Imagine That

If there was no crime
No hurry for time
No genocide
No homicide
If there was no mothers burying their sons
If mankind didn't invent guns
If schools still had prayer
If everybody recognize Jesus Christ as our savior
If there was love and respect
No hate between white and black
No homeless
No loneliness
No wars
No rich or poor
No accidents or disasters
If man only served one master (God)
Imagining is good for all it's worth
Heaven is definitely not planet earth

The Sound of Peace

Simple sounds
The birds of love
Nature’s call, so wild and free
               Echoed in the skies above
                       Symphonies made just for me

Simple sounds
The cricket’s dance
         Senses frolic to and fro
               Entertaining nature’s trance
                               Contemplating all I know

Simple sounds
A heart that beats
Searching for a love to share
Life that flows when hope retreats
                                 Listen for it everywhere

Simple sounds
The guns of war
But for hate meant to release
                    Rat-a-tat, he is no more
Silence is the sound of peace

James Bond the Poet

Double oh Sevens
The gamble of dangerous men
Poets who carry guns
To shoot out the hearts
Of unsuspecting ladies
A single word, a bullet
That can wound or kill the love
Of any careless romance
Yet they fall at the feet
Of mystery and sweet words
And later in the evening
Tears flow from ladies of sadness
Left alone among the sheets of love
The Spy, he could save the world
Yet save not one single love
He grew old and alone
His last thought among the living
I die a lover, and never felt love

Guns and Roses

Guns and Roses

They sing their songs
for those who drop bombs
we know very well for who
are the guns
Zionists who kill for pleasure and fun

They hold no rose for humanity
in name only
they sing for rape and death
and a babies last breath
their roses dead, their guns ablaze

The flower of love
the flower against oppression
the flower of life
amongst the Olive trees
the Hannoun blooms, even where evil lurks

More

10/9/17

More houses
More boundless

More guns
More funds

More drugs
More plugs

More liquor
More, get the picture?

More logic
More and more profit

More of that
More A.S.A.P.

More gas
More cash

More in my glass
More before I pass

More wax
More racks

More in my cup
More of that stuff

More tabs
More dabs

More jars
More cars
More bars

More decks of cards
More yards

More of living large
More of taking charge

More paths being carved
More firearms

More tools
More jewels

More shoes
More booze

More clothes
More homes

More love
More of all of the above

Refugees Matter

Hopes of happiness,
Laughter,
Turn into darkness and fear.
Screaming,
Shouting,
A spray of despair.
Tugged in my heart,
Ripping out my hair.
Nowhere to turn,
Nowhere to hide,
So much is going on,
Looking around,
Eyes filled with horror,
My country is falling apart,
Guns shooting,
Rebellious,
Tears of sadness,
Dropping down my cheek.
Gone are the dreams,
The hopes of joy,
Because of this war.
This war,
This destruction,
This tragic fate.
Where is the love,
The kindness,
The care,
For refugees?

Moral Suasion

Fathers-in-spirit do not teach your congregations
Suicide, massacre, fallacy, bombs, and guns
But facts, piety, love, and peaceful co-existence.

Fathers-in-flesh do not teach your young ones
Neglect, war, begging, rum, and abortions
But care, peace, jobs, juice, and obedience.

Fathers-in-power do not inflate elections
Accumulate billions, dictate the pace, and obliterate our positions
But listen, agree, and act to what is being said by the Audience

Father-in-heaven allow our pleas to act in turns
For you are a witness to these burns
As we shall use these as lessons and evidence.

Hum a Little Moonbee Tune

I bet moonbees sting
And zap when they zing
I'll wager it's true
They love flowers too...

In hot Texas heat
At high-noon we meet
She guns me down cold
With bullets of gold

To a Veteran

Thank you for your faith
In the country you so love
That you’d offer up your life
In a cataclysmic strife.
Thank you for your courage
Although you shook inside.
You did all that was needed
No matter what the price.
The noise of guns and mortar
Convulsed the fetid air
You saw beloved comrades
Lie bleeding at your side.
You suffered pain and conflict
When required to kill another
Against what you’d been taught,
To love, not hate, your brother.
We call you strong and brave,
And admire your fortitude.
But the toll that it has taken
Is in your mind and soul.
To kill for love of country
And the freedoms we possess
Takes strength we can’t imagine
And thanks are not enough.

Exposure

Abreast in tank top

Seeds deflower battle myths

Red lace lingerie

Under shadow of turret

Flowing combat above doubt

Garland of poppies

Sword unsheathed for wild conquest

Guns orange roses

Heavy metal for comfort

White flag intimate cover

Make love and not war

Coronet for a bouquet

Tiara of peace

Sweet surrender in motion

Wreaths for a renegade cause

Traditionally a tanka does not have a title, but I have to give one to submit the

poem. I hope that Exposure enhances more than it may distract.

Pagkamakabayan: Patriotism

'Tis intangible
Unlike the spears and the guns
Of the daughters and the sons
Unconquerable
But partly they symbolize
Its abstraction ere our eyes

The time has passed by
And the world has also turned
From chaos into concord
Now we say goodbye
To old discrimination
Racism and commotion

There's a new picture
That appropriately depicts
Our genuine love and respect
For our own culture --
Raising our right hand to pledge
And doing our job with badge

Listen To the Children

We are all immigrants
We all have temporary residence here
This land is ours and theirs, yours and mine
We are humanity, stronger joined than apart
Never turn your back on a hungry child
You may be in the right
Lacking compassion
Makes you wrong
The disciples were scolded
Let the children come unto me he said
Life is filled with hardships, yes we all have suffered
So let your suffering hold some merit
Lay down your guns and loud voices
If only for the children
If you dance and celebrate for them
They shall lead you on to peace on earth

Note: A famous person once said "When they love their children, more than they hate us, we shall have peace"

Daddy's Guns

I love guns and I have plenty.
When Daddy passed he had near twenty

He kept them locked in the safe I built,
Loaded and ready with no blood spilt.

For him a gun was a precision tool,
Not to be handled by just any fool.

He taught us all how to use a gun.
Took us to hunt and we sure had fun.

The day before my Daddy died,
He called us each to his bed side

And gave us guns from his collection.
He knew we needed no direction.

We keep them cleaned and polished each
Remembering his final speech.

"Care for this and when you die,
Give it to your son - please try -

Make sure he knows its proper use.
Take it now - and don't refuse."

Mother Land Cry

My love for you became ephemeral
My eyes now moist with tears
The flowers on gardens-are dry now
The annihilation i cannot face

I scream for peace and joy among my people
They paid keen attention-I wish
The guns-the murders- i heard their cries
Their lives stood on melting ice

My people fight my people
Who put labels on their faces
The racism, the sexism
Hiding under party hats

Now i'm tired
Should i sleep, or should i die
I pray that god brings solace to my heart
So i can survive, the plight of my land

We Will Not Comply

We Will Not Comply

I never thought I’d live to see the day
When children would be taught that God is dead,
The flag we love, someone would take away,
Or leaders in corruption share a bed.

It matters not to me who ridicules;
I am American, I will rebel.
I’ll keep my God, my guns, my right to use
Free speech the truth to tell.

We never thought to live in tyranny—
Just to stand for truth could mean your life;
We need to recognize we are not free—
We will not save our country without strife.

Will we rise and claim our liberty
Or take the lies and bow to slavery?

Fighting Spirit

Did You not place inside me a spirit to fight
A power in my soul to defend what is right
They come against me with all their guns
My flesh may be afraid and want to run
That’s when I reach down deep inside
What is inside of me I cannot hide
The truth You place in my heart
The one thing that sets me apart
From a world of darkness and deceit
Your love, Your light makes me complete
And gives me a purpose to stay strong
Get me past this struggle, this I long
Transform me and bring me through
Help me to keep my eyes fixed on You

War

War today is all around
The four winds carry its awful sound
And people fight people so more men die
My only question is just why?

They have a war on terror and a war on drugs
A war on peace and even on love
And mans obsession with killing his fellow man
Is out of control all over this land

As we point our guns at our neighbour's land
Are we really so different or just like lines in the sand
Lines that shift and disappear over time
were not lines were people thats why i write this rhyme

Let's Make Our World a Better Place

Let's drop our guns,
and share soda cans.

Let's end terrorism
with stopping religious criticism.

Let's write stories
that embrace minorities.

Let's read books
that drop negative racial looks.

Let's stop poaching,
by doing soul-searching.

Let's protect our environment,
even without the government.

Let’s recycle our ammunitions,
and sell them to start charitable foundations.

Let’s stop our grudges,
and build our bridges…..

Let’s stop being even,
and make this world a Heaven!

Help me to make all this happen,
beginning with paper and pen…..

Drums of Peace

Are the drums of peace really beating?
But there is no peace coming.
Look around you across the world
Bombs, missiles and guns fired all in line

Come and see the blood on the streets
Our fellow humans having no clothes, bed or even a sheet
A 4 year old is crying, his mother dead
Hiding under some debris is a little girl, scared

Why, I wonder, do you kill?
And make others live on the pill?
Don’t you have people you love a family?
Then why do you make others suffer daily?

Let everyone live in peace,
Be friends with others; hug and kiss
Stop the war, I say,
Oh God! Make them stop the war, I pray

Bonnie and Clyde

A happy ending was never written about two villains
They’ve dug two graves for us
In the ground, we’ll rot until we disappear
Life is too short to keep living in fear
Stop fighting this my dear
I already told you our end is near

Can’t you see that it’s us against the demons we fight?
Bonnie and Clyde with guns strapped to our thighs
Red and blue sirens are calling our names
We won’t stop until this world is in flames

We’re fighting for our sanity while saving each other
Our dreams used to be in color but even there we now suffer
Hell is the only place we can be with each other
I hope you’ve said your goodbyes to your brothers and mother

Two Shooter

I'll tell you this first, guns are my curse
I was dealt Ace's and watched all their faces
Looked around and called all in
Everyone folded, but Buckshot just grinned

He moved up his stack, with a loud crack
I just love playing a maniac
I drew two cards to make him think
He drew one card and took a drink

I reached for my boot, got my Two Shooter
Buckshot flipped over his eight outer
My Ace's won, as he went for his gun
I told him "Son, you make winning fun"

I filled my boot with money as Buckshot stood up
Could have been any outcome with my sad luck
He yelled "Eat lead you no good low down cheat"
I shot him dead with that Two Shooter in my sleeve

Gunpowder

The frozen flowers are being painted
by an unknown painter.
The butterflies are looking for gunpowder
in the winter
to burn themselves,
to burn these beautiful frozen flowers.

A Chaotic Circle with the power,
with the guns and gunpowder;
It confines everything except stars.
I want to brake these bars!

Without love our only chance is a miracle.
Can we save the butterflies
from this vicious circle?
Can we change the smell of gunpowder?
Can we change the world?

Human Story

When guns become toys
And innocence stolen,
When violence is a big joy
And kindness forgotten,
The tears will be very warm.

When money controls minds
No charity and no mercy,
When souls become blind
Not feeling Eternity,
The prayers will be very loud.

When love is only physical
And hearts like stones,
When the sky becomes unusual
And nature forever gone,
The story…… must be told.
