My Neighbour

She’s lonely, the old lady just over the fence
Ninth decade approaching, alone and living past tense

Sometimes I see her and acknowledge good day
Put time to one side, not running away.

A love story she tells me, I’ve heard it before
The man that she married and simply adored.

His battle with cancer, he’s now spread on my land
How her family all left her, once they had cash in their hand.

I see the wrinkles of hurt carved into her face
Only I know the reason, why she’s attached to this place.

Life around me
Lose control
Price of energy
Eats you whole
Consume
Attain
Distract
Disdain
Life betray you
Purpose lost
Love thy neighbour
Whatever the cost
Consume the falicy
Attain more... MORE
Distract from the dying
Disdainful dead next door

Where Is the Love

Ive indeed gotten older,
And i can feel the weight of this world on my shoulders.
Where is the Love?

A fellow neighbour has fallen down,
But no help for him will be found.
Where is the Love?

Little childern are dying,
No one is trying,
Where is the Love?

Our army men are dying,
And their mothers they are crying,
Where is the Love?

Thousands are on the street,
With not even shoes upon their feet.
Where is the Love?

Lives are being lost....
But at what cost?

Without Fear Or Favour

Without fear or favour,
Will you be remembered for this kind of behaviour?
Or will your epitaph be of a different flavour.

Will you be remembered as having no backbone?
Staying on your cell phone,
While others are cut to the bone.

Will you have showed how tough your love can be?
Or will you have preferred to wait and see,
What our re-action would be.

Has, fear of being out of favour?
Ruled your behaviour,
In place of Love your neighbour.

Is fear or favour been motivating your behaviour?
When others ask you a favour,
Knowing the consequences could be dour.

Without fear or favour,
Is it possible for extremism to sour?
The news every hour.

Don'T Worry, Be Happy

DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY

The euphoria of sorrow gathered momentum;
Anticipating the arrival of the streamlines,
No holds barred for imminent tears
Turning a happy face to a nightmare

An iconic ace  control of its beat;
Pounding hard to beat the hit
Leaving medulla to works at its peak
Comporting the body from losing its ease

The agony of sorrow may weaken the ego;
Even nerves could only manage to control,
When the brain is restive and all alone
For inability to calm the body to compose

The dept of love comfort the mind of sorrow;
Making mankind give and not borrow
Even when there is no hope tomorrow
Loving thy neighbour dearly to bone marrow;

Amazing grace of Your blessings lift us up

Kindly fulfilling our lives, our eyes focused on Your kingdom

Thou Shalt Not Kill

People claim
to follow God
To follow Allah
Moses went up onto
the Mountain
and came back
with the ten commandments
Thou shalt not kill
Christian's claim to follow God
Thou shalt not kill
America claims to follow God
Thou shalt not kill
Palestinians claim follow God
Israelis claim to follow God
religious cults claim to follow God
thou shalt not kill
to follow God
we must live at peace
love thy neighbour as thy self
war destroys the jobs
that feed our children
creating poverty
and starvation
to follow God
create peace
with every
religion

The Beatitudes B

"Blessed are the merciful,"
to God do remain true;
shower kindness upon others
thyself receive a bonus!

"for they shall obtain mercy,"
this shows us so clearly;
that God rewards good deeds
as the shoreline doth recedes.

Isn't it nice that God demands this?
Isn't it wonderful to achieve this bliss?
indeed He saith again and again
love thy neighbour let thy love remain.

Till the day Jesus comes from the sky
practice this words by and by;
when we see His face in all glory
that'll be the end of this short story.

Amen!

One of The Beatitudes in Matthew 5 states:
"Blessed are the merciful
for they shall obtain mercy."

Amen!

What, Where

what happened to the days of old
Where life was more presious than gold
What happened to playing in the streets
Where the kids from the neighbour hood would meet
what happened to the long bike hikes
where picking berries for our nanna that she so likes
What happened to the hottie's she put in our beds
where she kept them hot every hour till we rested our heads
What happened to the days of unlocked doors
Where fear didn't seep into your pause
what happened to the days of babies being born
where laughter and love and family are not torn
what happened to the positive life
where once apon a time things were nice

Double U

I tried to enter a “U” poetry contest once
Though, unfortunately I was too late
So my first poem contest entry
Didn’t turn out great!!

So here I am with “W”
“U and X’s” next door neighbour
I do believe “W” is in love with “U”
Due to her wordy wise nature!

“W” is pronounced “Double~U”
As “W’s” love for “U” grew
A single “U” was no longer enough
So one “U” became two

At times he’s called “Wouble~ U”
When his “Alpha-Bet” buddies have had a few
That’s when “Lady E” of the “Vowel Gang” makes her move
Though “W” is just not interested
As he only has eyes for “U”!!

Deep From Thou Heart

words of thou neighbour
peircing the soul in despair
let flow the pain as salty tears
shall not plant the seeds of anger
donot hold the blazing torch of anguish
it will burn thy heart plotting for vengence
loosing thyself in the vast torment of madness
leave it be, everything shall wither with time
in forgetting the wreakage forgive thyself
pacify the urge, control thy thoughts
rash decisions are for tomorrow
today show enormous love
deep from thou heart

Broken Commandments In a Broken World

Love your neighbour.
Bomb them to Hell

Peace be upon you.
Off with their heads

Blessed are the poor.
We shall exploit them

Feed the hungry.
Poison their waterholes

Help the homeless.
Herd them into refugee camps

We are equal in the eyes of our God.
Let women be our slaves

There is dignity in labour.
Prostitute yourself

Respect the planet.
Pollute earth,air,sky and sea

Health is wealth.
Only wealth can afford health

Uphold freedom of speech.
The thought police rule

In the Cloudless Night Sky

In the cloudless night sky
Each star clear
In the heavens
Sparkling like sequins
On a ball gown
Are you there?
In heavens firmament
Are you the bright star?
The one more beautiful
Than its neighbour
A thing of beauty
As you once were
At my side

Marked Days

Once the calendar was designed to calibrate
We took the liberty to mark days to celebrate
And revere all that we treasure
With appreciation, reminiscence and pleasure

We revere the struggles and the freedoms
The pride and the establishment of kingdoms
The love, the births and all anniversaries
Sparing that day to tell the stories

Same way for the birth, death and Resurrection of our Savior
And Church on Sundays is more frequent than behavior
Taking time off labour
But are you a good neighbour?

If today is the day that the Lord has made
Why not chose good words and deeds to trade
Mark no annual day to be special
And make special to be life as usual

Where all of the women shared stock
They say Marilou
Had more than a few
For diversity in her flock

Charity Begins At Home

Tongues as cymbals
Or sounding brass
What you believe
Is but one small path
You may aspire to greater heights
But that will not allow you to advance
In your God's eyes
Love yourself
Not in a lustful way
Love your neighbour
With all your heart
Embrace your enemy
The same.
It is in love
Where the human meets the divine
And in that moment
Heaven's gates open
Knock with love
And they will open to you.

Compassion

Humanity's ego, to resort to violence
To settle conflicts makes no sense,
And yet we still have not learned
The art of peace, for which we yearned.

To love our neighbour as ourself
And to put grievance on the shelf
Could this be in our gracious hands?
To bring compassion to troubled lands.

With each hill we have to climb
Life is lived one day at a time.
Let the tears of yesterdays storm
Bring a smile to a new day born.

For everything to be humane
We need to be compassionate and sane
Too lightly on lifes scales
Compassion weighs and prevails.

Love Your Neighbour

If you can be your
Brother’s keeper
Even by not diving so deeper
Abel’s blood
Couldn’t have clutched
Our world into an evil clutter
Where on countless basis
As world stared daisies
Joseph is sold by his brother
Or thrown into a pit
Many tread tragic tracks
Bearing crossed crosses
Of their own crucifixion
Dying, other’s deaths

Kiss

Kiss not kiss,
Kiss yes kiss,
Kiss for kisses,
As sins for death,

Kiss not me
I cried,
But kiss me
Cried another,

I waken up emotions,
And give ambitions to many,
And kiss me, said me
And kiss not me,

Said my jealous neighbour,
I straggle all
And even myself
I know love and not hatred.

Kiss not kiss,
Kiss yes kiss,
Kiss for kisses,
As sins for death,

I speak of nothing,
Yet I ask for something,
I call not men
Yet I bring them together,

I play not the piper,
Yet they dance to the tune.
I ask not questions,
Yet I answer them.
Kiss…

My Bizarre Neighbour

he’s eccentric and bizarre
love my neighbour but only from afar
since he keeps all his doors ajar
I saw he keeps his glass eye in a jar
when in the morning he revs up his car
he pretends to be going to a seminar
he’s convinced he is a rising star
walks around in his peignoir
in his mouth a footlong cigar
and in one hand a european guitar
once he offered me some caviar
then walked away without an aurevoir!

This Year

This is year I shall have love divine
My heart from sin will be set free
I will abolish vices especially wine
My heart I shall only offer it to she
The wife, who gave me children one two three.

Human hearts cleave so quickly
Their spirit longs with ardent hate
Jealousy and spite lies thickly
This year I hope they become straight
The heart full of love they must restate.

This year we shall hear God’s true voice
Concentrate and listen all shall be revealed
Love thy neighbour and you shall rejoice
No more killings in the street in the field
Like Christ on the cross you will be healed.
