The Dwelling of Medusa

Hundreds of frenzied snakes Slithering from her head Looking at me While her gaze wants To turn me to stone But I glance away Knowing the damage That can be caused I met her Dwelling in a cave Unaware of most slang But she endures A painful existence. This Medusa A friend or fiend You tell me I need to know But I will love her Forever and a day One half orange and one quarter lemon Exchanging packages Will be our right True love While romancing sunsets Just remember To avoid the gaze When she’s beside herself And all will be Just fine

Sonnet To Medusa

Bury me in your own eyes, For at last we are alone. No more does my love feed your lies; It just turns my heart to stone Bury me in your own heart, For now your serpent lust can't strike. Your glare will only cause me to part; Call it what ever you like. Bury me in your own skin, For you are only a reflection. A fallen nymph for my sin; A god's second selection. Medusa, my sweet gorgon love, Your beauty was taken from above.

Medusa My Love

Temple temptress, how I long for your lips, your milky white skin and sweet-scented hair. But alas, Athena has cursed you, for Poseidon's rape and sordid affair. Don't push me away, Medusa, my love, you're mortal, unlike your Gorgon sisters. And though inside you're filled with guilt and shame, when you flash your scales, your green skin glisters. If I but glimpse your face, I'll turn to stone, but I see you through the lens of my heart. And though slithering serpents crown your head, it is not enough to force us to part. Just say the word, and I'll kill Perseus, like the Gods, he's cruel and merciless. (Sonnet) 3/25/2018

Every Sunrise, Every Sunset

Medusa, no longer do you have my eyes, For you've turned my love to stone. At the bottom of the sea it lies, But I can't breathe when I'm alone. To the tree, I'll tie the rope, And bury our picture at sea. Though at this height I cannot choke, Please summon your thoughts to me. "Hour by hour, day by day," My heart for you stops beating. At this depth, my lust will stay, For everything is fleeting. At your feet adoration starts, While "dead hands clasp my heart."

Virulent

Love such as this is virulent.
Caustic and toxic, this love burns my innards.
I burn for you.
I need no antidote.
This love is worth the pain.
Your venomous tongue lashes me.
Words cannot hurt me now.
Your eyes petrify me, Medusa.
But my advances will not be halted.
I need my venomous fix.
My blood boils,
Ready for your poison to contaminate.

Flash

I thought I saw Judy Jo just now.
There was a commotion, someone shouted out, then the sound of a fist meeting face and a thud.
She came walking out from the back where the pool table was being bled on by some hapless fool,
Her hair flowing with Medusa-like curls, gleaming with sweat in her tank top with that wiley grin of hers.
Ha! Nobody messed with Jo without her permission.

It wasn’t her though. She’s been gone for all these years.
But thank you, feisty chick in the tank top for bringing that back for me.
An old man needs those moments every once in awhile.

The Sky and the Sea

When do you think the sky meets the sea,
At the very end of the day when the sun goes down.
Rest of the day he just looks at her
A Medusa,
Whoever looks at her are unable to take their eyes off
A Blackhole,
You can look forever
When the sea touches the sky
That moment is worth alone a thousand nights.
The Sea,
Can be as calm as the first moment when you touch snow.
The Woman,
Can kill anyone with her eyes.
That's why you don't mess with the sea
The sky couldn't take the risk to lose her forever.
An Enchantress,
The magical power to attract anyone.
The One,
The sky wishes only to be with the sea as one
Even if he has to wait a thousand years.

Medusa Is Loose

You were a close friend.
Until I had a different point of view.
Your tiara turned into snakes.
Envenomated my peaceful place.
In turn, I gifted a mirror to you.

A Lesson Learned

I at once with humbled gaze
Caught sight of beauty’s prize
With skilful sly and knowing craft
Medusa met my eyes
Ne’er again will sight so fair
Afflict a heart so sore
What yielded I so freely
Was tossed upon a floor
Lovely eyes of hazel brown
Cloaked the soul behind
And hid a heart like diamond
And a tortured troubled mind
What twists a spirits natural grace
With ugliness and hate
What turns the fire once beautiful
To ashes in the grate
There is a law surpassing all
Whose statutes truth impart
Though beauty lies within the eye
Love dwells within the heart

Married to Medusa

Inspired by Medusa, written and sung by Glenn Hughes, with Trapeze

I look at you and can only stare.
I love your long and flowing hair,
your smiling lips and eyes that flash
as you bat each knowing lash.

Yet sometimes very late at night,
or when the light strikes you just right,
your beautiful hair turns into snakes.
Your look gives me the creeps and shakes.

Maybe I drank something too strong,
or maybe I said something wrong.
I'd rather ride an appaloosa,
but I'm married to Medusa.

Statecraft

Delta. I was the fourth child.
The delta connection of a
triangular love. No blues.
Only cottony belly.

My copper coins. I want to save
them for making talismans.
My arms are entwined like
a python around the neck of a medusa.

That hairy push of a trident.
The stinging tentacles. The
polyp was enlarging. Now the
snake was shedding the skin.

Statesmen. They change their colour
like chamaeleon. Prehensile
tail trailing behind the witch-
craft of black goddess.

My Daughter - In Her Eyes

Oft’ I look and tempest see
Though tranquil be the turne’d page’
For though there’s shelter in the lea
There’s naught but peril in the rage,
Though not an Asp there be to sight –
Her admonishments Medusa like,
And Man may flee and Man may fight
Yet petrified he be in spite,
But in that ever changing book
That’s not yet wrote its chapters,
There’s joy and magic in her look
And in the hearts she captures,
Thorough tempest and tranquility
A joy of love my daughter be.

His Lips As Mythology

kissing him, i feel like icarus. except this time,
we stick the landing

kissing him, he becomes the pomegranate and i
become persephone
(fruit has never looked so good)

loving him, i become achilles with his heel,
medusa with a mirror,
the epitome of not-so-happy endings

and yet, with all the stories written,
with all the stories told,
with all the heads chopped off and eternities
spent with dear old hades,

i'm writing this story the exact same way.

Cornucopia

My love in such abundance
wreaths as medusa snakes on
sinuous, scarlet, velvet clouds
shedding scales of emotion profuse,
  falling stars in utopian skies.

Clinching all the dealing,
the finality of embarking
and arriving at the harbour,
dervish dockside of Nirvana,
sparkling lights in plate glass eyes.

I flood like bursting dams
on zenith reservoirs,
torrents tearing through a wasteland,
irrigation of a dust bowl,
  demand the desert flower.

Cornucopia of adoring,
feel my gauntlet seal
on the atoms of your system,
every particle of spirit,
  feel my worship shower.

After

What’s harder
finding
or keeping

Searching for your hearts desire
your knight is shining armor.
Once the ride into the sunset has wakened into morning

After he has seen you with hair that could rival Medusa
After he has picked up your used tissues
After seeing you pig out on a lazy day
After their laugh stops being cute and starts being annoying
After the bra and panties hanging around the room stops being sexy and starts
being disgusting
After realizing she can't cook
After the sleepless nights of non stop snoring
After the march madness where the guys never leave
After the fights

What’s easier
the finding
or the keeping

The End of Nothing

There I was, my heart sank
My mind screeched to a halt
“How could this happen?” my head asked,
“I’ve done nothing but wait”

The wind blew my raging mind, unable to see
The time I spent was wasted
Too late I find out that I was being lead
Down a false road, all was done so I would be protected

The harsh truth stung as its dagger was removed
From my heart. My mind now knew why I had those four empty
Months of solitude. Lead down a false road
To spare my feelings with her fancy

Now too late I regret not opening my eyes
Now too late I listen to my heart
Now too late my mind makes a connection
Now too late I see medusa with the eyes of Alatheia

Medusa My Moon

Medusa, My Moon

A medusa piercing the curtains, cursing me
The moonbeams, hugging my weary back,
A futile attempt to bring me back,
My heart, eyes that desire death are open,
Yet my two eyes, confined by the vision of hope…
My wandering body, petrified with life,
A jail , a false promise seducing me,
Could the moon’s love break the curse?
Turn me to stone, to save me from suicide?

Frozen Fantasy

Frozen Fantasy
By: Inking Al'Kallio

Loud noise and chattering voices, isn't distracting me like you.
I am frozen as ice and like medusa, your glance has turn me to stone.

Adorable and angelic like oshun grace bestowed. Your lip are sitting invitingly than athromedia's apples.
If cupid shot an arrow tonight and I fall into ecstasy, cover me with your body,
yeah, let it be my canopy.

If I'm lucky to have you,I won't push horizontal, I promise you tangency,oh with rhapsody of realities; Because you, my darling are my greatest fantasy.
