- You Know What I Mean When I Say Homesick -

A child is born
  a little life it's a miracle
  Death is nothing to fear
  but feels like
  autumn leaves on cold snow

  Brothers
  is not
  like night and day
  or
  the sun and the moon
  They are seeds from
  life and love

  Sisters
  is like
  flowers
  with different fragrance
  and color
  But they have the roots
  from the same garden

  Family
  several generations
  their lives together
  complicated
  or uncomplicated
  Grandmother's garden ...
  with homesickness

  Life reflects
  and caught the light,
  radiance and hope
  in old memories

I Don'T Want To Leave My Home

Nurses and Doctors; say, "Your too sick to go Home"
"An apartment with a desk; write a Homesick Poem"
" What do you possibly see in that mountain top cabin?"

I see the Earth in a different perspective than You
Landscapes of Beauty, spread wings of the Bald Eagle
Peaceful tranquility nature's creatures walk right up to You

The Firmament, so close, Heavens Flowers, You can smell
Reach up, caress a white silky cloud in a soporiferous spell
During hunting season I see an albino buck munching apples in my backyard

                                         To be Cont.

Sleep In Her Soul

It's easy to become lost in the idea that only things in life change you;
rather than you are always changing in your creation.
When you look at demons in the haze, marvel at the haze.
Demons are feeling homesick.

Be true to everything you are and thrive on.
We all have demons, it's up to you on what to do with those demons.
The most dangerous are the ones unknown.
She is herself. A beautiful demon; not hidden behind a shadow.

Her magic is infested in my desire.
She is beautiful for I can unravel her thoughts.
She expresses to me the words intertwined with my ambiguity.
Riddled with love; I sleep in her soul.

She is my butterfly in our cosmic cannibalism.

Sweet Island Girl

Early morn
Birds still sleep
Crickets warm
Not a peep
Coffee in hand
Dreams are free
Thinking of you
Thinking of me
Last night's prayer
Has made it here
Rain soaked skies
Begin to clear
And what I see
On distant shore
Sweet Island girl
I long for more
Hear your heart
We are in tune
I love you so
I'm coming soon

~Lyric Man

Note: This is a write about being homesick for one you love and kind of hoping their homesick too.

Homesick Excuses From a Child

HOMESICK EXCUSES

So sorry…..
I can’t spend the night--
Would give my daddy jitter fright.
My mother would not sleep at all,
If I don’t kill bugs as they crawl.

If I ‘m not there to scrub the sink,
Neither one would sleep a wink.
I can’t spend the night---
Nightmares will chase them left to right.
If I don’t stay with mom and dad,
Who’ll keep my dog from getting sad?

I can’t spend the night.
I would like to,
But isn’t right.
Must tuck my daddy safe in bed,
Listen to the prayers he’s said.
Kiss my mother on her face--
So she knows I’m in my place.

I would love to stay with you,
But my parents need me too!

Streaming Video: Beam Up My Loved Ones

For time, space cannot the opportunity squander
With streaming video distant love grows much fonder
Magnetic beams glint through the wild blue yonder
Grainy, jittery images oft-forsaken hearts to ponder
Air waves blipping images through bleary transponder
Eerie prescience of the whole, but piecemeal shapes do launder
Irony, modern technology, 1930's Spanish cinema does corresponder
Crouching, girdled with adrenalin of a First Responder
Matted wigs, flat toupees across streaking screen wander
Silky-brunette locks dimmer; brown bangs look blonder
Shadows in a swirling blender, to homesick minds a bonder
Stealing a few precious minutes, then with love absconder

Homesick

I'm homesick for places I have never been
Homesick for a being I have never had
I'm homesick for food I have never tasted
Homesick for moods I never have experienced
Homesick for knowledge I never learnt.
I'm homesick for my old self.

Nostalgia

Nostalgia’s a painful affair.
Homesick for what is not there.
Look round and view
What’s nearer to you.
Out with the past,I declare.

Still if we have memories then may
It be that they have something to say?
Look them straight in eye
But do not defy…
They’re from God. so kneel now and pray.

For it is God we are nostalgic for
He has lost the post-modernist’s war.
Yet he’s here in a leaf
Showing the truth.
The mystery, the myth and the lore.

Homesick Rimas Dissolutas

Holding tight to this confession;
Love is a poison, maddening;
Soft words ignite like a matchstick,
my cocoon explodes in wildfire;

Exhale now your heart’s expression;
Gravity’s heavy;  burdening;
The weight of a smile’s hard to kick;
Sticky situation is dire;

You are so right now I’m homesick;
Lifted, baby take me higher.

Homesickness

I experience homesickness
When I am away,
It hurts when I
Have to go
But I know that
Home will never leave
And I will always
Be able to return
With open arms
I feel terrible,
After being apart
For a long while
And I just want
To run to home again
And never have
To leave anymore
I want to stay
And be at home,
Comfortable and nice
In perfect leisure
But life pulls me
Out to do things
That I would rather not,
I’d rather never leave
You, my home, my beloved,
My person I love so
You are my home
That I never want to leave
So will you stay with me
So I never feel
Homesick evermore?

To Marie

I’d like to say I made this coin
With hands quite full of thought
This is not quite right you know
But let’s not think it nougth.

These thoughts include a lot of love
And wishes to come true
Hugs and kisses in abundance
Lots of friendship too.

If your lonely or feeling sad,
Homesick maybe or just bad
Open your purse and there I am:-
Waving, smiling, sending you love.

Farewell Cp

O, you left without us saying farewell
I know you meant no discourtesy, dear
You were just so eager to go. Each cell
Of your being was homesick being here
Each hour was filled with a longing to know
For we did not just from nothing appeared
But from a veil beyond time came to show
Love's omnipresence in his word declared
I know your dust sleep still where you were laid
And your flesh awaits the sweet trumpet's sound
But the being that's your spirit just wade
Up to heaven and I on Sinai's ground
Still wanders around. I love you, miss you
But will not cry, just long for my city
And the good company. Old loves made new
Farewell then, see you again in glory.

Homesick

Although I live here,
it seems like hell here.

No one to wake me in the morning,
I must face the day in mourning.

The love of my life is gone,
wondering where we went wrong.

Is it forever? I always ask myself,
For I love you and no one else.

Each second of every day,
I want to break down and pray,
That the almighty will hear me,
And you will not desert me.

I'm homesick in my own home,
because I am all alone.

I know for the most part I'm at fault,
Trying to open my heart, an impenetrable vault.

To tell you my thoughts day by day,
Hoping I can hold you forever someday.

Stay Home

Painted up with that color I love,
baited with a pair of blue shutters;
Fated to call this vacant dwelling,
sacred shelter with just four letters;

Replay of a riff from the back porch,
a taste of that song got me homesick;
Betray my gypsy heart for a dream?
‘Stay, this is home.’ the seductive lyric.
