Lucid Dreams

Last night I dreamt that I was dancing in soft foggy mists designed in pearly bows, frolicking from thin fluffy silver waves- blanketing moonlit skies within hour less hills and jasmine fields free flowing through blue bliss lakes, in lucid motions, as seamless ripples reflect a sweet rhapsody of a golden rose sprouting amidst glistening rays, as I name mauve stars with your love

I kissed the Moon

I kissed the moon tonight, enveloped with quartz amulets of Luna as luminous streams of stars paint my poetic sky glazed in citrine dust tracing rain dews in your eyes to cleanse these scars I hide within teal rivers, swiftly ferrying lanterns whilst wishing upon the Milky Way that your cosmic rhymes would save my aching soul from drowning , so take my heart, engrave love

Love In a Lane

Day Passed by, Reliving. Parked in a lane, Hid from watchers as we lovingly kissed, Losing count of love as emotions thrilled. Until sunset Meant time up, We left Sad.

Honeysuckle Heartbeat

You bloomed in heartbeats of cream daisy, longing to be born like breaths of gold honeysuckle petals, but, when fate smeared silence on twinkling throbs of innocence, life sighed in crisp embers of faith as your feet basked in peace above earth. Weaving shine with a pearly smile, you swirled in a snow-white lily's soul when heaven melted in moonstruck sight; I'll miss you, beyond love, my flower.

Onion Love

Oh, pungent onion, large, sweet and fried in golden rings, diced, sauteed for casseroles or grilled with meats; tossed raw into my greens! I love you so, that when I slice your skin, I’m the one that weeps!

The Master's Plan

The air that I breathe, Your mastery
Where the water ends, land begins
Flowers engulfed by the dew
What a breathtaking view
The birds in full flight
All in Your plan
Arranged
With love

A Silk Rose

I run my hands down your silk shoulders
till our hands are in each others.
As our bodies lightly touch,
these lips can only kiss.
I whisper softly
my only words,
I love you
always
Rose.

Spring's First Kiss

By Carolyn Devonshire

Two hearts we carved in the budding tree
One heart for Peter, one for me
Fifteen, fresh as the season
Breeze brushed love to our lips
Sharing our first kiss
The heart remains
Tree has grown
Love once
Bloomed

Tribute To 'Navaho Madonna'

Wild horses, prairies, desert canyons,
Native Indians, brush landscapes
by 'Dean of Western Painters'
known as Olaf Wieghorst.
His contrast boldness,
softened with light
blended hues,
stirred my
heart.

Inspired to capture his moving art,
passion pushed to reproduce his
famed Navaho masterpiece;
every brushstroke chosen
to grasp his canyon,
mother and child
on stone bluff
framed by
rock.

The Ransom Paid

My Lord, what more need I ask of you?
For you have left your throne of light
Came to this place of shadows
Wherein lies treachary
And sin rules the days...
Taking my place
Soul redeemed
By your
Blood

Were I to live a thousand lives
Lay the worlds' treasures at your feet
Perform stringent penance
I could never return
The ransom you paid...
Crucifixion
By your blood
I am
Free!

Forever Demands

Fate declared this life there is no time
time for us to be together,
yet surely some justice found
in this the universe,
a planned after life
where you are mine
and yes, I
become
yours

Your Cherry Blossom Lips

My fingers' tip-toeing on your face
stopped at the softness of your lips,
   moonlit night guided my lips
       to your cherry blossom,
       a gentle Spring breeze
           melting like wax
               engulfed us
                with pure
                     joy.

Heart Song

I hear the rhythm beneath your breast,
music of intense emotion,
with a volume of such depth,
it bypasses my ears
to enter my mind,
which interprets
for my heart
and tears

My Obsession

My obsession.. like moth to a flame
This love for him will never cease
We've said, 'what will be, will be'
Dreams do die, but once
Their ashes tell truths
Always alive
In my soul
Breathing
Him

Gliding Dove

love
this dove
glides above
the hush of night
on its endless flight
to share this song of plight
my voice tarried on night's wings
soul's symphony to you it brings
this melody within my heart's strings

Maybe I Just Forgot the Stamps

Dear Santa Claus, can I ask a wish
A wish come true- for everyone
Be'eth I too old..to ask
Will it fit on your sleigh
It's not a small wish
It's humongous
Everyone
Will love
It

I
Myself
Will share it
To one and all
To the entire world
Even for you, Santa
Several times I wrote you
I wished for peace and love on earth
Maybe I forgot to put the stamps

Colors of My Brush

Blue for the eyes that loved my calm sky,
green for the soft grass we slept on,
white for the lilies we picked,
yellow for small daises,
purple for sunsets,
red for wild lips,
pink for skin,
rose for
you.
