i miss you, soulmate,
Dearest Darren I miss you oh so much
All I want is for you to be returned to good health
Romantic writes you penned so well
Ridiculous sense of humour we share
Emails flew between us faster than Concorde
No one could make me laugh the way you do
Wish I knew how you are doing my friend
All my love and prayers are sent to you
There will never be another to take your place
So much fun being your poetry partner
Oh what a blast we had writing as Jadazzle United

I can't wait to have that empty nest
that peace and quiet
days of rest
texts and emails can tell
that everyone is doing well
I can sit in the garden and text you back
enjoy the quiet
ice tea and a book
I'd have the dog all to myself
maybe I'll get another him a companion
I'll enjoy the order
a little less dust
time to myself
daydreamings a must
I will think a whole thought without interruption
make love any time of day
in every room
without fear of discovery
(that could be the best part)
we'll be like teenagers all over the house
when, again, are you all getting out?

girlfriend-boyfriend,
Those love letters
emails,
across the globe
kisses,
reaching two souls.
still,
these dreams are hollow
their presence is
missing.
Reality bites when
technology doesn’t permit
physical interraction.
Only words, words and words
travel through the wires.
Interconnected dreams
allows rapturous romance
For Technology cannot restrain desires
for all those who are willing to unite with their long distane love...

Me, my sister and mom dad
Lot of love and care
But not together
Live in different places
Still miss each other
Phone calls and small texts
Video chats and emails
Keep us together
Visit once a year
Talk and gossip all the day
Miss them when return
Memories we keep
Of the lovely childhood spent
Always in our hearts

angel, brother, death of a friend, farewell,
My last kiss was given on the forehead.
I gave well wishes for the journey ahead
And tears welled up in my eyes.
I knew it was goodbye
There'd be no emails
No letters
No phone calls.
And confusion, love, and blessings were exchanged.
We hugged.
I walked away, and prayed for happiness, for relief
He deserved his blessings and though it hurt,
His happiness mattered more.
It was my birthday wish.
My goodbye kiss
To my brother.
The end of one journey begat another
Safe travels, rest in peace.

longing, love,
Are you there, by the table
In your living room?
What a pity I’m unable
To see through the gloom
Winds are blowing, leaves are dancing
The trees are standing bare
All my emails are unanswered
Like you didn't care
To reply me, cause you don’t know
What about to write
I’m not welcomed, off I go
Into the cold of night
Silence is a strong reply
And you use its power
Probably to show that I’m
Not your garden flower
You are silent, and I’m speaking
For us both again
Like a water I keep leaking
Spilling down my pain.

friendship, life, loss, love, sadlove, me,
We may be separated by miles
But our friendship will never die.
I will miss you so much,
All I want to do is cry.
But I suck the tears back,
Cause I know we’ll be together once more.
You told me not cry,
So my tears will not pour.
I love you so much,
You don’t even know.
But if out East is where you belong,
Then out East is where you must go.
We’ll won’t lose touch,
We’ll talk all the time.
Phone calls, emails, and letters will have to do,
Until you’re eyes meet mine.
We can not avoid,
The fact that I will miss you.
I love you,
And I know you love me too.

best friend,
How can a unique and special bond,
between a man and a woman,
now separated by a great distance
survive over a decade.
Over the years we have pursued our own paths,
we have found ourselves separated by great distances
with emails forming the contact lines,
we have written to each other of
our plans, problems, hopes, achievements, disappointments, and successes,
as well, as our day to day happenings.
Our emails have been a strong life line streched halfway round the country.
to me they are a continuous message,
of love and dependence,
Once romantic,
Now spiritual,
Enduring.

funnyme, drug,
I feel no need of anonymity
to come here and confess my biggest sin.
I crave too much my junk food, certainly,
but eating it has not yet done me in!
I count my calories and do not smoke;
I exercise and never do I drink.
I’ve not had drugs, not even one small toke,
so why no time for dishes in my sink?
Because my passions rule me! No. . . not flings!
It’s emails, books and films that take my time.
I’ve too much fondness for too many things,
like how I love to sit and make a rhyme. . .
For there’s one thing that overwhelmingly
consumes me and its name is poetry!

friendship, love, valentines day,
this distant friendship that we’re sharing
in the cyber skies
that brings us close with spirits caring
far beyond surmise
the daily emails sent sincerely
filled with cyber hugs
this distant closeness showing clearly
at the heart string tugs
exchanging thoughts on life and doling
news of families
in hard times caring souls consoling
life’s analogies
thus loving hearts are filled with bliss
as cyber stars align
and so tonight I’m sending you this
Midnight Valentine

love,
The days seem long,
The nights feel lonesome,
I live in the anticipation,
That you will be back in my life soon.
The days of love letters are history,
The emails get to be very cryptic,
The ilu and imu seem farfetched,
When what I long to hear are a few live loving words.
What I am missing is not the wealth or pleasure,
But your love and undivided attention,
I want to hold your hands and put my head on your shoulders,
Just being with you makes my life worth living for.
The anticipation of our reunion,
Will erase the pangs of separation from my heart,
The waves on the beach would not be beating the shores that impatiently,
since you will be in my heart, body and soul.

“To Love Someone Like You”
Somehow on this great big earth
I found my way to you
across the land and through the seas
I love the things you do.
You always make me smile so warm
with the emails you send my way
you never fail to type some words
of love for me each day.
I always rush to get back home
I miss the love we share
it really means the world to me
that you are always there.
Happiness is what you give to me
with your love so true
I am blessed my soul was reaching out
to love someone like you...

Look at you all
So beautiful as you stand tall
Look at you all
Fine as you roll this ball
No need for sunglasses, your eyes sparkle
Let's store the cameras away, twinkle twinkle
I love your shave, your bear too, your smooth, your wrinkle
Let's keep this beauty on, it will never dwindle
Let's keep the albums rolling, and keep the sprinkles sprinkling
Let's keep the emails active, with thank you
THANK YOU's
Feeding the soul with the positive, all you

love, memory, words,
Do you remember the days of love letters?
All written by hand,
None of this text talk,
Oh, it was quite grand.
There’s nothing quite like,
Clutching a love letter in your hand,
Sent from a lover from overseas,
Fighting in a far-off land.
It was always quite romantic,
When you were passed a love note in school,
You hoped with all your heart,
It was from the person you thought was cool.
We’d store them in old shoe boxes,
Hide them under our bed,
Keeping them for lonely nights,
The ones we’d always dread.
Perhaps it still happens today,
Maybe not as much,
With emails and mobile phones,
We’ve kind of lost that touch.

writing,
This is a story that’s just beginning to unfold,
A bond between two people that knows no boundaries.
There are so many things about us left to be told,
Interesting anecdotes and childhood memories.
It’s only been a month, but I feel such a connection,
As if we’ve known each other for many, many years.
Our difference in culture is part of the attraction.
Though we’re worlds apart, I hope, some day, to hold you near.
For now, I’m happy to get to know you through your letters.
I’m falling in love through pictures and emails.
From here on out, our lives together can only get better.
We have plenty of time to work out the little details.

Passing emails if we were kids
stuck in study hall
Sending IM’s to meet up
As if Romeo tapping the window
Getting Juliet to come out
To get that glimpse that touch the kiss
Greeting at stores walking in sink
Stopping my hands on your hips
As they knew they were ment to be there
Backing against me knowing
Im getting excited

Your emails are deleted as fast as sent.
On my cell’s contact list, you don’t exist.
I burn your face over and over again
Until only charred memories remain.
You’re on the internet with that other person,
In real time, abusing my emotions.
Then, wanting me back to satisfy your ego,
Just to see me a butt-end joke on social media
(But that isn’t going to happen!).
Your asinine tactics putrefy my stomach,
Your condescending words make me vomit.
From one to ten, you’re like yesterday’s text,
A purged message flushed down the toilet.

I get irritable over emails about Viagra
the pill that is about extending the natural evolution
from stud to an old workhorse.
Everything comes to an end and to make love with
the help of a pill is artificially pressing the body to go through
acts it can no longer do alone.
there is some unethical about it as it no longer gives pleasure
only proving the old horse can still gallop.

december, muse,
December
In this bedroom I type out
“Amazon” where are the socks,
And then, and then, a press,
And “chocolate” and a dog leash,
And oh, yes, the simple things
To remember,
Here on this day of rain,
Emails of pain, will they make the grade,
So many little things, adding up to doorbell rings,
A budget bleak, I wait, I care,
The plane will land, will the candy set?
And oh, yes, the simple things
To remember.
The Savior awaits, the stars beam through,
I think of Christ and the days of you.
Musing through the coming days,
Waiting for family days,
I rush as best I may and smile,
Feel love so bright a while.
I read a poem of Heidi!
Will I know another December?

mothers day,
As Mothers’ Day approaches
There are emails on my phone
With gift ideas for Covid days
To throw your mom a bone.
So even if you’re stuck inside
Your love you’d be expressin’
If, on Trip Advisor, you’d book an
Aperitivo lesson.
A Roman local will explain
Just how to make this drink.
She’d need her own ingredients
And glassware, I would think.
Of course, this all is virtual
But she might find it nifty
To pretend that she’s in Italy
And all for $16.50!
