spell
Where flattery rise from the truth
For, creativity yields to fruit
Where the bitter makes you better
And the sweet becomes sweeter
Where love and care kills the hate
For, everyone knows how to open the gate
Of understanding and compassion
Despite the friendly competition
Poetrysoup Poet
I have found many friends on our site
They have helped learn how to live right
Friends encouraged me to find my way
Friends held me in the prayers they pray
During my absence away from this site
My soul and I fought a constant fight
Because deep inside these words are true
I love the time I spend with all of you
I hope you all know without any doubt
I love taking my soul and laying it out
Because when it comes to life it’s my turn
I’ve so much to give so much to learn
I’ve kept my summer free so I can show it
How much I love being a PoetrySoup Poet
A Silent Pen - In Remembrance
A Silent Pen - In Remembrance by Eddie Wonder when, why and what purpose. Linda-Marie wrote her last poem about a near death experience hearing her children sob and feeling the love of her husband holding her hand as she returned. She returned to shed light on her family and all off us here before she left again for eternity. She came back to give us a message of love and to remind us to treasure every moment of life. She told us not to fear death, but to embrace life. She told us that life is a gift, a present and that we should remember the present is a present. The lives we touch on PoetrySoup…
Winnies
Life was once flat and ran down
Years trailing the tracks of sundown
I had chummies, not dummies
Struggled like flies, but winnies.
Winnies as winners, not gifted
Winnies as fighters to be lifted.
We were belittled a hundred times
For struggling with a thousand dimes.
We are all winnies... born to be loved, to love and to win!
(This is meant to be a cento, however PoetrySoup.com does not have that option, anyways please comment with your views on it.)
I'm useless, but not for long,
Are you here with me?
'Cause you are my medicine,
When you're close to me.
I am happy, I'm feeling glad.
Just looking out on the day of another dream,
Keep a mild groove on,
The world is spinning' too fast,
You've got a new horizon, it's an ephemeral style.
Now in a melancholy town where we never smile.
So star shine when you gonna find me.
The poor people are burning in the sun,
The future is coming on...
