The Peony

She bent softly over the smooth water
Her fingers gently caressing the blue
A peony clasped to her bosom
Its petals soft and pink and true...

The artist captured this brief moment
Brush strokes telling us their story
The maiden ripe for the time of love
The peony clothed in peaceful glory...

Ancient blossom so full bodied
Yet delicate in scent and grace
A flower captured in Asian legends
With bowing head and subtle face.

Rose and Peony

I’ll watch
over you
my darling
as I prepare your bed
with gentle petals
of rose and peony

Close your eyes
and sleep
my sweetheart
surrounding you
with warmth
and love
I’ll soothe
your aches
and ease
your mind

I’ll watch
over you
my darling
with my heart
my life

Soft Peony Clouds

soft peony clouds
ensconced with wet petals
drops of liquid sun
pools in earthly hollows
reflect sky and earth as one

Where Flowers Bloom

Where Flowers Bloom

           Time stands still trapped in the nature
           of my garden bursting with baby-pink peony,
           golden gerbera and purple hyacinth like dainty ladies
           to be watered and kept.

           My heart's a garden where flowers bloom.
           My garland of red roses, I give to you.
           I shroud you now in all my hues
           A Baby’s Breath I promise you.
           And tell you that I dreamt of you.

           Enter now fair stranger, from its hedge;
           step into my world and behold
           LOVE in colour, scented, perfumed, a maiden
           Who dreams of you.

Blind

His love, is unconditional for her
Neverceasing, like the temporal track
But I just wonder, when his mind will turn
And he'll realize, she doesn't love him back

She puts him in consistant agony
With immensly harsh rejection and lies
Then she turns as sweet as a spring peony
Thus, his affection grows more and more high

Forever and always a battlefield
Are the antagonizing games of love
And I feel, that if they don't quickly yield
His soul will fly to the heavens above

It is urgent he is brought back to earth
Or invisible myraids become hurt

Don'T Leave

You came to my house and said
You are mine forever, but I paid
The precious moments with your
Blue smiles, where played impure

Valentine came on the hazy moon
Where dark owl mocked sole alone
Azure sun raised face in violate sky
Where blood petals spread yell sigh

Now the blue icicles imbue the tears
On the gypsy roads the spring bears
The grief of transience for peony root
Where love forever was a villain truth

Yet together living is the stage of peace
Don't leave, don't leave me alone, please

                          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
he peppered peony
petals, poems ...
                        past my path
scattered starlight, songs,
moonstones …
                        spaning my spine
friendship fell
                        in felicity.
hush the bee hum in
my hooters were hazel
Begonias bloom
                  bound
silent songs
strum my sternum
funneled fairly
fetching forward!
                  fettered
                  gramophone of love
The Peonies Are Gone
The peonies by the front porch are gone
Late this year they lingered, never fading,
Reds, pinks, and white made warm bouquets
For the gravesites of family and friends in May.
The honeybees feasted on the peony blooms
As did the ants who love their sweet nectar,
Until rains came and plundered the petals
The peonies by the front porch are gone.
Snowflakes And Peony Rime Couee
Vampires relish the winter sky,
they feed on every mournful cry;
The holiday lonely;
Wanting to be caressed in bed,
or make love on an antique sled;
Snowflakes and peony;
You can’t go buy the gift they seek,
to bite and taste another freak;
Carnivorous copper;
Lips that pull all your insides out,
and feast on every fevered shout;
Such thieves are improper;
Beneath his gaze she will give in
lured by such toxic temptation;
Conundrum I admit;
Beware of a festive mirage
that baits you with it’s entourage;
A strong dopamine hit.
Without You
The rose has blackened in my book,
and there is no wisp of you.
Your absence brings back that one brook
that once brimmed with love and hue.
The kitchen knife lies lifeless, lone;
I cut an apple for you and me,
your laughter rings in here, I groan
in agony of that memory.
Our garden has now become mine,
and now I know how silence screams.
This lily, this peony of thine
will too leave me like a dream.
Must I go back to a ‘house’?
It oozes with your happy thoughts.
I sit by the gate and drowse
while my heart homes distraught.
Deja vu
Have you ever seen a peony under a candle light?
It makes the space mystical.
A safe enchanted heaven.
I feel that I was here before
Back in another time,
Back in a different century,
When people believed in magic.
Then we were together
you kissed my forehead while I was reading my book,
Paradiso by Dante.
You we were looking at me like I was a precious jewel,
A jewel that you would never want to lose,
Something you bury with you,
Because it is a part of you.
You were looking at me like I was the one
The one that brings light into your life.
