Glass Winged Dreams

I tried to fly without white wings
I cried inside with soul dying
Broken spirit broken dreams
Can you hear it my black heart screams

I was asleep and yet awake
Nightmares so deep they escape
The well in me the hell in me
Tormented spirits keep jailing me

I hide my heart in my shoe
Like it is money or gold’s fool
I walk around limping in pain
For I hate sun and love the rain

For sun makes clear all shadows
I’d disappear like a haunted ghost
Ever so near to holy hope
Depression is weird like me you know

Glassy eyes from teal tears fried
My heart broken my insides tied
Into burnt knots of mahogany
Lost in thought my glassy wings

Cling On

Those wide mahogany eyes,
I cannot help but cling to,
like goosegrass clings on,
too dear, may I hang out here?
just for a little while longer,
you know it’s freezing outside,
and I already seem to miss,
the crescent of your smile.

Brain Farts

Paint me with your purple passion
Give me a red reasons to ration
My soul food hot and old fashioned
Melting like butter won’t be lasting
In my heart love isn’t lacking
Let lips spark body thrashing
True love is art no one acting
Sending to stars like ship casting
Despite dark emotions blasting
Somber days replaced so happy
Peach pray to be lavender laughing
Seen and esteemed Nubian nappy
Turquoise times accepted gladly
Mahogany mind fermented madly
Brain farts produce art so sappy
Your love I trust not fasting

Mahogany Love

Come take a ride on my ebony thighs;
Sink deep into my intoxicating velvet walls
Envision black, brown, skin soaking up the moonlight
Touch my lips, with kisses, hard and full of passion
Embrace the beauty, lust, love-taste the forbidden, this is ecstasy
As the moonlight wraps around our soft mahogany flesh
As my lips blaze a trail from to your harden manly flesh
I want to make you quiver, shake, and moan
I want to take you to the edge of ecstasy, have you drink of my femininity and experience this love -dark mahogany

Composed Coffee Cup In Hand

Tall terrace housebow-fronted windows
Opulescent green lined walls silk paper
18th century French marquetry pattern
Glowing dressing table walnut veneer
Smoked salmon kisses heart on sleeve
That color does become her kitchen
A glimpse of yellowing autumn trees
Stately home ancient lake full of fish
Pot of coffee polished mahogany table.
Beautifully raised gaze. .Private moment .
enormously enjoyed each others comp
Ushered out....gates slid quietly together
delicate cabriole legs. oyster satin fabric
Loin of pork , leg of lamb , frozen cake.

Movie Buff

I like a good chase in a scene
To me that’s everything

The plot
Has to be hot

And the actors
Must know their places their spot

The music in a movie creates the
Entire vibe

It’s what brings the movie
Alive

The wardrobe is of utmost importance
It’s the love of a movie, the romance
That heightens the performance

The wardrobe the cast wore in Dynasty, Mahogany
And even Harlem Nights

Was sugar to my eyes and kept me
Mesmerized

Making a movie is similar to a construction site
It must be built

Like Grandmas quilts

It’s more than
Camera, lights and action

It must leave its Buffs with total
Satisfaction

Eyes Like Yours Set All Apart

Set smoke, so sweet, so delicate
Something fuliginous, so intricate
Ocher bronze is all that I can see
You're beautiful, a dime to me
Spheres of the purist maple syrup
Sums them up; affectionately
Flowing through my heart, forever over my soul
Suspensions of golden medallions, never to control
Carob or chocolate cold never be
Subbed; for your lens looking at me
Caliginous, foreboding, but never forbidden
Like a chestnut mare; not broken, or ridden
My devotion is firmly planted, in your Earthly visions
You absolutely slay me with your warm decisions
Whimsical; they are made of fine mahogany
Eye's like yours set all apart; yet set me free

Hangover

The dreary chattel of self-preservation

blinks slowly under a roof of delusion;

a vacancy sign laced with the angst

of neon's persuasion.

Everyone leans a little too far,

toward a mahogany mantle;

suffering the harsh taste of

tomorrow's guilt.

But tonight,

they are free.

Tonight they pour

their love into frosted

glass,

and drown.

My Mistress' Eyes Are Nothing Like the Sun

My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun.
Her skin's mahogany, not regal white.
She slaps on paints and fillers by the ton,
and has the dress sense of an anchorite.

Fastidious? Only in her brand of beer.
Brash burger joints are where she likes to dine.
She'd rather look at Fonzie than Vermeer:
thinks maybe vampires dwell in Wittgenstein.

It's Oprah Winfrey over Orson Welles,
and Justin Bieber beats Thelonius Monk:
she'll read "Hello!" before the Book of Kells,
and Chateau Margaux's just for getting drunk.

A fiery, funny, perky popinjay?
I wouldn't have her any other way.

Wakeup

Unmistaken and unread
Words, walk, wakeup
Past the mahogany dresser
And the ruffled feather bed
Behind the sunrise
Where love speaks red
Words, walk, makeup
She is a woman
Unmistaken and unwed

Purple Victory

The evening warm blaze

Deep amber and magenta sky

Stood two souls on a cliff

Beneath mahogany

Below them, endless

Glory of their triumphs

On his chest comfort found her

As he whispers softly

“From me, life will you find.”

She lifted her eyes and in that moment

She couldn’t agree more

For she reciprocated gave

Him hers, she gave it absolute

A promise that was well sealed

With kiss of purple passion.

Patina

THE SALTY SEA DOG My late uncle spent many years at sea I can still recall every single line on his aging face His weather beaten skin had a patina built up from exposure to the elements, it reminded me of tanned dark mahogany leather Those piercing blue eyes, still as bright as the sunshine would hold my gaze as he told me tales of his adventures He passed away many years ago but he instilled in me a love and respect for the sea which remains to this very day Fiction write Patina Contest Sponsored by Anthony Slausen July 1st 2018

Her Scarlet-Red Scepter

Breathtaking blue her sparkling eyes
   Rapturous red her ruby lips
Passionate pink her soft, tender cheeks
Luscious lavender the skirt 'round her hips

Torrid turquoise her manicured nails
Palatial purple the tiara 'cross her forehead
Eminent emerald gleam her toes' pedicure
Winsome white the silk sheets on her bed

Lovers knock on majestic mahogany doors
Heavenly hopes swelling their heathen hearts
As she raises or lowers her scarlet-red scepter
Whole kingdoms elevate---or tumble sadly apart

My Guitar

A beauty, she stands by the fireplace.
An hourglass shape encased in cedar
and mahogany Spanish taste
and I love her dearly.

Three decades of teary play on
strings that sting the skin and
burn yet still, I yearn for the taste of
melodious bass and treble chase.

Golden her face.
Her tone consoling, my soul performing
her inner grace, laid bare for all who will listen.
Placed or misplaced, in earnest
I christen her tone in song.

A Sepia Mahogany Tan Poem

This is my brown poem,
A sepia, mahogany, tan poem,
Coffe colored with cream poem,
A dark chocolate, caramel colored peom.
A sweet tooth, got to have you white chocolate poem.
Golden brown, sassy brown...a hot fudge sundae syrup
Dripping poem.
Hershey kisses chocolate, tongue tickling, teasing poem.
Spine tingling
Shivering
Shimmering
Brown poem.
Writing a brown poem with my pink pen,
With love in the middle,
Yeah, with love in the middle.

Paying Off In Magnolia Fragrance

Listening to your breathing, longing for your touch

Paying off in magnolia fragrant blooms
Large white puffy clouds, clear blue floating alive in the sea of sky
Forever is visible here, forever is believable

The breath of God, and flutter of his angel's wings
Reach up to heaven, touch the moon and lasso the vastness
Wooded cover visible in your mahogany eyes, sparkle like stars

Ripples of toned muscles, greet my stolen touch
Steal a look, hold a hand every chance, to love and be loved
You are my love, my life, my expectation of tomorrow
You are my only husband

God bless you Love in 2010 and forward!
Tracy your Christmas gift inspired this poem idea.

Forgotten

So many days,
So many moons
Have drifted down and by
still and calmly.

Like these
Forgotten kisses
Under the grey shade
Of Mahogany in
A summer day.

Last Dance

The Last Dance.
They had been dancing to the tunes of a juke box,
now it was dawn and they were alone except for
the barman who was asleep leaning his head on
his folded arms on the mahogany counter.
Soon the sun would break through followed by
the day and they had to face the dreaded future.
Both were married but not to each other, were their
love strong enough to survive the glare of the day?
They didn’t know the answer, just one more dance.
Hell will come tomorrow with its heartache and loss,
but not yet. My god, let this moment last forever.

Dandelion Lines

My pen rights my sins
I can admit my faults
Time and time again
Writing finds me when lost

That’s the fun of it
To lose myself in my pages
If dark then find me lit
By the enchanting words and phrases

I’m embarrassed to admit
Often I don’t think at all
Pink pen seems to vomit
And journal catches it raw

You can read my mahogany mind
Running rabid in the nighttime
Perhaps the best time to create
And escape the world and fate

Music is poetry with sound
Universal is it language like love
Turning smiles from frowns
Perhaps creating turquoise trust

So when I’m at a loss
At my wits end as they say
Music or poetry a toss
To come whisk me to safe place

Throw Tradition To the Wind

The greatest day wasn't when
I threw caution (and tradition)
to the wind
And asked for your matrimony
From an 8,000 mile journey.

It began with the first glimpse
into those eyes of mahogany
I knew from that moment
We were meant for eternity.

O- my muse,
We are of the blessed few
Who find each other time and again
Ageless
Lifetime to lifetime-
Our love will perpetually remain.

Shining blue truth on everyone

B Is For Black and Black Is Beautiful

Deep mahogany
Honey brown
Creamy hazel
Hershey dark
Smooth caramel
No doubt,
Black is beautiful.
Full big lips
Passionate dazing eyes
The most unique swagger
No doubt,
Black is beautiful.
Strong accents
Strong men
Strong women
Real love
No doubt about it,
Black is beautiful.
R&b
Jazz
Hip hop
Reggae
No doubt,
Black is beautiful
The things on our bodies doesn’t make
Black beautiful
Or neither does the shade of black either
It’s the soul deep inside that enhances the color
And that’s what makes black
So beautiful

Uncut

Your brown eyes remind me of Mahogany beams
Able to support my requests and fulfill all my dreams
When I look into your soft brown eyes, there like stable earth
Filled with all the beauty, strength, and riches, your love is worth
Those brown eyes like chestnut horses gate
Wild, untamed, and free is your natural state
Sweet brown eyes that make me feel like I was kissed by the sun
Heated, warm, sensual with unwavering compassion
They are brown like the color of coal before a diamond is formed
Uncut, beautiful, just like the hour glass they adorn

A Silken Wait

A lovely swing love laid
Under the cool mahogany shade
Pink jacaranda stood with glee
Breeze visited from tidal sea
Excited arms swayed silken hope
Freely because of no rope
Like the grazing golden deer
A story of resplendent air
Waiting with a restless ear
Lilting sounds from your hair
