The Heart's Journey

Should there be such pain in
passion of the heart?
Or does the heart,
simply by beating,
know the boundaries of pain
when it can no longer absorb any more joy?
The two seem intertwined at times,
each exalted unto itself.
From euphoria to melancholia,
the heart is on an endless journey
seeking harmony and balance,
yet finding anything but.
We torture our souls
for the sake of love,
enduring countless curves,
on the road to the steep summit
where a plateau cannot survive
the weathered storms for long,
but for the season’s summers
we exist.

Ballast

This love, enduring - ballast of the soul
is ever curing, thee to mine, not role,
but a clear stream of commonplace, of knoll,
that not division's grinding can control!

Heart spoken, not then of some earthly toll,
life's emptying - its prisons, its extol
is neither weight's dissension or escrow,
that carrying as to mention, only know.

Love's ballast - risen, tempered - Godly show
is faith within, the inner mind's re-vow
does save, and then does throw away the dole,
while joy of true love, living is enow!

Being Accepted As I Am

Having lived my own life
lessons you learn through time
ones that count for life
to forget would be a crime

Stammered every day since birth
enduring it all incredibly tough
but better things around my corner
believing it could be enough

One day God broke through
revealing His love in His blessed son
who had died for all my sins
to indwell me shows salvation's done

This God assured me of one thing
He accepted me just as I am
nothing I bring just to Jesus cling
this truth eternally brings me calm

(I have written this to pass on the main life lesson I've learned throughout my life that this has kept me calm and how to live in the forward direction.)

Humanity

How thin, the veil that wraps us, tenderly, in life -

Unseen filaments of energy, cognition and mass,

Made enduring by the weave of a hand, divine,

And the employment of immaculate intention ...

Nonetheless, we rise and thrive as if immutable -

Immortality, a harlequin of hope for the faithful.

Time and constitution may crumble ahead of us,

Yet the human spirit perseveres... through LOVE.

The Gift of Christmas

Let one bell toll for each and every soul in this most joyous season
To remind our hearts of a greater gift that lifts our lives with reason
Renewed with hope, with love and peace, reborn each Christmas day
From Grace we're shown the greater plan by a child that led the way

To live this life in virtuous light, it's worth dispelling wrongs
Would surely leave its epitaph sung in loves most enduring songs
With extended hands and spirits full, that never bend or sway
Could truly be the greatest gift for the child that led the way.

Fallen Angel

A lovely woman in the night, forlorn, holds in her hand a rose; pale is her face against the backdrop of a storm just born. Amidst loud thunder, she shows only grace. She wears on her left arm the picture of a heart. Indelible, it’s a tattoo, the emblem of enduring faithful love. Dark wings surround her, for to earth she flew. She is an angel, but a fallen one, forced out of heaven gate, for she could not resist a man! The other angels shun her now because a mortal’s love she sought. Her paradise she’s lost. Has her revolt been worth it? Toward her streaks a lightening bolt! Written Aug. 19, 2017; inspired by Laura Loo's Fallen Angel Contest

Who Loves You, Baby

who loves you
if i don't
tell me, who's going to fix this
if we won't
don't nobody miss you
like me
and i know don't nobody kiss you
like me
not with lips and tongue
but heart and soul
with sweat and tears
been in my blood for years untold
incurable and uncontrolled
this thing of ours
the passion worth enduring
the painful hours
this puppy love
got dog balls
cat claws and
church halls
echoing wedding bells
pulsing through each blood cell
trust me, baby
i know the difference between heaven and hell

Galactic Love

Our love eternal an enduring infernal Thru galactic mist it shall always exist Our love undying magically mystifying How can I resist since you I’ve kissed Our love forever an endless endeavor Thru celestial skies our spirit never dies Our love in hell a fragile empty eggshell They will chastise within lamenting lies Our love reborn I shall obediently adorn Your ever presence a potent pleasance Our love Galactic with clusters climactic A floral fluorescence a lust luminescence. True Love

The sky looks blue and alluring
The lovers look tired but enduring
Clinging to love which has waned and disappearing
As memories of yesterday kept on interfering

Love looked so real and true
Filled every night with warmth untrue
Made them believe in peaceful bliss
Which did not go beyond the deceitful kiss

Human love so weak and ephemeral
Comes with intensity so ethereal
But crumbles as fast under a weak foundation
Cause it has a beginning and an end

God's love is ever enduring
Neither beginning nor ending
Love so pure and caring
Demonstrated on the cross in a manner so glaring.

One Drop

to a melancholic heart
one drop of love
are blooming roses
arouse enthusiasm
sing thousands heart’s desire

in silent decending
of its sparking beauty
lay away veiled senses
imply enduring tranquillity

glorious fragrance
exclusive enchantment
benign smile

one drop
to reach life’ s abundance

wish i could just have
my only one

Spiritual Gift

Love
Come; sit for a bit
on sunlit verdant coverlet
with uncluttered mind

Welcome sweet Wisdom,
and let the Word
sow blossoms of Love.

Gardener’s incessant
sun-shower
nourish the fruit
of the kingdom
as roots bore deep

Leaves greet the heavens
enduring special grace
inviting my soul
reflecting its rainbow

The Mood of Her

How delicious, the mood of her....

   how dear she soothes

   what I cannot reach ----

Fills that big-old-hole below

in the depths of my soul,

   each time sweeter things....

And soft lips searching,

   my long reach,

   with her mere whim

   she touches tender doubt,

And makes me believe,

that love is swift and enduring,

She is 'longer' and more lovely each day,

reaching delicious, the mood of her....

   (how dear she soothes)

Enduring Hearts

The left handed boy with a stick in his hand drew a row of hearts
across the sand. Tides crept in and washed them away but he
drew them again the very next day..
A girl pinned a heart on the arm of her sleeve. It rhythmically pulsed and
began to breathe, open to all to give and receive..
Children colored hearts and kept in the lines. They gave theirs away
as Valentines..
A teen carved a heart in the base of a tree, professing his love
til eternity..
Two lovers soaked in a heart shaped tub, their bodies intertwined
in an intimate hug..
A life is now gone and laid to rest while their heart beats on
in another person's chest..

My Daughter

One can have money, riches and diamond rings.
Searching in stores for resplendent things~
But a loyal and loving daughter cannot be bought.
She's God's gift to me, that I
 never sought.

When friends and family leave,
She knows how fully I grieve!
A knock on the door I do not expect,
There she stands with a special gift.

Her endless and enduring love I don't deserve.
Nor her constant friendship like a bubbling brook.
Her brown eyes and sparkling smile,
Enable me to walk all lonely miles.

She is in my heart, she is my child!

Yes I Know

I once bared a mark
Of a broken heart
That took my sanity faraway
And had nowhere to stay
Everything was a war
Everything was sore
But yet I breathed again
Enduring all the pain
Yes I know

I had to start somewhere
For me to care
I had to find hope
For me to cope
I had to look around
For me to hear the sounds
I had to smile more often
For me again to blossom
Yes I know

Time patiently healed
And what was the deal
Along came another heart
Allowing me a brand new start
And with all the strife
I have to accept this life
Yes I know

A Word From You

By Valerie D. Staton

Whenever circumstances go awry,
And it seems like you cannot catch a break;
Cast your cares on the One who sits on high,
Who's incapable of making mistakes;

There is purpose for all of life’s events,
Be they joyous or encumbered in sorrow;
The same God that hovered above Moses’ tent
Is with you – today, tonight, tomorrow;

Bring all your concerns to God through prayer,
His infinite love is enduring and true;
The all-knowing God is everywhere,
Always waiting -  to hear a word from you;

Natural Love

Natural love
Love cooked over a wood-fire
Smoky, smoked, well-preserved love
Well-worn love that fits just right
Like an old leather jacket
Love with wrinkles and smiling lines
Freckles and blackheads
Love with all kinds of kinks and twists
Love that writes love-letters in blue ink
Love so enduring it has callouses
Hard-working love
Love on vinyl, the gramophone kind
Love with no expiry date
No warranty required
Love that embraces the tedium of life
Slow-brewed love that numbs the aches and pains of life
(The elixir)
Love that flows from an infinite source
Natural love

She

She

A prison of love's enduring embrace
I taste her lips, I see her face
And span the gulf of space and time
to the Spring of Joy when she was mine.

The Thief of Time's measured grain of sand
Bound by Destiny's design and plan
Her path led her away from me
The one who will always remain...she

And now Winter's Wind claims dwindling days
My time ascribed on clouds and haze
And in my heart a love will always be
The one I love, that one is she.

I wrote this after reconnecting with my first love.....that spans 50 years

All In One

Love so creamy so sweet
Love so enduring and could be as well scurry
Love gives and surrenders her depth with no end
Love the mother of all emotions.
Fragmented into the best of gold
Encrusted within amethyst
Smooth and beigey
Dipped in finest of berries cos Love stays juicy
As colourful as thick rainbow is how love feels
Love reigns as the best exchange rate ever made
Love with its solid ground but mushy edges
Love speaks softly and has been around since ages
Love touches our heart and most time, keeps us beaming....
The topic is Love and it's quite lovely

America the Great

America The Great

I love this great country, may she stay the course
We’re protected by God and American brute force

Her life-giving blood is for you and me
She holds many wonders, from sea to shining sea

Through blood, sweat and tears, she’ll weather all time
We are still very young, but forever in our prime

Our people are diverse, an enduring breed
Blessed by God, every color and creed

The Gift of Love

Memories left from lifetimes before,
Echo's etched deep in my mind,
I can hear your footsteps once more,
As my soul searches through endless time.
Where do you find the serenity, to deepen the way you love?
It's from where only the rapture that comes,
When two hearts begin to beat as one.
Do you hear the calling,
from the innermost part of your soul?
for a love which is all enduring, like a secret never before told.
It awakens a love of once in a lifetime,
A rarity all in it's own.
It's standing right before you,
Its more beautiful than anyone could have ever known.

Breathe

Breathe i breathless.
Sleeping in a nightmare of unseen loveliness.
Restless in my mind and body.
Through a tunnel of devastating reckoning.

Crying sound of a wounded ostrich.
The echo of a oceanwaves demolishing sea afterlife.
My feminist touches cursed.
His enduring love of a dying poetical.
He dies in his lust of pleasure.

Anniversary Thoughts

Love becomes quiet
As the years accumulate
As its roots deepen
A tree becomes more stable
Capable of enduring
