Whisper Soft Into the Night

Distant prayers echo through a lilac sky
light flickers brilliantly in angelic eyes
a yellow crocheted blanket falls to the floor
and a growing heart winks inside.

Kindness breeds kindness in a precious heart
and a kindred spirit lifts and flies free.
helping our fellow man in need
forgiving selfishness and greed

Open up your heart and mind
another child feeds a hungry soul
for one who loves to love, the greatest
blessing of all, is seeing the one you love, love

Whisper soft into the night my dire want
let the rains wash down a growing grace
carry off grandeur into a sequel led estate
as a simple smile adorns a very humble face

Humanity

Shadow not over the words of love Love is a language known only to the heart Hear it in the wind and the birds above Paint it on a canvas skin and call it art Eternal beauty walks among us all Seekers of knowledge may know its name But true wisdom lies in hearing its call As the oceans cause the moon to wane Its gentle touch, abundantly crystalline Euphoric in nature, its secret is kept With its healing powers all part divine Though many an angel from love has wept Compassion and caring, make love's trinity And kindness a guide that leads to bliss So make love your one and true reality For you are worth much more than this

You Reap What You Sow

If you sow seeds of kindness,
Then kindness is what you'll reap.
If you sow seeds of forgiveness,
You'll reap untroubled sleep.

If you sow seeds of anger,
of hatred or discontent,
You'll reap a crop of violence,
Discord and evil intent.

If you sow seeds of brotherly love,
Then love you will receive,
But if wickedness is what you sow,
Then wicked you will be.

The lesson here is pretty clear:
You reap just what you sow.
Therefore, strive to sow only good seeds,
And spread them wherever you go.

I Got a Love

I got a love that's never gonna die
Your love has breathed new life into me,
has filled my heart that was once empty
I got a love that's alive and spry
A fragrant violet voice has revived the old bones,
turning back the clock is a good thing
Gave me a pep in my step, a soul zing
Your love rekindled the flame that was long gone

How could you know that you would affect me so,
make me to rise up from my slumbering deep
Go walking to the garden of orchid waking dreams
A shower of kindness make the seeds of your love grow,
blossoms of smiles move my undressed heart to weep
My love for you will never die, for it has been redeemed

God Is Love

Love is an authority.
It dictates choice and consequence
and joins together all the wayward lamenters
who grieve at their loss of purity.

Love is an actuality.
It breathes new life into masochists
who wished to die a thousand times over
and prey upon the weak and fragile.

When you let love in at first, it may seem out of place,
like a foreign object lodged in your chest, a parasite
feeding on the brains of its host, thriving in darkness,
blood-letting leeches drain this swollen heart...

But love does not enforce kindness; only offers a gentle reminder
for anyone who's forgotten how great it feels
to give for the sake of giving
and not be afraid of his own shadow.

Place In My Heart

The scent of fresh baked cookies filling the air Sounds of Andrea Bocelli ringing in my ear There's a pep in my step and a feeling unfamiliar My heart pounding, craving one night, one taste one look, one touch Words dancing off your pages speaking to my soul entwined in romance etched in my heart tying me in knots My heart has been opened welcoming you in No longer vacant it longs for your warmth your kindness your presence your whole Mind blown. heart owned bringing fantasy into reality walking hand in hand to the beat of the band For tonight in the stars it has been written there is a place for you in my heart

Eloquence and Grace

Eloquence and Grace were sisters on the run
In a place that valued hate
They found that they had none

They sought a world of kindness
Where love and friendship grew
They hoped that such a place exists in 1692

They heard of a new world, a welcome mat for all
From every meager walk of life
Where freedom will stand tall

They journeyed far to seek a life
In all love would allow
I wonder how they’d feel today, if they could see us now

Soulmates

With a calm soothing look from your blue eyes
You invite me in to refresh my worth
And heal my wounds with your appealing mirth
A kiss from your lips leaves me satisfied
To desire no more, just be by your side
Tease my cheek with your feathery soft flirt
And I'll tie off my vessel at your berth
While your waves of kindness restore my pride
We'll take a walk on the beach holding hearts
Take a swim in the waters of desire
Drying our bare souls in the bright sun light
Never again will we let our paths part
Climbing love's mountain higher and higher
Then down the backside, to walk out of sight

I, Woman - Anima

I, woman, love life, so I celebrate every little joy whether spent with my friends, family, or just myself! I follow the Golden Rule, for kindness guides me; also I’ve learned that smiling is the universal language!

Unbroken Chain of Love

Was there ever a time she doubted my love?
As a child, did I let her know how much her acts of kindness meant?
No one will ever love me as she did.
Decades have passed, but my heart still yearns for her touch.
Ageless is the affection for the mother who lives in my heart.

*Written March 15, 2015, in honor of my mother who passed far too young in 1984.

Love

Love is like a fire
It often expires
A comfort that revives
Your tender soul alive.

A blind joy soaring
The loveless signs ignoring
It rises high with freedom's grace
To spring a blush upon your face.

Love is sweet like antique wine
It breaks the fetters of loveless mind.
Love is loving all the time
Love is a spirit unconfined.

Love is a constant kindness
A joyful untamed madness.
Love jealous not
Or is a selfish glut.

Love is a divine quality
Expressed in purity!

Go Away

wars drugs poverty famine fear rape death and degradation that's the impoverished world desperate immigrants flee and yet we won't let them in go die on the other side of our new wall stay away from what’s ours we should be ashamed to call ourselves Christians there's no kindness in our hearts or tolerance for others even though God's commandment says to love our neighbors as we love ourselves (Suzette Prime) 8/11/2018

Reflection

As the sun begins to set and it's final rays slowly dance across this golden pond I silently stare into her reflection staring back at me past the old and the weathered ripples down beneath the surface into the soul the deep and loving soul the memories bubble out memories of kindness and love honesty and humility and memories of you how I'd do anything for you for us I stand here in silence and dream

Kindness and Grace

Life is like a gentle sigh Breathing out a heartening reply Coloring the thoughts in laughing gold Silencing worries and struggles so untold Whispering peace into the heart and soul Lighting up the spirit so it’s alive and whole Easing the broken heart with warm hope That comforts the solemn, helping them cope Breaking through the worry and pain Soothing the heart who knows the rain Life isn’t about who will always win the race It’s about who will love with kindness and grace Inspired by Jo Daniel’s poem, Life is not – which I dearly loved

Distant Love

Oh, love from a distance
     Such passion is mine
     I never thought possible
     An ocean's deep mystery line

     Soulmate's hearts beat as one
     From only the written word
Openness, honesty, is all it takes
     World history, such passion unheard

Her beauty astounding, angel in disguise
Jealous Kings of Europe would have fought war
Her kindness and humor melt coldest hearts
Brilliant and creative too, she makes my heart soar

My distant soulmate, who I may never meet
Shared love from a distance, a powerful, magical feat

My Muse Resides

I see in creases no others found
where souls seem low
and duty bound

where sparkle waits
in dreamlike states

amid anxious eyes
here her smile lies

I see in darkness under guise of moon
where beauty moves
no heart's immune

where kindness roams
alive in poems

held deep inside
my muse resides

Your Beauty Touched My Sky

When your beauty touched my sky the flowers bent my way engulfing me in a fragrance that I now know as you   The lilac and the lavender it moved around my soul bringing comfort to the romance begging to make our home   Wrap your arms around my kindness let your heart beat soft and free breathe into the sunshine in this dance of you and me

A Mother's Love

As a child, I stared at her She was my world And she was beautiful Inside and out She smiled like the stars Shimmering and sparkling Radiating kindness Her spirit was like love Blending warmth and hope Hues of inspiration Tangled with excitement Her eyes were bright green Laughing like the wind Welcoming my heartbeat To pound for her, breathing In the wonder of this joy A mother’s love in colors Vibrant as life, enlightened By shadows of beautiful dreams Faith, hope, love – joy and peace Her blend, a melody from His hand Poured out, raining down, affection

First Friends

Magical memories etched into time
looking at life through innocent eyes
laughter and giggles are reminders to us
to cherish the moments, sit back there's no rush

Incredible journey's are about to take place
soon they'll be off bringing tears to this face
First friendships are molded from what young ones see
God's little soldiers are about to be set free

Teach them good values, kindness and trust
love and humility of course, respect is a must
show them with actions let feelings shine through
and never forget to say I love you

The roses are blooming, there are geese in the lake
Invite them to nature and special memories make

Love On a Pillow

If I could put love on a pillow
I’d lay it on your bed
for you to find there every night
                      and rest your weary head

To set your dreams in motion
                and make your world carefree
for you to know your value
                             for you to finally see

If I could put love on a pillow
there’d be no need for prose
for all your pain, you’d understand
                   that thorns protect the rose

You’d wake to smiles and sunshine
                   with kindness on your plate
to know the road is long
                            but never it’s too late

Walk With the Lord Ink

When we walk with the Lord, mercifulness and kindness live within all of us; lead by the Light to see others in their dread. Let us not become latent with blindness. 3/4/2020 Poetry Contest: Kind Ink Sponsored by: Charles Messina

Garden of Happiness

I want to wander through the garden of happiness
Inhale the sweet scent of love
Stroll down the path of kindness
Gaze at the trees of joy swaying above

Meander down to the river of peace
Watch the ripples of compassion flow
Listen to the birds chirping honesty
As the soft wind of humility blows

Truths of Gold

Manna gestures of kindness,
mercy dew
	           distilled
		                 upon
every eye-opening dawn

Silver deeds of love ~ pure fruits of the Spirit
		   bring forth
Truths of gold ... Eternity reigns from above

This poem was inspired
by the talented poetess, Besma Riaba Dziri's
transcendent poem, "Blessings"

Beautiful To Me

you are beautiful
when love flows from your heart
and kindness seeps from your lips

you are beautiful
when you reach inside
to find the best that you can be

you are beautiful
when you connect with the world
around you and bring a sense of awe

you are beautiful
when you are genuine
and with integrity share your soul

yes ~ to me you'll always be beautiful in every way
