funny love,
If only I could make my way to Paris
To search the boulevards and rainy rues
I'd look to find my lonely heart an heiress
An Irish lass vacationing her muse
We'd find a quiet cafe' on the Seine
Where we could sit and share a laugh or two
By candlelight we'd toast with French champagne
Pretend that we were on our honeymoon
But how could I convince her I'm the one
To make all of her fantasies come true
She knows there's more to life than having fun
In Paris hearts get easily confused
I'd get down on one knee under the stars
Give her the paper ring off my cigar

marriage, romance, travel, vacation,
A gondola floats o’er romantic tides
as you and I caress Venetian skies
laced deftly in exalted stars applied
by brushes dipped in hues of lover’s eyes.
A kiss beneath Rialto Bridge in spring
feels like our first so many years ago.
On every breeze, O Sole Mio sings
a serenade in city lights aglow.
This hope of love rekindled miles from home,
could be our chance to dream and reminisce.
Enlightened by a full moon’s wink, we’d roam
down Grand Canal in gleaming nights of bliss.
Our renaissance, a second honeymoon -
to Venice, we could not escape too soon.

happiness,
When I close my eyes...and I see the night
Sometimes things...appear so bright
Smiling cheeks...and happy faces
Sunshine ~ Beautiful places
Ocean waves ~ Blowing willows
Babies snuggled in their pillows
Old men rowing in their boats
Youngsters passing, love you...notes
Happy women in sweet perfume
Newlyweds...on honeymoon
Chipmunks playing in the sun
Children running...having fun
When I open my eyes...and I see the day
Sometimes things...don't look that way
So let me close my eyes...tonight
And all I see, I'll see...just right

warmly on the right side of love
Holding you precious the gasp within
one kiss chocolate melting taste buds
Lost in a dream embracing you my Queen
Sets a twilight sky on fire
burning deeply warm starlight
Dawning this night
I live only for you
without saying goodbye
Your heavenly touch lovingly whispers are melodious
A most cherished feeling powers emotions
when your lips kiss sweetly lands softly perfect
Tomorrow's a new adventure in our honeymoon secret meetings place

but the depths release their seamonsters
reflected in the honeymoon, between palms

how i feel, love,
Sailing on endless seas
Lost to broken promises
Floating coast to coast
Captured by east and west
Rusting to shattered anchor
Rescued by time to hoister
Two hearts floating forever
In life, each other's lover
An elaborate tombstone
Of coral reef and limestone
When love was romantic
And being in love - fantastic
When a first kiss was poetic
We haunted the Atlantic
On our waves goodbye
Swem and learned to fly
A honeymoon married to the sea
On the skeleton coast's memory

I dreamt of your embrace, my love
In the moonlight by the sea
We sailed away just you and me
Protected by the clair de lune
A million stars on honeymoon
Enlaced we pledged fidelity
Our hearts teeming with intensity
The moon our witness for eternity

I’ll keep shining down with each breath you take.
May I blaze in your dreams before you awake.
And softly I’ll whisper, “Keep sleeping, my dear.”
Your faithful beloved, I’ll always be here.

Nida and Nazim, the newlyweds noticed the newmoon.
A big brown bat banished them from boon.
The hubby and wife headed back inside for their honeymoon.
The mystery of night brought them out again
Together in love nothing could scare them for long
Nocturnal sounds added to their curiosity
As they explored each other in passion's song

funny, marriage, vacation,
Just a honeymoon beach vacation,
a fine nuptial love celebration;
we arrived a night early,
we would find hotel surely:
“No rooms” was the sad proclamation.
“An hour away you might find one.”
They were right for we only found…NONE!!
We got off beaten path.
too tired then to laugh,
looked for a place “mom and pop” run.
Well, it must have been close to midnight,
exhausted the lady and her knight;
we found Motel Warwick,
a guest house illicit,
and christened our honeymoon site.

On an island of love, side by side,
strolled Ron and his beautiful bride.
So like heaven it seemed,
the two of them deemed
that to be there, they both must have died!
“Are we possibly dreaming?” they said.
“If we’re dreaming, we really aren’t dead!”
Upon saying this rhyme
at the very same time,
they awoke in their very own bed!
“So in synche with our dreams we have been,”
Ron said to his wife with a grin,
“We need never leave home.
Make our next stop be Rome.
Close your eyes, dear; let’s DO IT again!”

================================
Dancing to music only she hears,
she waits for him against the wall.
He finally shows as midnight nears,
but she's obliged he came at all.
She spends her weekends in his car,
dancing to music only she hears.
A butterfly caught in a jar...
pinned when the vodka disappears.
Her honeymoon is spent in tears,
her husband, drunk, sleeps like a stone.
Dancing to music only she hears
that night, she sips champagne alone.
Yet in her mind, a kinder song
plays on and finds her through the years,
(though he will never sing along)
...dancing to music only she hears.

funny love,
When we got married at twenty two
We said our vows beside a ski-doo
But then got marooned
So we honeymooned
In a five star, two story igloo
My wife said a stiff drink would be nice
But I couldn’t locate any ice
So I stripped to get numb-er
Then asked for a hummer
Hoping that my iced cubes would suffice

celebration, happiness, love, romantic,
On a ship so white with skies of blue,
we sailed on seas calm and true.
The music played with a reggae sound,
and everyone danced around.
As the island came into sight,
we both smiled with such delight.
White limestone roofs, royal palms tall,
pink sandy beaches covered it all.
The memories will last a lifetime through,
until we can sail again on the ocean blue.
