Phases of Life

As small children we are wide eyed and innocent,
toddle after Mommy like baby elephants,
go to school to learn with our writing implement,
our parents hoping that we don't act indolent,

As teens upon graduation were confident,
some acting wild while others are reticent,
finding our jobs and falling in love relevant,
some marry while others act more dissident,

When we get old hopefully were still intimate,
thinking back on our lives with heartfelt sentiment,
being nice with people till death is imminent,
eulogy at funeral will be evidence.

Primavera

On this day, the light declares victory
The Sun’s unrelenting march
From its Stygian, icy fortress
Has at last dethroned the indolent dark

The pendulum swings into the black
The metronome ticks maddeningly faster
Life, the sleep sand wiped out of its eyes,
In love again in its giddy mania

Emerald mother unfurls to embrace
The fertile seed of the victorious Sun
A hint of pollen with each breath beckons, as
The world spins dizzyingly towards its fevered peak.

Doves

When angels sing
Love begets love
In fluttering hearts
Of soaring white doves
Praying over predation
Tarrying above indolent blues
Serenity rains calm
In the cumulus of heliocentric views
Harrowed by hate
Beseeched by a crimson dawn
Hope sways on an olive branch
Dangling over civilization’s lawn

The Deadly Seven

Like an indolent sloth I lay effortlessly in my mother's womb

With a cry I floated out into the devilish world of harbouring sins

As a dwarf gluttony kept me in peace and in a happy mode

Wobbling on my toes I showed violent anger at my mother's divided attention

I grew envious at the arrival of little siblings that brooked in all my tension

The joy in my world often corroded as I lusted for love and over possessiveness

Over the years the dwarfed sins grew up into a gigantic pride

After conquering and strapping in my wilful sinister vices

All frustrations burnt down to ashes for a fulfilled life of virtues

Nature of Love

Let me tell you a story ~ As soft climes of pleasure Soothe my heart delightfully Temperate months unfurl Cold winter is evermore remote Setting in motion Days of light and enjoyment Night becomes a curtain call. Indolent twilight Lovers stroll at midnight hour Dawn becomes a benediction As lucent golden rays hover On those who found love Serene in their sleep Unaware of a new day. Rose Bud

Every sign tells me to seize the day,

And to gather my rosebud while I may,

But my rosebud smiles back ever so gay,

And blooms and dances without as much a dismay,

Carefree and indolent in her own special way,

That I stop short in wanting to take her away,

And leave her un-plucked till another day.

But the signs also remind me of the price I'll pay,

Of procrastinating, of not making hay-

The same bud that is smiling today,

And resting peaceful and at bay,

Caressed now by the gentle wind a-sway,

Will soon wither asunder and away!

Sleeping

I meet a woman on the woodland,
sleeping underneath a willow tree.
Her face is serene, that is all I see
while I stroke her indolent hand.

“You will not be roused by the sun,
even the skylark will be hushed
and if your cheeks are flushed
I shall call you spring blossom…”

There I waited all night long
keeping the daylight faraway,
just like I did yesterday:
humming an old nursery song,
strumming slowly her silky hair,
captivated by her face fair.

Incredible

When just you left,I cannot remember.
               I cradled incredible crying moment.
I could not protest, but to surrender.
When just you left! I cannot remember.
How could I know? You were going forever.
               I was confused,just sat indolent.
When? Just you left! I cannot remember.
               I cradled incredible crying moment.

Molasses In January

She’s a tedious lecture after a heavy meal,
A glacier inching coolly toward the sea.
She’s sluggish and poky, a dawdling bore,
A long drawn-out adagio, a passive devotee.
She’s tardy in attendance, and belated, as a rule.
Her lethargic applications lack dispatch.
Her dilatory effort winds the thread around the spool.
Her needlepoint is anything but rash.
Her slothful intervention into indolent affairs
Leaves her anchor dragging in the mud.
But even though she’s running at a laggard’s pace,
I sit here waiting patient, as I should.

ENJOY LIFE

Get a life to enjoy in full,
Propel life on charm, being cool.
        Dynamic active life at best.
On canvas of life, love to paste.
Always prompt, time never to waste.

Grief and joy to come turn by turn
To stay strong life long : Your concern.
Meet challenge of life at each step.
         Overcome troubles not to escape.
Arrange life to get a perfect shape.

Try to explore life on new ventures.
With wobbling heart don’t sit indolent
The right moment always to capture.
To take prompt action, be competent.
Proceed in rapture, not to lament.

Petitioning the divine

Meticulously petitioning the Divine for renascence,
From the trepidation of my solipsistic ways.
A renascence into the sempiternal.
For a moment, I was indolent.
But mercy is not optional,
Love unconditional.
Seeking the Magnanimous One,
The Luminous One renders me numinous.
Promised blessings falling like raindrops,
Sheltered by anointing,
Like Daniel, before whom beasts capitulate,
Like Shadrach, untouched by flame,
Like Job faith unshaken by self-fame,
Oh, my soul bless the Omnipotent name.
