Cuddly Animals

Cuddly Animals

Little small cuddly animals all full
of colourful coats and lots of fur.
Every type is here from little mice
to black Norwegian goth guinea pigs
to chocolate drop pussy cats
that love to be stroked.
All animals are there to be loved
with lots of care in nice warm homes.

Norwegian Blue

to norwegian blue
another more solid version
of me and you
another varicose vision

I Don'T Know

I don’t know,
Whether I am French or American,
I just doubt,
I am a poet or a fisherman,
Cause, now I love you as ever.

I don’t know,
Whether I am Texan, or Norwegian,
I just doubt
Whether I am dead or alive,
Cause, now I love you as ever.

I don’t know,
whether I am a book, or a glass,
I just doubt,
I understood ma and pa,
Cause now I love you as ever.

Loneliness

LONELINESS

Loneliness is like cold Norwegian ice, so pure it hurts in a numbness like fire.
But loneliness is better than silly little English girls messing one around.

A Fall From Pedestal

A fall from the Pedestal

And they saw this man a great orator, and he was black,
in America (if not in Uganda); and people said, this man
and his race know about inequality, so they made him
a president and the whole world was jubilant, so much
so that the forever naive Norwegian gave him a peace
prize medal for peace promised...one day soon.

And nothing happened, the applause stilled; on the sky
more and more drones flew and the oppressed masses
continued to be subjugated... and his fine oratory began
sounding hollow and we came to realise you can’t judge
a man by the colour of his skin, not by his silken rhetoric,
but by his actions and sense of justice...

Norwegian Elkhound

Norwegian elkhounds, proud and bold,
With curly tails that wag like gold,
In forests deep, they roam and play,
Hunters of night, they stalk their prey,
In every heart, their love unfolds.

Dreams of Love[after Liebestraum]

Magenta thatched magic
Lantern ravine
sugar plum shadows
haunting the stream
  perplexing the galaxy
a siege of illusions
a serpentine rhapsody
leads to conclusions
  Follow the lodestar
Hesperus rising
delirious love
is always surprising
weave me a diadem
wild orchids weeping
Norwegian whiskey
and Grieg
while I'm sleeping
   Deep in our bower
a bold mandolin
bids us forget
all we are or have been
we rise on the vapors
melodic surrender
to the rhythm of love
and our night
to remember.
