Valentine Ellip

In your eyes I can find no disguise I can see in those eyes honesty You’re the one who by day is my sun From your glow I can feel your love flow Moon by night your light is my delight Like a quake is the love that we make Earth shatters and nothing else matters Sweet release In its wake I find peace Sleep, my dear When you wake I’ll be here Valentine I’m so glad you are mine Written FEb. 28, 2016 for the Valentine's Ellip Contest of Gigno

Reflection

As the sun begins to set and it's final rays slowly dance across this golden pond I silently stare into her reflection staring back at me past the old and the weathered ripples down beneath the surface into the soul the deep and loving soul the memories bubble out memories of kindness and love honesty and humility and memories of you how I'd do anything for you for us I stand here in silence and dream

Distant Love

     Oh, love from a distance
     Such passion is mine
     I never thought possible
     An ocean's deep mystery line

     Soulmate's hearts beat as one
     From only the written word
Openness, honesty, is all it takes
     World history, such passion unheard

Her beauty astounding, angel in disguise
Jealous Kings of Europe would have fought war
Her kindness and humor melt coldest hearts
Brilliant and creative too, she makes my heart soar

My distant soulmate, who I may never meet
Shared love from a distance, a powerful, magical feat

All I Am

For My Timothy Lee

With trust in my eyes I offer my soft side Where you safely abide. With honesty in my voice I share my naked truth Where you freely run loose. With a focused brain I grant my best logic Where you filter conflict. With gentleness in my touch I give my tender care Where you shatter despair. With anticipation on my skin I surrender my body Where you make grand glory. With everything I am I promise you my heart Where you are the best part.

Garden Of Happiness

I want to wander through the garden of happiness
Inhale the sweet scent of love
Stroll down the path of kindness
Gaze at the trees of joy swaying above

Meander down to the river of peace
Watch the ripples of compassion flow
Listen to the birds chirping honesty
As the soft wind of humility blows

Write What You Know

Write what you know
Write what you love
Invent a new world
Invent words
Be silly
Play

Write what you see
Write what bothers you
Write what amuses you
Invent a new persona
Let the words dance
Sing them home

Poetry does not have to be fancy
Poetry does not have to be frilly
Be truthful
Heartfelt honesty sells
People love it
Write what you know

The Bruised and Rotting Pear

Certain moments make this all worthwhile

'Random' presets left but to defile

Blink your eyes to see the flash of white

Blink once more to gain a different sight

Milliseconds gazing at the stars

In which I understood you as you are

And in that time the notion came to me

A sigh of love bled out of honesty

The story of a bruised and rotting pear

That learned to dance on wind and open air

Fool's Gold

I keep in mind, what I want a true friend to be.
Someone who proves they are loyal to me

To know that honesty, is part of who they are.
They will travel life's journey with you, no matter how far.

They see you, the real you, the bad and the good,
They know what you are all about, it's understood.

A heart of pure gold, is what you hope to find.
Not an imposter, or the "fool's gold" kind.

Touching

Can i ask
a question love smiling
in all honesty
are you real
or has it all been me dreaming
because you're lighting up all the space
residing inside my thoughts

You're beautiful smile
is driving me crazy wishing
that I could kiss you
upon the lips
my dream delight

Or could it be possible
that I am a fallen angel
as you touch me with your grace
healing a miracle
at the hands of love

Would You Be My Concubine?

I've asked this of many women,
And get strange looks towards my way,
And in all honesty,
I think I ought to say,
What the hell is a concubine??
Is it an imprisoned porcupine?
I just don't really know,
But, ask it I do, often,
With results too easy to show,
That's not a healthy rosy cheek,
But face-slaps I seem to seek,
Stings like all hell,
Oh, what, by God, do tell...
What the hell am I saying aloud,
And why does it leave me less than proud?

Gotta' get me one'a dem fancy dik-shun-arees
Else I be beaten down to my knees..........

-Spoon-feed them-

What is spoon-feed?
Feeding our thoughts
Sincerity, Honesty and Truth
Called Constructive Criticism

Striving to be at our best
Helping because of love
Care
Understanding

Motivated to Construct
Mistakes, Errors, Faults
It is okay
We are not perfect

Why use hell
Instead of Condemned?
Hell is Bulls Eye
Exact place when condemned

Light It Up

It’s funny how light
From a source
Can reach across many miles,
Through time even.
That, too, can be said
For bonds or friendship.
Age has no bearing
Sex has no bearing
Distance has no bearing
Just the honesty,
The respect and love
Has bearing on how far
A friendship can go.
Let friendship be light
Never to be extinguished
By thought, but be perpetuated
By natural resonance.

Who do you think you are?!?

You use your tears like money,

Each one paying for another excuse ...

       Lies dripping with feigned empathy,

                     And staining honesty like blood.

Yet these briny drops fall to me,

Pressed between our empty pages ...

Like a dried rose once given in love, cherished,

Now, left to wither ... thorns and all.

Forever And A Dream

Forever hold these words I say,
let them sleep your heart so deep.
Be you constant at my side, let
not emotions or feelings hide. Be
my conscience of desire, be the
beating of this heart. Let the days
be forever long, the evenings soft
and nights alluring. Let us be in
rhyme with love, sate ourselves
of skins sweet glow, pass the kiss
in honesty, and to the heart bliss
bestow. Take these words, take
them deep, for in my soul you
shall sleep. Forever and a dream
you shall always be.

As He Sleeps

I was a fool
To believe that you loved me
To fall for that cosmic joke
As if I didn't know the punch line
Now as I watch you sleep
Your face has changed
This moment gives birth
To doubt and despair
And I search your face
To find a glimpse
Of the source of my devotion
But no sign of love remains
Clarity offers revelation
I am alone after all
Oddly comforting, though
The honesty of truth

Love... Love... Love.

Love... Love... Love.

Games
can
kill love.
Honesty
with the ones you love
tests the strength of their love for you.

Ever Lasting Love

Since you’ve come into my life everything has been so new.
I never thought I had it in me to love another the way I love you.
You’ve opened my eyes and given me what I desire.
That’s why when I see your precious face its sets my soul on fire.
Doubts lead to patience which lead to understanding.
At times we both can be so damn demanding.
Tears meet with fears.
Battles with severe emotions.
Which clearly showed how much we’ve devoted.
My heart yearns your attention and affection.
Take one look and there’s your reflection.
Living without you is impossible and so unreal.
Loyalty, honesty, and sacrifice seals the deal.

Secrets

A whisper
A look
A touch
A note

Get you thinking about what you dread the most

Trust
Honesty
Friendship
Hope

Keep you praying its all in your head
you change your mind when you think about whats not been said
Hes out again, you just ignore what u dread..

love is a circle one to never end
until its broken beyond mend,

time is a gift dont waste it on doubt
open up your heart but dont leave your mind out

dont let him do what you feared the most
your a keeper not just lovers host.

We Imagine Who We Want

projecting our wanting love self
we imagine who we want
seeing our forever soul partner
fashioning them out of smoke
sagely ignoring reflective honesty mirrors

throwing ideas that do not fit
into a hot fiery furnace
ignoring the cries of reality
turning our backside to ashes
crucifying truths that don’t fit

projecting our wanting love needs
we envision an ideal life
with scoundrels who hurt us
expecting a revelation to turn
them into our prince charming

throwing away family and feelings
into wide crevices and ditches
turning our backs on screams
inside our heart that die
with unseen truths in mirrors

WHY MY HEART

Why?

Why, my heart, you

Perpetually, are yearning to:

See the unseen

Hear the unheard

Feel the unfelt

Touch the untouchable

Attain the unattainable

Believe the unbelievable

Think the unthinkable

Conceive the inconceivable

Know the unknowable

Appreciate the inappreciable

Express the inexpressible

When,

No other heart would ever be able

To understand the purity of

Your language,

Your honesty, and

Your aspirations

Unless

It is totally submerged,

Into

Love's divine depths?

Lips Of Honesty

From you I do not hide
the fragile, feral man inside,
in your grace I do confide
crown and pride I put aside,

For in your breath love is true
upon your breasts my eyes burn blue,
a face pure as youth I see in you
in our kiss the divine comes through,

I take you with me through the day
into the wild and amongst the fray,
within my heart you will stay
you are my strength all the way...

I Love You

The most precious of words are these three
When emotions demand honesty
Not said to control
Not meant to cajole
At least not when spoken to thee
