Holly

As she walked across the sand,
receding waves made graffiti
out of the footsteps of a Valkyrie.
An ocean’s city let go of her hand
as we passed under a tree –
her hair like the gold of Valhalla’s marquee.
It was there, in another god’s hall,
the raven flew under a ceiling of shields,
and her grace lived in every swan.
It was then, when I first met need,
thirsting for wine but settling for mead.
Baldr’s death carved into a stone wall
moved me west to the mistletoe.
Her face held by another, his fingers
the lightening that tore open the skies
and bled the blue into her eyes.
My first loss and left out of place,
to learn what can’t be taught.

Pinky Swear

i followed you along the silent train tracks
in the dark cold rain
stepping on photographs of sunshine
watching the world wash away the graffiti of possibility
cause you promised
you pinky swore
that we are a heartbeat away from love
that we are in the way of knowin what the heart dreams
i followed you into the winters night with romance on my mind
you never told me that i would have to leave it all behind
i still believe we will find love
still believe because
you promised
you pinky swore...

The Writings On the Walls

Sketches of coal, burning pitch black
enigmas emanate from each mark;
Foll’wing trails on, getting back on track,
laid and torn ‘part, lone in the dark.

Graffiti of different crime,
something that you cannot define.
Each occurrence does not, at all, rhyme
like the foul curse which to you binds,

another day, another night,
all endless to a silent whisper
and a muted scream taking a bite
little by little, it's getting closer.

In the last hour, desperation,
do you dare speak of the impossible,
pouring out what’s based on emotion
within the writings on the wall?

In My Heart

17/11/2013

First time we met
I couldn't believe that you were real
When you smiled at me
In my mind you've left a trail

On the first date
It was my hand sweating in frail
You looked gorgeous
You were a perfect appeal
I played it cool
But inside, your name I hailed

Two years later
In a marriage we're tied together
In my heart,
You've started to engrave
A graffiti said 'I'll love you forever'

Pretty defaced message
Spray paint tired

Subjugated love

Under a Red and Rainless Sky

Unearth me,
sift my confusion through your eyes,
dilute my anger with the moist of your lips;
graffiti my skin with prayers of trust;
grind my fear into a fine dust—
wrap me in the quilt of your ragged lullaby,
and bring me to life under a red and rainless sky.

Like Graffiti

Rather than but like
graffiti it is

this life, this love
out there yet hidden

in the art form
out of mind

caricatured remnants
of moments past

the sniff of glue, enamel vapour
the splatter of it

on the backdrop of imagination
reality forms

Like Graffiti

True love begins in a dark paradise
	Filled with graffiti
And Diet Coke,
Wearing a Three Dimension sunglasses
	Against the white screen
Swallow popcorn in a summertime
	Stormy rain.

Juliet With No Romeo

She looks at him like he lights up her world
But he just thinks she is only pretty
He rejects the worlds she uses to swirl
He trashes her heart and paints graffiti

She could not turn him into poetry
And she could not make him simply love her
Her love was grand like a sequoia tree
But his love was barely a small whisper

Gave up her life to things that made her cry
A small bottle of wine and medicine
Made her blood and stomach acidify
And all that was left was a skeleton

To think of all the sad streets he passed by

And so not for a moment did he cry.

Graffiti On a Train

You know, I've seen parts of you that I'll never see again, Like graffiti on a train.

Fleeting and mysterious entendres of myself embedded in you make it so hard for me to love them.

So hard to understand them, they just come and go.

I make haste to find beauty in the art that just passes by as we live through each other at the highest levels of bliss. And then its gone.

Every other time it's a different place, different train, with different art pieces. for some, none at all.

But what are my chances of seeing yours again? The parts of you that I saw in me...

Night In the City

With a sprightly gait and a bag full of dreams
I confront this concrete jungle, uncharted as it seems
Like a maiden with a sparkle in her eyes
Luring with beautiful lies
A smile, giving light to darkening skies
A cheeriness that utter strife belies

Neon lights, head lights, street lights, city lights
In broad night light, who needs a flash light?
Being here, it feels right
Find love, I just might
Blurry yet so bright
Fleeting, soon it takes flight

Like a graffiti of colours
Brilliant and belligerent
Lights dancing at night hours
Radiant and iridescent
By music in the moonlight, I am happily greeted
A breezy tranquility, sonorously interrupted

American Graffiti

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Iniquities vertical archways traversing twilights retro
Drafted abysmal shadows aneath the roses; gethsemanes inquisition
Coloured acrylic murals in acidic transcending medievils
Vague ambulant abstract mystique....
Embellished cerium charcoals as that of gothics in vitro, masque
Achromatic architectural envisioned designs; gomorrahs evanescence
Holistic gargoyles of the black plagues overture amid
Nefarious nepenthes, garden of eden....
The Pleasant Racket
That cheese and apple affect,
chaotic yells for morning
revolutionised
by the simple cup of tea.
With smiling echo's in grim passageways
of graffiti laughs,
concrete surfs
and chewing gums dalmatian.
Rackets of rain
like falling rivers
are the singing shouts of
ambient joy.
Imminent, Dismal
repitious symphathy bracing graffiti upon the walls i animate
elegiac words morphing into their stark existance
inanimate figures peel away to shade the world gray
their vows spoken through echoes of blood screaming out my eulogy
reiterating their prevarications which induce the opaque starlight
the contours emit a reflection deceiving the effigy
singing vacant pantomime to the adorn imperfect perfections
Numbers Poem 3
Between the glossy panels of my mind
Thoughts of love children
Puking inside their mother’s wombs
Travel back and forth and back and forth.
What makes you think it is alright to discard my
Mental capabilities as trifle
Emotional walls which you would rather stray
Graffiti paint on to camouflage as curtains
of the bedroom the night before and after a hot spell?
Stolen Love (Cinquain Garland)
Unfit
chambers littered
with memories of theives
that Trust invited to come in
my heart.
Rustic
quarters exposed,
no pomp, no flash, no glitz
just safe comfort to nestle in
alone.
Now walls
stand bare and cold
inside my empty heart
What value has love in pockets
of theives?
Condemned,
my haven has
become a prison cell,
graffiti memories still stain
the walls.
Behind
boarded windows,
and locked doors I sit
confused, shivering while theives haunt
my soul.
Unfit
quarters exposed
inside my empty heart.
Graffiti memories still stain
my soul.
Dead Mouth
Write it on the window,
in big bold letters.
Write it on the wall,
in wet black ink.
Spray it on the overpass,
in bright green graffiti.
Write it with your finger,
on an empty desk
.
Yell it loud when you're mad,
tell it when it suits you best.
Spread it thoroughly when you're depressed.
Laugh when its mentioned,
whisper it to the listening wind,
pray it to the unhearing gods,
throw it for the dog to catch,
nail it to a wall and frame it,
eat it when you're hungry,
write it on the back of your hand,
scribble it on a blank page in your notebook,
lick it on your strawberry sucker,
just never forget it's there.
Absent Stars
My
heart hit
the wall like
graffiti spray.
I'm a work of art, majestic as night,
but they only see that I'm not daylight.
Today my stars
are absent
as the
day.
