My Hero

She survived the attack
Of the turpentine man
When she was just a kid
He had her pinned
To the ground
She ends up in shock
But it was a hoax
From a young adult
Trying to stop
After school fights
As a teen
She met and danced
With the legendary
James Brown at a
Social event in Augusta, Georgia
As an adult
She marched with Hosea Williams
Head of a civil rights group
She was sprayed with water
And had to run away
From vicious dogs
Years later she met
The lead singer of
R&B group called Brick
And took pictures with
Jimmy Lord Brown
My mom is my hero

Reap the Whirlwind

Hosea 8:7: "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind."

Reap the whirlwind

Let us be careful of our actions
For they betray our thoughts and feelings
If we focus on the darkness
We will do damage instead of healing

If we sow the wind
We will surely reap the whirlwind
The consequences of bad actions
Will always find us in the end

Whatever you believe in
These are constant living rules
For every deed we choose
Will always come back fully

Let us be careful of our actions
Let us be careful of our thinking
Let us focus on the highest good
And allow love and light to twinkle

Love Like Hosea

Would you still buy a used toothbrush?
If a rag doll cries, would you let it hush?
If she struggles willingly, would you let her go?
Would you pick her up, when she at her low?

The infidelity she commited, can she bail?
Would you rather put her in your arms or jail?
How low could you get, to save her downfall?
Will you still chase her, like a cat to a ball?

How far can your patience be stretched?
How can you trust her excuses farfetched?
Are you willing to go back to the start?
Remember the vow of 'til death do us part?
