Petal

Pink and perfect mystery
to which I ply my finger,
she ripens so exquisitely
the longer that I linger

and fluff the modest blossom
with my gentle loving hand,
teasing, ever pleasing
so that now I understand

how beautiful the flower
that yields without duress,
blooming now so fully
in the warmth of my caress.

Desire

Your love touched me…
As a butterfly softly alights on a flower.
I didn't notice until you flew away.

Writing a Love Sonnet POTD

If only I could write you a sonnet,
Iambic pentameter and what not,
Let my muse mull profoundly upon it.
I must write it quickly lest I forgot.

It will have to stress real passion, love,
Mention a rose if I really must
But for heaven's sake leave out the white dove,
Still do mention the red moon that I trust.

Compare her eyes to some fragrant flower,
And wish to taste her full strawberry lips,
Scheme to meet her in a quiet bower,
Clouds enfold us in mythical eclipse.

Will she come, will she go, my marigold?
Ah, my poor love sonnet has now gone cold.

By Any Other Name

If love could have a color, I suppose
it wouldn’t be just any common shade.
I’d name it for the colors of the rose.
In heaven’s hues this flower is arrayed!

From chaste love’s hush of pink to heady rush
that’s shown by cardinal or crimson red,
the rose reveals the grades of ardor’s blush
unto the time it’s thought that passion’s fled.

But in the tint of amaranth, the fire
endures; in purple deep it can transcend,
while yellow blooms in bliss that does not tire,
and white’s fidelity will have no end.

Though black the bud, a red will grow thereof.
By any other name, the rose is love.

Dandelion Dream

-Dandelion Dream-

I stand close with a fistful of flowers
My tiny bouquet made of dandelion dreams
They fade with one gush from the wind
I stand close with a fistful of flowers
Holding on tight to jagged leaves
Sprinkles of sand fall over my needs
I stand close with a fistful of flowers
My tiny bouquet made of dandelion dreams

Signature of Life

Over the still pond
a leaning branch of Iris
Messenger of Love

sudden gentle breeze
flower kisses the water
whispering love talk

ripples in water
sending another message
signature of life

Lemon Trees

I know the land where the lemon-trees flower.
My love met me near them, to linger an hour.
I kissed him, I hugged him and smelled the sweet scent,
And prayed it stayed with him, wherever he went.
The day was so perfect, the skies were so blue.
The fragrance entrancing and love was so new.
He broke off a blossom and gave it to me,
And promised his love for an eternity.
My friends were so happy to plan bridal showers
And my wedding bouquet was of lemon-tree flowers.

From the Deepest Caves One Name Echoed

Smiling hotly you're the flame captured underneath
burning with a sunrise golden gleam frosted

Sparkling within dewdrops crystals crash
over oceans waves rise and fall to grace

At your feet adoring they kiss salt saluting promise
kneeling upon the sand footprints hold ground held

Those inside one thousand memories wrapped forever
perfect jewel you are the pearl of a deep sea always crowned

Lustre of one rainbow washed clean cut perfect flower
white lily from the heart of love you brought peace

My Goddess I Am Your Missionary

Tell me how may I show you devotion? No words are left in this dictionary. Which fool said love is just an emotion? My Goddess, I am your missionary. The essence of time is not eternal, but my adoration is evergreen. You are a flower that is nocturnal. Alive in every season - nature's queen. When adversity knocks upon your door, let me soothe your misery and sorrow. Does not matter if we are rich or poor, I will provide a better tomorrow. Come lose yourself in desire and passion. Our romance will invent a new fashion.

One Brief Moment

In one brief moment
you saw me as I am
without a word spoken
palm open for my hand.

Nary a harp string plucked
silence graced the air
silhouettes became one
my heart I laid bare.

Candle wicks were unlit
full moon a distant past
my emerald eyes glowed
your love echoing back.

Fire our skin to skin heat
scent unique unto us
not a flower in bloom
our souls we gave in trust.

In one brief moment
you saw me as I am
the memory of each breath
my bliss I'll always have.

Held Upon a Moonbeam Sighs

Visions of a way forward
raising the curtains dream magic
stepping into the spotlight view
captivating under a harvest moon

Rocked in the cradle of thoughts
your the flower sweetly awakening
deeply flames warmly embrace sunshine beams
growing beautiful rose petals tenderly touch deeply

When I trace your heart's echo
kissing this soul softly within dewdrops
weeping starlight tears of a breathless sigh
where the sunbeams dance with brilliance

Golden inside your rays honey
deliciously lights up priceless perfect
holding the breath for a moment love
our time shining purely unique sharing

Two Roses

On our wedding he gave a crystal rose
Flowering forever, enrobed in glass
Ballerina's grace in delicate pose
Guardianship of tradition, of class

Witness of first years, of paper, cotton
Commitment held, her thorns learn to forgive
Pain polished away, stains dimmed, forgotten
Like love immortal, death she will outlive

Ten years on, he presented me her twin
Silvery spring caught; his honor, my gift
For old promises kept, new ones begin
He is still my rock amid rivers swift

Two roses, bloom in space the heart allows
Two roses, as eternal as our vows.

Pretty Dragonfly Spreads Love

In a gorgeous meadow chock full of butterflies and daylilies there lived a
sassy happy beautiful dragonfly. She was loved by the tulips, roses, and coneflowers. The monarchs revered her, seeing the joy she brought to the meadow. This little dragonfly did her best to fit in, nurturing each aspect of the meadow as was her right.

		           pretty dragonfly
                 spreading love to the flowers
                          expecting nothing

A Wilted Rose-Lei

is love to be a wilted rose
to fade beneath the winter snows

to pierce itself with its own thorn
its beauty hide in death to mourn

i watch it bloom from tiny seeds
a spark of lust from passion bleeds

unfold itself within a kiss
then fade within the dying bliss

Moon Captured By Her Spells

Blue skies and rainbows

Science fiction and fables

Poetess and poet are making love

She’s writes the verses to undress me

Great lines that flower in her hair

Her lips of ink are red and rosy

Each stanza goes straight to my head

I want to read and read her

Over and over

Every day, any time

From cover to cover

She writes of loneliness and sorrow

Of broken hearts that never mend

She is the dream I need each morning

Moon captured by her spells

I want to read and read her

Over and over

Every day, any time

From cover to cover

Blue skies and rainbows

Science fictions and fables

Poetess and poet are making love

Finding My True Love

How I wish I could be free,
To cuddle her with a kiss.
Will you come and dance with me,
Your nearness I sorely miss.

You're so far away from me,
I must roam around to find
If you have sailed the far sea,
And left me alone behind.

I roam about among fields
Would she be there in some shrub?
With fragrance that flower yields,
Or watching me from some pub?

Night began to darken skies,
'twas time for me to have a meal
There I saw her lovely eyes.
Quickly with a ring I kneel.

Beauty In My Palm

You are the wild flower in my palm
With no stem to keep you anchored to this covetous earth
You are the fragile thing I dare not cup,
As your petals whittle away under the wind
And flit unfettered in the air;
Exaggerated fear leaves my fingers numb
Hungry need leaves my fingers twitching
And my hand is paralyzed by turmoil
As every breath of wind takes another petal from me
And brings to my lungs, my chest and my heart
An overwhelming scent of need-

You are the wild beauty in my palm
And I dare not hold you to my chest
For I fear to crush you
To know first hand
That caged beauty, is beauty no more.

Living In Your Dream

Floating across rivers, valleys, and streams I'm thinking of living inside of your dreams Run barefoot through nature, you chasing me End up tripping and falling in love by the sea We're two eagles that fly, soaring high in the sky Let the wind take our bodies, as life passes on by You're a delicate flower, I'm a young honey bee Sucking your nectar and starting a new family tree Sliding down rainbows after a warm springtime mist Laughter and giggles when on your cheek I plant my kiss Your dream will not end having me inside you Our days will get brighter and our night times will too

Persian Haiku 2

Persian Haiku 2

What a gorgeous view!
You and the flower garden,
I'm the butterfly.

Your eyes, the ocean;
The ocean colors your eyes.
Your hair is the wave.

Moon on the ocean,
Your face is the reflection.
Always be alone.

I live with my heart,
All flowers are beautiful,
I love daffodils.

What a discussion,
I had with all my flowers.
Their breath smells nice.

My Dear Valentine

In the depths of the night I swear I saw your halo
Drifting above, when my thoughts were calm
Ornate but simple like the humble daisy
Lovely and stunning from flower to bulb
Oh how I dreamt that you could be mine
Vision of beauty as the belle of the ball
Enchanting the evening as we waltz to and fro
You had my heart and I knew it was luv
O my beloved, my truth, my valentine
Until death do we part, my love to you I bid

Just Look Into My Eyes

For these moments in time that I'm with you At a loss for words to try and explain I know in my heart that you feel it too For you make my whole world appear so sane We give to each other a warmth so true You are my flower and I am your dawn For I am the grass and you are the dew Whenever I'm with you I feel reborn How do I express what you mean to me Shall I start with a song with melody Shall I paint a picture with imagery Please tell me dear for I need you to see There is no way to make you realize Just trust me, dear, just look into my eyes

A Flower

I love the smell and softness
of a flower as it lay
spread in splendid color
and sweet aroma stayed
like a virgins' kiss
with inviting touch
that gently opens
to give itself away.

Still Love You More Than As Before

Thousand years! Thousand years it is
Long living like the undying breeze
Deep down my self, deep down my ease
In the thick bark of my heart a love does exist
Thousand years ago
There exist for my mood, a flower that glows
Regulating my heartbeat and blood flow
Raising my guts up and down, in rows
Making my emotions like trumpets blow
Thousand years! Oh so long many years
And I can still feel the pricks of her lovely spear
And the scent of her placating presence, like roses very rare
Oh thousand years, and the love still exist, yes!
I still love you, till forever nonetheless

Lingering In Desire

Lift your eyes and gaze upon this flower who worships you with her heart on display A bud on trellis, twined in your tower now opens her fragile bloom for you today If you would pluck me from my vine tonight it would bring blush to petals crimson red What joy if my fragrance, in pale moonlight gives cause for you to place me on your bed Tis there I shall wither until my death content to die pillowed so near to you Lingering in desire of your next breath more thirsty am I for love than for dew Dream of the flower who for love has died Life surrendered for a night at your side
