Gems of Love

Bright stars shine in night skies
Like bangles, baubles and beads
Puts a twinkle in every girl's eyes
Like a gift of fine jewelry

A pair of sun stone earrings
Presented to the daughter I love
Some expensive fatherly bling
The price for her, one hug

Red copper reflecting inclusions
Dark middles fade to light edges
An adventurine feldspar illusion
Perfect for eternal love pledges

Turquoise blue or teal green schiller
Either one is an eye to heart thriller

Echoes of the Heart

The pounding of my heart Echoes in my ears Of the things that made it beat All throughout the years The fondness for my friends Echoes back to me Some of whom I've known For half a century The pattering lover’s beat Echoes in my soul A rhythm that sounds so sweet From the girl who makes me whole The fatherly, thumping sound Echoes throughout the house From the love for our children In tandem with my spouse The echoes of your heart Will put a smile upon your face As long as it beats From being in the right place

Forty Words of Fatherly Advice

From father to father, here's some friendly advice
Offer love and support, be wise and concise
Responses are remembered and magnified in young eyes
Think before you speak is most highly advised
Yesterday is gone, and be willing to compromise

Lost and Found

he wanders,

somewhere,

never,

returning home,

his children,

searching,

everywhere,

for a fatherly love,

finding it,

In destructive things,

the hugs,

that drown pain,

grown,

blowing,

his own kisses,

they never can,

reach home,

from his Father,

the words,

a gift for one,

that he never,

heard,

"I'm so proud,

of you,

my son."

Rich earth's in His hands,
But, why such disrespect?

Fatherly Love

Do you sense my hand in your watery world
In that aqueous land? Baby boy, baby girl?
When I feel you move neath her skin on my palm,
is it that you are soothed by my fatherly charm?

How about my rough voice when I sing lullabies?
In your universe moist, do you know it is mine?
Do you know you are mine as no other can be?
In your watery shrine do you recognize me?

Do you long for the touch of my fatherly hand?
Do you feel my love much in that watery land?

Dear God

Dear God, you heartless bastard
Where the devil have you been?
You’ve not been near nor by me
You have not been heard or seen
I have had no words of wisdom
Nor some fatherly advice
All my prayers have gone unanswered
Now, that isn’t very nice
Though I know I’m not an angel, and
In fact, sometimes I’m hell
There is good inside me somewhere
As I’m sure that you can tell
For the love of bleeding Jesus
I have never asked for much
If a miracle’s a problem
Could you please, just get in touch

My Father's House

My father's House

In my father’s house
In my father’s house I feel at home
I am welcomed.
I am accepted
I belong to my father’s house.

In my father’s house
There is peace.
There I am free
In my father’s house
I can grow up
And show up all time.
I like my father’s house.

My father, my father,
Great is your house
Lovely is your house
Peaceful is your house
You made it so.

My father O my father
You made your house our house
You make us welcome.
 My father my father
Your fatherly love is great in your house.

Farewell My Little Princess

Baby girl, daddy has lost his words
Daddy's mind is travelling out of this world
Daddy's trying hard to stay in control
Daddy can't seem to do his Fatherly role
Daddy needs God to take control
Daddy wanted you to grow old
But God thought it best to call back your soul
I guess he knew you, where made righteous and whole
Daddy trust God to take over his fatherly role
God is the only one, who knows how to cherish your soul
From now on he will be that one to console.

Mr Roy

I sigh at the sight of Mr. Roy,
He seems a very loving man,
A warmth he carries,
That can be felt
Even miles far away.

I sigh at the sight of Mr. Roy,
The heart laments the absence of warmth,
I only wish words few of love,
But often met with blows of curse,
I look on and on but no escape meets.

I sigh at the sight of Mr. Roy,
I know there exists still love latent,
Somewhere in the chains,
Waiting to be discovered,
By the full moon light.

I sigh at the sight of Mr. Roy,
I know the lamentations are sure to kill,
What lives little of hope,
I still seek the fatherly love,
But the clouds shroud the moon still.....

Priceless Praises

For His love timely and true
like the skies so bright and blue.
For His mercies that endure
and His promises so sure;
with a grateful heart we sing
priceless praises to our king.

For the fresh fruits in our field
and the wondrous wealth we wield.
For the strife and storms He stills
and great help from heaven's hills;
With a grateful heart we sing
priceless praises to our King.

For His fatherly embrace
in this garden of great grace.
For the purity and pow'r
and the sweet heavenly show'r;
with a grateful heart we sing
priceless praises to our King.

Fatherly Love

Son, save this picture as I smile at thee
Hold on to this memory as you grow
Nothing is more important than you to me
Family time I want you to know

Hold on to this memory as you grow
The sights, the sound, the conversation
Family time I want you to know
Togetherness is our salvation

The sights, the sound, the conversation
Nothing is more important than you to me
Togetherness is our salvation
Son, save this picture as I smile at thee

What I Love

I love fellowshiping with the Lover of my soul

Jubilant divine ecstasy … blest sublime goal

Kindling revival in His presence makes me whole

Lavish caring, indeed securing midst His fatherly role.

Marvelous friendship with God delights* my heart

Nourishing, nurturing spirit against selfishness’ dart

Ordering my steps toward reaching-out part

Propelled by sweet intimacy along prayer start.

*Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Fatherly Love

Rejoice thee
To the holy spirit
As I have come out of the shadows
And there are five of those
Feel them

The clarity of confusion
Leads to be victories
Which is meant to be
Leads to be fruitful
Which is suppose to be

Rejoice thee
To the holy ground
As you were born to be one
And there is a variety of those
That you are

God, My Father

I have a Father

The creator of the universe

Agunechemba

Lion of the Tribe Of Judah

My strength and protector

The Lion that Guards the Universe

My Heavenly Father

I have a Father

Abba Father

My Source and provider

Because of the love You have for me

You sent Your only Son to die for me.

You are indeed my Father.

Lord, I dedicate this poem to You, and before I celebrate

Fatherly roles in my life...

I celebrate You first.

Thank You, God, for being my father,

 source, and provider.

My Daddy, Daddy weh de pamper

I worship You

God my Father.

Father

From the day I was born
your fatherly love overwhelmed me.
When you were gone
my heart my life was torn.
You showed me how to be me
with that, I will always be free.

Fatherly Haikus

Courage is action
When terror strangles your heart
You act anyways

Violence subdued, men
Become peaceful, not harmless
Peace is self control.

Love exists only
When acted upon in pain
Love's not without grief.
