I Do Not Exist

I have been erased
no face
no name
Silence invades

I speak yet have no voice
no soul
no heart
Darkness I embrace

Invisible to the mirror
Into society I peer
no one sees
what does not exist

Asleep or awake
there is no existence to partake
Possessions collecting dust
While what does not exist rusts

Who am I, that never existed
That bleeds but never lived
Murdered by love
no matter

I do not exist

I Envy the Stars

I envy~ champagne stars, sparkling gold. Cascading as Cupid's arrow, to steal quartz rays, of the rose moon. Like love-struck eyes in~ awe of Lunar wings, unaware of how, you mirror my soul; cosmically tied.

the moon to moon afterglow

Faraway Queen

The moonbeams bore you in a cradle of light smiling
warmly a cold blue winter moon rocking over and back thoughts

Midnight mystery howling to a silver reflection deeply echoes whispering winds
over Snow Mountain faraway dreaming stars twinkle in your treasure jewels

Lost trying to catch your trail freedom inside love the spark igniting
magic believing in a fairy tale ending dust in a thousand dreams enchanting

Black Afternoon

her sunlight shaded with clouds
burning love shuttered in pain.
rainfalls pour down on her feet
black widow spits in demon's face.

broken mirror hangs in the wall
she sees face dirty and old.
pulling down tears one by one
rinse the wound caused by his hands.

she caves underground to feel the darkness
composed herself while brokenhearted.
wait for the morning to witness the sunlight
free her mind to feel the long lost love.

fiercefully, she ran through the door
no regrets, left her home alone.
blue and purple paintings on skin
have gone when she dance in the rain.

A Touch of Love

As we sit closely side by side
We watch the billow of the tide.
No words are said; you clasp my hand
You know full well I understand.

You know full well I understand.
No words are said; you clasp my hand.
We watch the billow of the tide
As we sit closely side by side.

Perfect

Why stay in Oz, girl
Wishing for changes?
Turning your mirrors to books
So you can rewrite the pages

You’ve got a beautiful heart and mind, girl
Why look at the flaws?
I can’t even see the tin
Or the rust or the straw

I think your worst side is your best side, girl
Don’t throw all those little things away
I don’t want your 'out of date' style
Or your blemishes to change

So open your eyes, girl
And look in the mirror
You’re perfect to me
Couldn’t get any better

Storytime

The bed is still in disarray.
A faint erotic scent exudes
From the crumpled pillow.
Was it only yesterday
This page unfolded?

Empty now this gold and decorated room
Except for paper roses.
A bobolink
On a spiral spring, gay.

The mirror stares back at me
Unrecognizing the pale cold shadow
Who haunts it seeking
An old reflection.

The blush is gone; no joke
This walking in and out of chapters.
Tell me another story, friend,
Or give this one a happy ending.

Where Shadows Flatter Despair

No– shadows do not love
the angles of your face.
Reflection in a cage;
the mirror— enemy
in atmosphere of age,

no.. shadows do not love
the smoother skin of youth.
Your worries; furrow wears,
a trench where troops retreat,
—accumulated years.

No! shadows do not love
mascara and soft light;
distracts from sense of time
and wishes drowned in wells…
damn clock’s incessant chime—

no, shadows do not love
the wrinkles and the lines.
They etch your map their ink;
topography of life
where sun o’er valleys sink.

A Zulu Warrior

Do you sometimes see a Zulu Warrior Staring back from the mirror in the morning! A nasty fierce looking bad tempered dude Obscenities flying out without warning Crabbing bout having to make a living But enjoying all the many accoutrements If it wasn't that, it'd be something else People just love to complain and vent A shower and shave, you're almost human Not one person will ever suspect That a member of the Zulu Warriors tribe Was a coworker of great respect Do you sometimes see a Zulu Warrior Staring back from the mirror in the morning! © Jack Ellison 2012

Through the Mirror

So now I know
Life has played its part
I never would believe
that I could die
from a broken heart

No you can’t mend me
it’s been far too long
everyone will go
everyone has gone
everyone will leave
that God did lend me

I could only watch
then step aside
as it all just went
no matter what I tried
the only thing I can say
was how hard I cried

It was a shiver in the mirror
A reflection of pain
Where the shadows of doubts
were cast and bent
Any old soul
or any message sent
Were at the end of the road
and who is left out

So now I know
Life has played it’s part
now I do believe
that I will die
from a broken heart

Stay Strong

Don't do it.
Don't fall back into that dark hole.
Not again.
You're strong.
You're very strong.
You've come far and you are able to go further.
Don't give up.
You got this.
I promise.
Mom is watching.
She's proud of you.
Just because you made
A few bad decisions
Doesn't mean you're a bad person.
She loves you.
But you have to learn
How to love yourself.
You're not that person who's trying to take over your body.
Fight against her.
That's not you.
You're stronger than your enemy.
..
Don't do it.
Don't fall back into that dark hole.
Not again.
You ARE strong.
Now look in the mirror
And tell that reflection
That she is beautiful.
Because you are.

Singing Blue Blazes

As the snowdrops nod happily when you kissed my soul warmly love
laughing in the cold spring air so stirringly beautiful flutters wings of a dove

The daffodils yawn awakening to new life or so it seems
sun beams smile inside a thousand songs sweetly my dream

Birds singing freely dawning tunes deep heartfelt desire
you are amazing one faraway flame kissing beats on fire

Reflection In the Mirror

Feeling the youth And vigor in my heart In a fog of my conscious mind Fluffy white clouds and blue sky Green emerald tall grass I love and dance around Reflection on the surface of the mirror Reveals a different story Sees what we are Not what we feel To regain the youth Instead, we relinquish our past I'm that little girl in Norman Rockwell illustration, "What you see in the Mirror?" Wishing for my beautiful youth The eyes of my loved ones see a different me The person they love with all their heart With no flaws, but beauty Reflection In The Mirror Reveals a different story 3/3/2015

Lost In Love

Holding you inside one fragile beautiful flower blossoming dream
Sweet you are my love painting words breathtaking within all wishes

Silvery streak of moonlight shimmering a star
only now I read between the lines trailing thoughts

How can you ask someone to stop loving without care
an impossible task even for the hardest of hearts

If I were the last person on this planet sunshine through clouds
that's how it draws to me you're asking me not to love you

Misery likes company cuts deeper than a knife wounds beauty
never was the answer to love in our friendships face

Fall Down Together Love

Ruby all boils down
to you in every dream hot
one vision cannot shake free

Visiting center
nerve glows of everlasting
beauty flowering blossoms

Singing jewel gem
voice of a sweet angel kiss
eyes faraway mystery

Rose your soft petals
touch the deepest chambers
swept away ocean tides wave

Pearl of the deep sea
crowning queen between two
shells holding such rare color love
embracing ring one daisy

She Sold Her Soul In a Bathroom Mirror

Wicked Witches vicious Wishes
Worst of Curses Hexed
Paranormal Victim Witness
Poltergeist are Vexed
Rows of Sixes Superstitious
Sacred Scrolls and text
I see dishes fly malicious
And She is surely next.
Sold Her Soul and burnt the Bridges-
The Devils love Her Best!

Looking Into the Mirror

"Looking Into the Mirror"
Sudden realizations iced up his core
To form the frozen image of a man
He who stared in reflected embarrassment
While sobering silence takes over the room
As this was not the person he was to become
But for childish dreams that stuck with him
Fantastic machinations that warped a man's mind
So he'd remain a child who never grew up
And had to face his parents on occasions
The adult to them is just on the exterior
Because he made a living selling his voice
Though in using it to say I'm sorry
His parents would have to wait
Just like the forever he has waited
To hear them say we love you for what you are
A child never grows too old
For their parents open arms

Waking Up Without You

The sun sneaked through the curtain,
And lightened up the place,
Where you'd normally lay your head.

And as I lay alone, beside you,
I can almost feel your breath,
Upon the back of my neck.

I drag myself into the day,
And for a second I see you in the mirror,
Sitting on the edge of our bed.

As I walk into the bathroom,
I hear you call me from the bedroom,
But when I look, you are not there.

I laugh at myself,
In the kitchen,
As I put back a second plate.

I feel the warmth of your arm wrapped around me,
As tears full of my love for you,
Fall from my face.

Breathless Bounty

A dream once entered the hall leading
to the stairway of enchanting dining room
one guest echoes rang out bells began chiming
inside an echo to the soul dancing paradise golden sands speak

Blowing whispers silently upon a heartbeat calls
footsteps your stage platform takes to dancing ignites
into a restless flame flicking warmly on each breath
sweet delight floating in a fresh blue breeze

Two celestial beings join universes apart our spirits fly
planets and stars gazing softly twinkle love
on a collision course together we spark lighting up
silver ore we are the magic that spells are made from dust

Valentine Queen

Sweetly sailing through deep seas
building a castle from out of the sands
mirror reflections fluttering diamonds speak

From one little spark igniting light
becoming a fiery particle
burning from the glint within

Through the passage of time
flashing visions of a dream
when a moon kissed the sun crowns

Catch the moment

Once in a while

The nature get it so right

Drawn by a painting

I love the wonders

The trees bend in grace

Catch its glimmer in the mirror

Everything is mesmerizing

There is beauty to behold

I walking in peace

All in silence

Captured Moment Haloed

When the golden sun sets over a horizon
Mirrors inside glittering with reflections

Sparkling Underneath the realm of possibilities
Far away drifting oasis upon a cloud called nine

Where heaven holds the creation’s seat
Kneeling before lashes fold

Enthroned by your light breathing through clouds
Beneath adoring rays crowned by the Aura of beauty
