Little girl, how you glow,
How much love you have, your never truly know.
As your godmother I promise, I will always help you grow,
Forever by your side,
That’s all you need to know.
My love with never dwindle,
My feelings will only grow,
For I promise you my little princess,
I will never let you go.
Spread your wings in this wide world, and follow all your dreams,
As this my darling is your time to really set them free.

I shall never fall in love with one who left her glass shoe
Neither will I ask your hand just when the poisoned apple unchoke you.
Never will I dare marry one who in ages has been sleeping
Nor elope with a looong-haired damsel prisoned yet painting.
For there can never be a sweet fairy godmother
But mothers-in-law acting god and bitter!
And you tell me we shall live happily ever after
When you would not even taste that pumpkin in your platter?
Stop staring by your window waiting for your armored knight
He will not fetch you with his horse tainted white.
And will you please stop thinking those birds sing songs for you
Fairy tales are not meant for someone as unloving as you!

Like opening my window
On the first day of spring
I just have to hear her name
To feel that same burst of intensity
Fresh and charged with energy
Her love for me her goddaughter
Her devotion to La Familia
Her compassion for humanity
Her incessant boundless creativity
Her effervescence and zest for life
I hear her name and feel the hurt inside
For the grief that will never heal
Yet she taught me to be strong
And carry on so I pick myself up
I do my best to made her proud

Two days from now,
I am going to meet my Prince…
I am excited and nervous as I seem,
Geez, I am not prepared to meet him…
I don’t know what to wear,
I don’t know what to do with my hair...
I don’t have a nice and sexy dress,
I only have blouses and colored shirts...
I have denims, and I don’t have skirts,
I don’t have sandals, wedges or stilettos...
I only have pairs of girly rubber shoes,
To keep my feet at ease wherever we go...
I will wear red lipstick and some blush on,
Curl my eyelashes and put some makeup on...
But what to wear and what to do with my hair?
This is what I worry, and I am so insane…

Aunties Tomato Greenhouse
Walk up to the greenhouse,
Step inside the door,
There's a forest of tomato plants,
Wander around, have a look and explore.
Look left, then look right,
Then at the ceiling to the floor,
Surrounded by tomato plants,
There is tomatoes galore!
How did Aunty grow them?
Was it with lots of kindness and love?
And a watering can,
Like rain from the sky above.
Or did the fairy godmother (Aunty Phil)
Wave her magic wand?
And sprinkle a little magic,
That made them so big and strong!
Now step outside the greenhouse,
Take a tomato or two,
They are tasty and delicious,
And also good for you!

art, feelings, first love,
I don't need fireflies
and stardust.
Or goblins in trench coats
and a fairy godmother.
What I do need
is the rawness of it.
The you,that's beautiful
and vulnerable and
soft hearted and kind.
The you that takes
the plunge to show
me how you truly are.
The imperfect you,that's a human
with innumerable flaws.
Flaws and scars which makes you.
Which makes me
love you all the more.
That's what I need.
Not a fairytale.
But reality.

Lilting voice of tender carriage
Defined her gentle being
As time had not dismissed
Her childlike charisma
Laughter often narrates thought
When memories give rise
Recalling her demeanor
In sweet tempered innocence
For in a world of dusk and gloom
Her light, a shimmer fair
Would offer loving respite
From course of heart’s concern
Though now her voice no longer
Carries forth the air we breathe
It will surely live forever
In the care of those who loved her
Dedicated to my loving Godmother
who slipped away to sing elsewhere

self,
I was deep in the bowels of depression alley
When I realized no prince or fairy godmother was coming
The only person who could save me was me.
Was I ready to do it? Or did I need more “poor me” time.
I like pitying myself sometimes, enjoy licking my wounds.
Love to go over the scenario, making someone else the villain.
Sometimes I do not like taking blame for my actions.
This was one of those times, so I went back to bed in my dark room.
I soon realized I was only hurting me, so I resolved to change.
I began to dance, wildly enjoying a better me of myself, feeling better.

beautiful, england, god,
The prince and princess met and fell in love,
A beautiful extravagant wedding guested.
She wore an exquisite gown of lace,
He wore a handsome uniform.
They were married in a cathedral,
With many honorable guests.,relatives and friends.
They rode in an elegant royal carriage,
Driven by noble horses and great steeds.
Like a fairy tale romance come true
We are looking for the fairy godmother with the wand.
The guests dressed very fashionably,
With elegant hats and fascinators.
A royal carriage took them back to the palace,
Accompanied by the queen's royal guard.
A storybook wedding come true.
How romantic and lovely is that.

christian, grandmother, poetry, remember,
She walked the path of righteousness
where her foot, through faith,
would not be moved.
Her days were long
but still she walked
the way of which the Lord approved.
Mother of my mother,
the love you bear for every soul
I cannot imitate,
for it was real
and true to heart:
a love the that I must intimate.
The accolade you would refuse,
and humbly so decline
but honour bound to any other
who bears a cross with such resolve
while teaching me to do the same,
I can't endear like you, Godmother!
