Carpe Noctem

Up above the moon shines brightly;
starlight touches earth so lightly;
passions teasing impolitely.
Midnight whispers, “Carpe noctem.”

Blowing soft the summer breezes
through her hair as nighttime pleases,
and the moonlight softly teases.
Voices urging, “Carpe noctem.”

Standing close our bodies facing;
hand in hand our fingers lacing;
gentle touches, hearts are racing.
Longings begging, “Carpe noctem.”

Wonder where her thoughts are leading;
do my eyes reveal my pleading?
Will she, with her voice conceding,
whisper softly, “Carpe noctem?”

Magical Moonlight

I
love
walking
at midnight
as moonlight shadows
dance on the inky blue ocean
and watch as they sparkle and shimmer like tiny stars,
pirouetting gracefully like prima ballerinas with the ocean as their stage

Midnight Romance

Midnight Romance

Dusk falls quickly on cerulean skies
Day morphs from ash of roses to sable
Our love's vision flashes before my eyes
Midnight romance, like an ancient fable

Charcoal sketches meander in my mind
While jasmine-absinthe incense is burning
it's smoke, evokes passions clearly defined
porcelain skin blushes with love's yearning

Obsidian-ebony eyes that gleam
pleading to quench needy soulful desire
beckoning me to unite in the dream
willingly, I rush to put out the fire

My mind's eye sees quivering crimson lips
As love drips from ivory fingertips

The Magical Music of Poetry

The notes of love in verse;
a melody of life
penned softly a la carte
will render thoughts of bliss
when whispered heart-to-heart.

The notes of love in verse;
a symphony of hope
shared ‘tween two hearts in love
just trying to connect
beneath the stars above.

The notes of love in verse;
a rhapsody of words
sighed with a tender flow
when whispered in the dark
sets lovers’ hearts aglow.

The notes of love in verse;
the poetry of thoughts
sung softly in the night,
with stardust raining down,
ignites love’s midnight flight.

A Kiss Remembered

Beyond fair reason, I shall think of you.
In fallen grass or gently flowered field.
To see each fleeting moment fade to blue,
With my distant thoughts, I silently yield.
This memory to tremble ever soft,
A misty vision of a face once kissed.
I'm whisked to midnight skies and stars aloft,
A sheltered afterglow now reminisced.
The shadowed door with candlelight so still,
An empty chair with a fading silhouette.
Forgotten times in love's unyielding will,
As flames to ash can trace the two who met.
A hand that brushed a cheek to often soothe,
A kiss remembered, many years removed.

Martha's Poem

I will love you like tomorrow Like the days that come to me Like the warmth of summer sunshine Like a wind that blows me free To hear the song of nightingales Beneath a crescent moon To share each simple pleasure On a rainy afternoon In the silence of a morning Deep within a restless sea Walking through the darkness And with everything in me For every precious moment That lives in effigy Love will grow within my soul To reach eternity And when we gather moonbeams After twilight steals the hours Sleep with me through endless days Among a sea of midnight flowers

Transformed

One summer in a garden at midnight,
I chanced upon an angel standing where
the moon made a mosaic with its light.
He must have come from heaven; oh how fair
his alabaster skin and eyes of blue!
The guardian of my heart he might be.
How wrong I was! For that which would ensue
was nothing like what he had promised me.

At first his eyes were azure skies until
the dark clouds came; my angel man transformed.
The windows to his soul gave me a chill.
His mind was twisted like a maze. There stormed
inside his body a chimera soul,
for wickedness had swallowed him up whole.

Love is a Metaphor

Love is a metaphor,
which glows in vibrant hues.
An abstract masterpiece
from Da Vinci's palette,
easing souls to feel peace.

Love is a metaphor.
A guiding moon compass
with spotlights at midnight.
Showing how lovers meet,
then shine in diamond light.

Love is a metaphor.
Portrayed through Rumi's verse.
With words that make you think,
how will your sweetheart's lips,
kiss you like quill and ink

Love is a metaphor.
Simple to comprehend.
When conduct connects speech,
words bloom from heart to tongue.
Romance is what you preach.

A Hollow Heart

A hollow heart devoid of love
is like a night no stars above,
or like an old abandoned well
whose empty echoes speak of hell.
A lonely heart will gently weep
as raindrops through her veins will seep,
and cascade down a pallid cheek,
and leave a weary spirit weak.

My broken spirit aches with pain
when sun sinks low at end of day,
and darkness douses hopes thereof
as midnight chimes amidst the rain.
These sad forsaken dreams portray
my hollow heart devoid of love.

Faraway Queen

The moonbeams bore you in a cradle of light smiling
warmly a cold blue winter moon rocking over and back thoughts

Midnight mystery howling to a silver reflection deeply echoes whispering winds
over Snow Mountain faraway dreaming stars twinkle in your treasure jewels

Lost trying to catch your trail freedom inside love the spark igniting
magic believing in a fairy tale ending dust in a thousand dreams enchanting

Fountain

I want to eat Pizza
While wishing on a star
To taste the taste of happy
By being where you are

We’ll choose to be silly
Not afraid of mistakes
Skinny dip at midnight
and skip pebbles on lakes

Why not dance together
While howling at the moon
Or become little children
and watch a cartoon

A world infused with laughter
can change how we think
From this fountain of youth
We’ll both gladly drink

For nothing could be better
Than sharing it with you
Because getting into mischief
Is a blast if there are two!

Misted Moonlight

Into the twilight of night falling bewildered reflections
blowing within clouds form a grey question turning tides
passing winds whisper voices of one's soul form mirrored images

Whispering currents speak through the oceans wave bellow
faraway destiny cries with the seagulls echo through time
The caves unwrap lustre held between shells singing melodies

Footprints will remain always salted love verses hate struggles
each takes a step forward silently the bells chime midnight
under a chandelier of roses forever dances within misted moonlight

Enchanting Whispers

Enchantment of this soul
breathing inside the magic aroma.
Under the hawthorn bush a fragrance lingers
appearing out of thin air my dream

Lunar circle turning over earthern thoughts
a strawberry cream moon softly whispers
Under the green turf you are held solid diamond
the beauty of midnight tolls

Growing all over the castle walls ivy emotions
gripping feelings cotton soft slippers hold a print
Embracing cold stone warmly clinging onto chambers walls
Transforming kisses tenderly inside the heart and soul

The God Seeds

The God Seeds

in the midnight summer solstice
out in air alive with fireflies
floats young lovers and their wishes
exciting moments hand and hand
hold the mind in solid silence
contemplating on the romance
to be shared in heat of passion
just a touch is hot attraction
till coming dawn all fresh with dew

with a sum of years, they ponder
deep within to nurture God seeds
of a rich devotion aging
from eye to eye and lips to heart
of the man and of the woman
imparting joy and love to keep
a constant growing in the soul
an empathy says someone cares
to walk together when their old

While I Was Sleeping

Asleep in reverie, enrapt in lucid dreams
Myriads of stars chase silver moonbeams
You render kisses on the lids of my eyes
I am being loved by you. In sleep, I sigh.

Drifting with you all through the night
Your arms around me, we've taken flight
In amorous slumber, your breath at my ear,
Voice barely a whisper, "I love you," I hear.

Comes the morrow, I awaken to the day
Lost is my dream, where I longed to stay
Tonight when the sky turns midnight blue
I'll be drifting in dreams, lost in loving you.

Love In the Moonlight

Love in the Moonlight

Rhinestone studded midnight
weaves its magic thread.
Under silver moonlight,
hearts to love are led.

Burning passions unchained,
we fuse with the sky.
Frenzied, fulfilled, undrained,
in love’s heat, we lie.

Blazing, dazzling, sizzling,
flames of love burn bright.
Sighing softly, fizzling
gently…love's delight.

Under silver moonlight
hearts to love are led.
Rhinestone studded midnight
weaves its magic thread.

Poetic Dreams

My ink keeps bleeding your sweet name tonight
Whilst this heart's pleading time to sprinkle light
Silent hummingbirds beneath starless skies
Weave misty metaphors through midnight eyes

Will roses ever be a kind mentor
When fate unfolds a sharp thorny traitor
Can love resketch hereafter through brushstrokes
Interpreting fields where twin flame evokes

An immortal enticing bonfire
as angels of romance ascend higher
I yearn to feel your poetic veins near
realizing there's no sign of you, here

Without us, this quill refuses to rhyme
distance between oceans remain a crime

Free to Express

Imagine the sun shone in rays of red,
sparkling in saffron skies with clouds of bronze.
If it was maroon would you love the moon?
If midnight was beige would you go to bed?
An artist's mind should be free to express.
Use their canvas to show confetti bled.
Ignore those who claim stars are not lilac.
Create pink rain, as orchid puddles spread,
around silver sparrows and golden swans.
Would you love the moon if it was maroon?
Let your muse weave patterns with vibrant thread.

The White Roses Died With You

White dove's wings flutter in crepuscular light
As I visit your gravestone's marbled sadness
To let my soul linger through the long night
Still, the loneliness now measured in years
A beggar of alms for the price of love's tears
Pulled from the grave of my heart's madness

On my knees of torment, I scream at the pain
For my soul of white roses turned midnight blue
Death stole their lifeblood, your love had sustain
Now buried in memories when the daylight fades
Left with nothing but darker realms of shades
When all the white roses died with you

I'll sleep before midnight

In the midst of celebration, I care not for confetti dreams. In fireworks there's no elation, so I ignore new year day memes. Only your lips can bring delight, so let me sleep before midnight. My soul is tired, my heart is worn. Without you what's the point of dawn?

In a Vampish Way

In a vampish way, the moon erupts from the sea
pirouetting across white cap and trough valley
through an impassioned performance of love set free
	in a vampish way.

A persistent tease, she sets her mind to dally
with Eros’ desirous heart as her victory,
only to break it with her vigorous sally.

Darkened midnight skies find her in malicious glee
as she counts coup for a final mental tally
and she continues en l’air on her odyssey
	in a vampish way.

Days of Emptiness

She sits by herself
on the grains of white sand
basking in the warmth of sunshine
staring out at the sea
while waves of sapphire blue crept towards her.

Tears stream down her face,
another day of emptiness,
another day filled with pain.

This was where they made love
when they first met
under the cover of midnight
and the waves' lullaby.

She closed her eyes
thought erupt in her soul
holding him once more
leaving a calm.

     He was gone.

          Or was he?

A Sailors Farewell

Surrounded by angry, raging seas Under a shrouded midnight moon
I think about loved ones dearly missed
I won't be seeing anytime soon.
Future plans come crashing down
 Under the heavy pounding waves
I've traded my warm bed and loving arms
In exchange for an early watery grave.
Weep not for me my cherished children
For I could have been a better man
I just hope I will be remembered
For providing as best for you I can.
Eternity now pulls and beckons me
I must say my last goodbye with tears
To you my love, please forgive me,
For not providing you more years.

Kiss Me Quiet

It's near midnight, whilst we moonlight walk Palm tree lined fairway, Crickets singing Hands clenched in loving vacationed talk Hearts in wanting pound, Batangas is bringing We, she and I, now amidst our intending lock Serenity is the scene blessed by lunar watch So late, but joyous we, soon our lips are speaking Clouds now hover as we witness natures rain Our apartment is distant, we welcome given Through broken lunar light, stroking her mane My hands in taken then, sensuously they're driven Kiss me quiet is whispered, hearts now in reign Walking, slowly walking, absorbing to us this night Hearts in touching pound, Batangas has brought .
