They Walk Amongst Us

They walk amongst us, but in silent ways, spreading peace and love without any praise. When thunder roars and lightning strikes in rain they watch over us, healing bleeding pain. Yet we do not see their celestial light, nor do they shed feathers within our sight. Happy to hide behind unknown faces, empathy guides them to deprived places. Heal and soothe, they prevent tears from flowing, touch our hearts to leave our spirits glowing. From Sydney to London, Rome to Bombay, provide moments that take our breath away Their acts of grace form a ripple effect, kind gestures that help people to connect.

Leaves of Love

My heart bleeds sultry stars from beams up high, as planted promises sprout leaves of love, blooming through the rose haze of moonlit sigh, like balmy feathers of a diamond dove. You are the muse, quenching this muted ink, like the warm essence of a bonsai dream, kissed by the rain, as sparks from the sun sink, tracing verses of my poetic stream. Yet the world knows not what you mean to me~ you are the sonnet I weave with soft swirls and pastel petals aching to breathe free, bathed in the shimmer of Juliet’s pearls. Tonight, meet me where the stars never die~ we’ll be more than mere rhymes lost in the sky.

Hyacinth Hymn of Healing

In a hyacinth bed of seven stars, winter fairies waltz in pearl elegance~ a token of faith engrossed amidst scars, while skies drizzle rain in fruity essence. Angel of sleep seeks through frost's icy thorn, fallen feathers soar towards jasmine moon, when lotus light within soul is reborn, listen to the tree of life sigh and croon. Somewhere between daisy dusks and rose dawns, seeds of sun unfurl promises in gold, sowing herbs of hope across sequined lawns. In the realm of healing, love I behold.

The Halo of Her Heart

When you laid your hands upon my naked heart
feeling the flex of it's fire, accessing the innocent desire,
holding the form of a new need, I swear, that's when love did start,
your touch became my tradition, the wine of your wisdom my lovely teacher,

From the fine feathers of your soft steel wings
I write poetry of storms in paradise and of love in your eyes,
sympathizing with my sage solitude, yet subduing the sadness it brings
you offer me everything an angel owns, halo and bloodroots, and together we rise -

Can Poetry Matter

In the debate between accessible and difficult poems
Poets' poems and poems for people
Only the single poem and private reader matter

Both kinds and anything between can matter or not
Solid or made of air, a vase or heavy clay ashtray
One word repeated or many like a lei

An acquired taste, like wine, and like wine
Not sustenance, yet men die with their miseries
Uncut without it, news and mere matter

I advise everyone to keep a personal anthology of poems that matter
Or not. Perhaps it should be novels. Stones, insect wings,
Feathers, Birds you've seen, People loved.

Lost In Loves Space

love the style of your morning kiss
dancing lips deeply dazzling bliss

Catch you after curtain calls my dreams tonight
until the sun kisses your eyelids with golden light

Beautiful in one's mind weakness sang a dream
just floated to you dancing upon sunshine beams

Captivating ball of flames burning bright not the past
radiating golden warm future holds destiny our torch shines a light everlasting

Holding inside believing crowning beauty silently whispers without sound
Rising as night's tears leave a dew upon the ground

Crystal blue clear the happiness within joy brings
inside every wish was your desire softly feathers touching wings embracing sing

Evil Has a Childhood

toss anger, he said
into the bin of waste
waste not mankind’s love
with abuse and bite
the bullet skies
high the eagle flies
why not the steeple
less with feathers flocked
why not the pews on
threadbare knees
that knock and palms
close touch of closed
and ethereal eyes, in shock
of amazing blue, far above
the whizzing bell of shots
some fell, some rise
both have a knell and sigh
anger flung like monkey dung
lay upon the sheetrock roof
its lies are born and cradled
evil has a childhood, is able
to wean and crawl, to fall
toss anger, he spoke
to the deaf and blind
they never woke nor wised
up. six feet downer done
swept into the bin of waste
a godforsaken life

To the One I Lost

We both cared so much, you completed me,
Evidently you were meant for me.
Love persisted to manifest
Although at the same time blessed,
Till infinite heaven
Called, and forgiven.
I am driven
Belonging
Longing,
Tears.

Plead for closure of long years.
Prey as feathers picked off, death fret,
Like a scared bird, tangled in a net.
You completed me, I cannot forget.

Oh Your Beauty

Your beauty extends Into the heaven Whispering secrets of Happiness and affection. You look up at me and smile With crinkles in the Corners of your eyes. The smooth beauty of bare skin, Soft stroke of hair like feathers. I'm lost in the smell of Your hair & skin, Your eyes pierce my soul. Gaze upon me With those eyes again, I'm longing to be lost In your embraces. You are exquisite fire, A smooth burn of wild beauty. Your curly, long, light-burgundy hair frames An exquisite blend of exotic beauty. Your touch sends me over the edge, A longing which no verses can describe.

She Walks In Beauty

She walks in beauty
Following the above silver rays
Her hope fastening with some alacrity
Feathers of smile gently sways
Between stardust accompany to ignite
The clear darkness of her walking lane
From distant heaven echoes her docile gait,
Convivial fairies salute her when pace wane,
Lull solitude with half soul comes to meet her
To revel the moment of whilst gather once
She embraces below chiliad of the stars
Kiss the moonlight and beg for morrow bunce
Again she follows back the silverware gleam
And she walks in beauty into her pleased beam.

Cardinal Fancy

Dressed in bright red, standing proud
Feathers flapping bright, magnificently loud
Chirping, composing a love song
Take notice, in a flash he'll be gone
Happily feasting on seed all alone
Brown feathers appear, she's at his throne

I Am a Booby

My best feature by far, my bright azure feet.
A mating dance star, prowess cannot be beat.
South American bird, wing span of five feet.
My diving is absurd. Snow white breast is neat.
A morel mushroom head, strutting brown feathers.
Seventeen years of stead, love Pacific weathers.
Three hundred and thirty feet, of dive cannot be beat.
Do not need wet suit or any kind of scub-y.
I am the blue-footed booby.

Songbird

Dear little songbird,
With your beak of gold;
Wearing untidy feathers,
Sing a song sweetly told.
The wings of my songbird,
Seek blue fields above;
Where my feathered songster,
Serenades his love.
With wings opened wide,
He soars in the skies;
His darting and swooping,
Gives delight to my eyes.
He sings in the twilight,
Where my soul comes to be;
Joining the fireflies,
High up in the tree.
Dear little songbird,
Sing your hymn in the blue;
For I have no wings,
To fly with you.

Dixie Bird

Dixie was a little bird
Who flew from tree to tree
With bright blue eyes
And feathers gold
She was a site to see.

From tree to tree
And branch to branch
She flew around all day.

Her song would reach the tallest branch
Happy, loud and gay.

One day Dixie met her mate
While flying 'round the trees
A beautiful male with feathers orange
For all the world to see.

From that day on they fell in love
And that was plain to see
For the very next spring the trees were full
Of orange feathered birds with eyes
Blue as the sea.

Listen

The springs sun had kissed them
all, like fragrant feathers one by
one to earth did fall. Th Apple,
the Pear and Cherry, with April
showers will make merry. In
natures hand they will grow, to
the eye a ripening show. And
the orchard come to life, all
about to dance and sing, a hazy
calm shall sweetness bring.
Birdsong, butterflies while the
day, Bluebells, Buttercups ring
and sway. Lush green grass
adorns the ground, all is peace
and quiet found. And in the
evening when the sun sits low,
you can almost hear the orchard
grow, hear the whispers of Flora's
rhapsody and natures love in
harmony.

The You of My Past

I’ve left all of my thoughts
On your drowsy, cozy bed.
All those dreams that we’d
Put together then.
All those floating feathers
And your thrilled laughter
Still there lay.
There, on that bed,
I’ve forgotten all my smiles
And all that bliss
That you covered me with.
On your pillow I’d rest
My tears again
So you’d evenly pick them
Up with the tip
Of your lips.
I still remember you
As you were…
As now, you are not!

We will sometime
Return to our darling bed,
To expel this awful past…

You'Re My Man

You're my man, my mighty king,
And I'm the jewel in your crown,
You're the sun so hot and bright,
I'm your light-rays shining down,

You're the sky so vast and blue,
And I'm the white clouds in your chest,
I'm a river clean and pure,
Who in your ocean finds her rest,

You're the mountain huge and high,
I'm the valley green and wide,
You're the body firm and strong,
And I'm a rib bone on your side,

You're an eagle flying high,
I'm your feathers light and brown,
You're my man, my king of kings,
And I'm the jewel in your crown

Rest

Cancerous and tired
Drowned in a blunt loneliness
Again, the angel cried
Without a tear, voiceless
Cradled in the wind's silent caress

The moon, sole in the sky
Monolith of a forgotten day
Feathers scattered, unable to fly
The angel, mute, no more hands to pray
Restless, sleeping in dismay

From the darkness, new days arise
Senseless conundrum, undeniable
Unfortunately, the angel was wise
Hopes, only tales from a gone cradle
A lifeless God's deceptive mumble

Stars died in the blood of dawn
The angel's wounds slowly faded
The world's puppet, a mindless pawn
Twilight, once more desecrated
Another silly day for the condemned...

Burning Bell

We lay flowers on the grave
never gave them to the living
we put them in fancy vases
when we finally say I love you
a sundial whispers -it's too late

You think you've mastered forever
'til forever scratches at your graying door
dreams never fly without feathers of hope
blowing away like Mojave Desert gold

Limestone hearts worn away by indifference
everybody's taking -so very little giving
everybody's sitting in the same dark cave
talking to the saddened shadows of themselves
hearing only the echo of their desperation
sliding into the mouth of the burning bell.

Angel Sanctuary

Open your white wings and wait for me
I will come to you

Release me from earthly conflicts
Revive me with your beaming smile
Srround me with white lights
and heal all my senses

Sing to me with your gentle voice
until I fall asleep in your arms
and cover me with your white feathers

I need to find my angle sanctuary

Lovers In the Moonlight

Lovers in the Moonlight

If only God had made me a bluebird,
It's straight to your nest I would fly.
To feel the warmth of you again,
Never questioning~ why.

Lovers in the moonlight, we.
Perched in a fragrant apple tree.
Watching stars zoom rhapsodically.
While you flutter your eyes at me,romantically.

Oh, the thought of us together!
Doth make my feathers shake and shimmer.
My bird of eternity, soul of my soul,
My eternal love and sole soul's winner.

Heaven Remade

Angels falling
From man's heaven onto man's land
This world is hell, blooming
And blood and fire, and roses
And wounds and pain, and love
And me, fighting again

Feathers swirling
Cut off from darkened wings, bleeding
Sliced and torn in an endless dive
Tears of life, crimson
Sometimes flying, mostly failing
From man's heaven onto man's land
Heaven in hell and hell in hell

Angels bleeding
The bliss of pain, cut me again
Wings I do not want
Bound to a fake sky
Chained to a cruel Earth
Hell everywhere, blooming
Reality, crash into it
And blood and fire, and roses
And wounds and pain, and both
And you, smiling maybe

Til Then Burning

Today I awoke, half-eaten by
a stubborn flame that cannot die

though long the coal departed;
I lay here broken-hearted,

like it was yesterday she said
she needs me not before she fled

as times before, though yearning
and every time returning.

I wonder as the months go by
her lodging, and the reason why

she bore it all, untethered
then left me just her feathers

and the most pretty memory
for my diurnal reveries

assuring, to be clear,
to me she’s dying to be near

and yet dreams of returning,
to quench me, ‘til then burning.

Winter Magic

On the still, cool twilight, falling, Like softest feathers, gentle snow. in the skies, rising high stars glow. While the moon resists night’s calling. On this frosty thought, my mind stirs, Shy as the moment when death comes. Will winter’s smile bare fear that numbs? Or will love flow free as she purrs?
